How did the paint hold up on the laminate countertops? I'm considering it for my kitchen countertop, even if it only lasts a few years. Or I may add a epoxy top coat..
@@denisefrandsen5106 Did you ever paint your counter tops? I'm moving into a new place and can't afford new counter tops for a while but I love the idea of painting them for the time being. Did you have to epoxy as well?
Originally purchased their Linen (qt) and Off-white (gal) when it was called 'Reclaim.' Created my own custom color. I've used this paint on a very large wall unit, dining set, four-poster bed, nightstand, dresser, sewing machine cabinet, lampshade, picture frames, lamp base, computer stand, etc. The Off-white just happened to be perfect match to apt walls so used to paint closet after plumbing repairs and to freshen up around deep-set windows. (Most likely forgetting other uses over the many years I've had it.) Started with the recommended stippling and roller but didn't like the look or texture so ended up doing all pieces with a brush. This paint was not the 'pudding' consistency but, rather, like lumpy Jello-O so was tad wary but laid down fine. More recently, bought their Bright White and it's thinner like yogurt. All the furniture pieces were mahogany and covered well. (Had a few small areas of bleed-through which I was able to seal with bit of clear nail polish....my only option.) Used Howard's Citrus Shield on everything (BP adhered well over waxed surfaces if changing color, etc). Did slight distressing and gave dimension with bit of Folk Arts' Antiquing Medium. None of the pieces were sufficiently covered with only two coats. They all required more and with some pieces, I took creative license with washes, color changes, etc so worked on some over a number of days. In small apt so the larger pieces had to be done 'in place' so appreciated that BP didn't necessitate much prep (wiped them down with vinegar water), lightly sanded pieces at start and between coats, and odor was very minimal (slight ammonia smell). Of the original qt and gal, still had lots left over after doing all the pieces. BP can now be had for less than I originally paid but ultimately very cost effective given the number of pieces done. Only picked up a pint of the Bright White to update and brighten certain parts. The finish has held up very well.
I’m very new to finishing furniture. I am going to paint my metal file cabinets with beyond paint. I’m excited. Thank you for all your videos; they are so helpful and even entertaining.
Thanks for creating this video. Just recently obtained a cute dresser with hutch for free. My granddaughter will be assisting me to refinish it so that she will realize its value. I thought that I was going to have to strip it, etc. This paint is a game-changer. I teally enjoy your videos. Take care.
I bought this color months ago after your last video with beyond paint and I haven't used it yet. This makes it look so easy peasy, need to find the right piece for it!!!!
This would catch my attention in a boutique. Very nice styling with the color & pulls you chose. Haven't tried the paint, but I just might on my bathroom cabinets.🌷🌷
Hi, I’m going to be painting my bathroom cabinets with white Beyond Paint. I had previously painted a vanity with gray Beyond Paint and really liked it. I’m painting over Fusion mineral paint in Raw Silk, I wouldn’t be painting over this because I really liked how they came out but I was new to painting and did not prime and needless to say I had bleedthrough everywhere. So, rather than prime over the Fusion mineral paint and then paint again I’m going to use Beyond Paint. Wish me luck!
I love watching your videos! Can you please consider making a video on how to fix dresser drawers that don't work quite right? I redo furniture and am always running into this problem. Thanks!
Yes,I like what you made of this drawer chest! Very classy those handles! Gives it an elegant vintage look. Do you, and if yes, Where do you sell your remodelled furniture?
Hi Jessica, I have been flipping furniture for about three years now. I love watching your videos! You are very creative and inspirational! I never know how to price my pieces. Can you please make a video on how you price each item? Thanks so much! 😊
Love the new color! I always learn so much from you. Would you recommend using a bit of your paint color mixed in with the top coat if you are using the gator hide top coat? Now to pick a color for my table!
I saw an earlier video of you using Beyond Paint. At the same time my wife was wanting a desk. I found a desk for $30, ordered Beyond Paint (Nantucket) with kit and painted it. So much simplier than stripping and/or sanding. Looks great.
Do you think the textured aspect of this paint might be less desirable to most customers? I'm at the stage of trying to appeal to a broader audience to move pieces quicker at the moment. I'm wondering if the texture will narrow who it works to and make it harder to sell? In watching many of your videos, you describe yourself as liking a crisp, clean, flat finish, so I'm intrigued, given that you like it. The ease of it is certainly appealing!
Beautiful job and I love the color! Do you think this paint would work on laminate kitchen cabinets or would the finish be too textured? I would like to paint my upper cabinets but have been afraid since they are not wood.
I want to paint the tiles on my fireplace then use a stencil. You can actually apply this over tile without any other prep except cleaning? I had looked at both Fusion and Dixie Belle and I think both of those recommend putting on a primer meant for things that are non porous ?
I recently received a 1920's telephone cabinet/desk that's in very good shape. I want to do something to modernize it and make it useful again. Is there any way to send you pictures and get your ideas about what can be done with it?
Just paid $30 for a cabinet with great shape and looking forward to transforming it. Can you tell me if Nantucket is a sea foam color with mix of green in the blue or mostly blue? Trying to find a light sea foam that is soft not bright. So far Beyond doesn’t answer phone and hasn’t responded to inquiry via website 🤷🏻♀️ Kind of bummed as I’m trying to get paint chip of Nantucket.
The color and hardware are calming. I am generally not a fan of painted wood, but the 3 pieces I have seen you do are very nice.
You have such a good eye for what works!
Fellow flipper here! I love this, the color, the hardware, everything… just gorgeous!
Thank you!
I have used Beyond paint on several things so far and I love the ease of use. I even painted my laminate bathroom counter tops.

It would work. I think this looks great on cabinets, but they will be slightly textured.
Thanks for asking this question as I am thinking of doing the same thing on my Builder Grade cabinets

If I use Beyond paint on shower tile , what would I seal it with, a regular poly?
I would love to know where you found those handles, I'm obsessed with your videos and creativity!!!
Amazon. Linked in the description box.

I want to paint a cherry wood dresser. Is pewter still on trend or are grays out for 2022? I also like navy but am scared that may be too bold.
Please christina where i am from i can't have this paint..the only available is Rust-Oleum chalk paint, is it anyway the same ??
Thank you so much
Beautiful! Can you please link the drawer pulls you used?
it's in the description box of the video.
All other Amazon products are linked, except the pulls
Beautiful! Do you need a topcoat to seal?
Not with this paint. It's built into the paint.
Hi as a beginner which paint and finish do you recommend for my first piece. I am in the UK. ?
If you are wanting to paint a red wood, should you prime before?

In my opinion it leans more blue than green. But it still is that beautiful coastal or duck egg blue. Really pretty.

Hello there!
Hi Christina, I would like to sign up for your furniture painting course. Is it presented through videos?
Where do you get that brand of paint. I would love to try it out.
How much of the quart paint was used? Can I just use a pint for this type of project?
This one was a stretch with a pint, but it worked. If you are going from a dark to light color you might need three coats.
Thank you
Hello. I’m trying to use your coupon code, but it’s not working :(
I just tried using it and it's working for me. CHRISTINA should be the code.
Would this paint work well on a bathroom vanity?
Yes. Furniture Flipping Teacher just did a bathroom makeover with it. Check out her channel!
Does this paint have a strong odor?
It is a low VOC paint with a minimal odor.
What is MCM?
Mid-Century Modern
I loved it before. 😕 There are so many other pieces that would have been better… thrift store pieces that will go in the trash. Really do not like.
