    I replaced my fan clutch and it worked for about a week and now it only works when I start my truck than it won’t come on again after it cools off the first time and the vehicle starts overheating if I’m stopped for a few seconds. Help?

    Thanks for the upload!! Question: Do you have to drain the radiator to do this job?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  7 років тому

      +vjurado11 Thank you for checking us out. You don't necessarily have to drain it, but it is a good idea to do it and refill at the same time to ensure proper function of the system. 1aauto.com

      so I replaced the clutch.. fan seems to still be engaged all the time.. does the pcm need time to adjust?

      +vjurado11 Thank you for checking us out. No you do not need to drain the radiator to replace the fan clutch! We always recommend you have your vehicle properly diagnosed if you are unable to accurately do so. www.1aauto.com

      I have not replaced anything yet and have this same issue. My fan will be engaged as soon as I start my vehicle after sitting over night.
      I have read that it is a bad PCM sensor sending a false reading of overheating, causing the fan to continually run.
      Any thoughts?

    So. You list a torque wrench, but forgot to actually use it.
