  • I made a very nice and functional router table this time. This project was conceived for a long time, and a lot of effort was put into making a complete work. As much as I put in the effort, I am very satisfied with the results.
    This router table is a standalone device, but it can also be used in conjunction with my table saw workbench. Then, it acts as an auxiliary side table of the table saw, and by connecting to the fence system of the table saw, the router table fence can be expanded widely.
    It was a lot, so I had to split it up into parts. This video is part 1.
    The material used as a base is 18mm birch plywood.
    Using birch plywood 24mm table top
    Red oak, purple heart, and handle wood are my favorite partuck woods.

    @10:16 ... this is why I never use the Dewalt base as a lift. When you disengage the clamp, it changes the location of the bit. It makes the bit move to 91°-93° and the height changes up to 0.4mm.
    I wish bosch would make a better height adjustment setting. One that lets you do micro-adjustments (up to 0.5mm) without unclamping the motor.

    I have to ask bro. What the name of that beautiful BANDSAW u have in ur shop? Is that an Axminister or someth? I love the look of that saw man. I say this all the time but I'm slowly beginning the move into my own small 16X10 workshop. It's taken a few months to get things near ready but I still have a lot to get for it.
    U have built one heck of a ROUTER TABLE there bro. I love it. I only hope I can acquire the skills one day to be able to build something that good. For now though I will be screwing my cheap router to a nice piece of Hardwood plywood and clamping it to my soon finished workbench. That'll have to do me for now and it'll work for the time being.
    U have a fine shop there with some great tools in it. What kind of chuck is that in ur DRILL PRESS? It looks expensive bro.
    Apologies for so many questions but I get giddy about tools at times. What can I say cept I love power tools. I will be investing in a good bandsaw next year and probably a good table saw with the cast iron table from Axminister. They have a great range and I cannot afford the Saw stop. They're way too expensive for my taste and where I live? little feckers would be trying to break in to steal everything so I have to be very careful about showing anything like that. LMAO..
    Anyways great video mate. Keep up the fine work. Ur inspiring me when I watch these videos..

    • @carpentak
      @carpentak  Рік тому +1

      thank you My friend My band saw is Laguna LT14/12. The drill press was replaced with a keyless chuck. It's not that expensive. It's convenient and worth the money. Power tools are of course the more expensive the equipment, but I choose them as long as they are up to the level I need. Keep trying and learn carpentry, and you'll make a good router table too. I hope my video is helpful.

      Ok. My router is a bosch GOF 1600ce. I bought a GKF 1600 base that uses the same motor and used it as a router table lift. This is to use the plunge router and router table with one motor without purchasing an additional motor.
