I believe that somewhere in the world, there are people who feel the same emotions that I feel when I listen to masterpieces like this song.

You are correct ❤
80s was the best time.
And 90"s
Undoubtedly!
hands down it was!
Não fazem mais música como antigamente 😢🇧🇷
FOREVER REIGNS... THE 80's
Was 18 when this came out...I come back in my 50's to fully appreciate all the great 80's songs that I dismissed back in the day...
This gives me a feeling that makes me want to cry. The 80's were my childhood. My grandpa was alive, my aunt was alive and so many friends were still here. Life was so much nicer. People were nicer. Everyone was married lol. If I could go back in time I would hug everyone a little longer. 😢
I feel the exact same way…wish my Mom was still here.
😭😭😭😭😭
Where do you live?
I know that feeling but music is the best time machine so far and you can anytime you want!
We are indeed feeling and emotional beings .
Thank you Mildred
RIP Bobby Cadwell. The writer of this power ballad, made famous by Peter Cetera and Amy Grant.
Wait...What?... Smh.... ❤💔❤️
Wow, I had no clue he wrote this! That's amazing ❤
Interesting... I did not know that!
when did he die.Condolebces to the bereave family infact i have his song on my channel i sang his song take ne i follow you.
yeah same here didn't know he wrote that song. So all the privilege was with him .
Im gonna get alot of heat for this. I select Peter Cetera over Michael Bolton ANY DAY!
Agreed. IMHO, Bolton was totally over rated. That said, How Am I Supposed to Live Without You is an amazing song. I can walk and chew gum at the same time.
Agree.. Peter is a Beast!
Bolton is a screamer...Cetera is a singer
I choose both of them cause I grew up listening to both of them as a young girl

E o compromisso
A verdadeira conduta é a personalidade
Pois eu me vejo uma profissional
Pois eu me vejo meu lado mulher
Pois eu vejo meu lado espiritual
Pois eu vejo o meu pai
Eu vejo meu Deus
Então Deus falou a Abraão
A oração
Honra e respeito Amor e fé lealdade fidelidade
Ambos honrava Deus acima de todas as coisas
Tanto os filhos de Abraão
Quantos pais as quais tinham os filhos

Best decade of music. No autotune, just authentic voices. Beats anything on the radio now.
We had every genre available to us and it was glorious!
Yup, I listen to TikTok's top hits sometimes, and not much can compare to the hits of the '80s. Even the covers, remixes and sampling of '80s hits, such as "Every Breath You Take." Not referring to og '80s songs that make it on TT's hit list.
Cetera's voice was so underrated.
Yup
Why is there at least one of these comments on every old video. Jesus.
Do they even make beautiful songs anymore? I don’t care if that sounds old.
What a pretty breathtaking woman ,hello my darling ?
No they don’t, everything now is plastic, inauthentic and ai enhanced… nothing like the old days…

One of the most iconic and beautiful duets from the 80's. Do you agree?
Absolutely!

I sure missed growing up in the 80s Life was so good back then I’m 52 now. Todays music can’t never match the classic songs 😊
You got that right!
I just turned 50 March 7th and you got that right
So true, as I miss those days as well.

Straight beautiful white people are shunned now. Nothing against anyone else, but let's face what we are really looking at culturally. The end of good entertainment was the mid 2000s. Now it's all woke, shoe horned agenda jammed down everyone throat. Hence, no more good music or movies
I met Amy in 1983 and she is beautiful, inside and out.
Que maravilha ❤
I agree, and so is her voice.
Very beautiful
I just turned 60 and this song reminds me of the good old days when everyone is still “normal”😊
Hi Alexander,hope you’re okay ?
so sorry to hear that i know what you mean i miss those days too☹️
Lol, I know right?

That depends on the definition of “normal,” though???
I think Peter's choice of having Amy do this duet with him was brilliant. Their voices blend together beautifully. I can listen to this over and over again.
Love this version. Peter Cetera has a voice that can match anybody. One of my favorite duets that he sings is with Crystal Bernard. Forever Tonight.
Amy Grant has always been one of my faves so when I heard this, it was an automatic fave!
She was suggested to him by Michael Omartian. Peter had never heard of her.
80s the more innocent Era, people actually got out of the house and enjoyed things and things were way more simpler and affordable. No social media people talked to each other more, the world needs more of the 80s back today
Amy Grant is just so incredibly, naturally beautiful.
She alright... lol
We don't look for old songs, we look for the memories they carry🤩😍

Nope, I don't.
Peter Cetera's voice is one of the most unique voices I have ever heard in my life, soon as as you hear it you know it's him. Tell me a musician similar or close. I know there's no one. I love Amy and this collaboration is one of the best. Get well soon Amy ❤
Steve Perry
I saw a Chicago concert about 5 years ago. They found a singer that had a voice like Peter's. He was good. I don't recall his name which is proof that no one can match Peter Cetera!
Jason Schiff, I love Cetera but Schiff was great too.
Are you high or what?
Lou Gramm
Peter and Amy are so good together. In 1976 I went to a Chicago concert in North Carolina. I had heard "If you leave me now" that afternoon on the radio. But when I heard Peter perform it, the piece entered my Top Ten all time, and has never left ...
Listening to this song is a bittersweet sensation, on the one hand remembering sublime moments of those years and on the other knowing that they are gone forever, but how beautiful were the 80's, right?
SO beautiful 🥹
So true
So so true
Ur so right about the 80s n This hit by Peter Cetra n Amy Grant. For along I didn't want to hear it because it reminded me of my girls at that time. Thought she was the one but she broke my heart
I never knew I liked the 80's but this song proved it to me. Really enjoyed the lighting & the movement in these visuals, created a beautiful space for the song.
Isn’t UA-cam awesome for music? I have found some long forgotten treasures like this tune. The 80’s and 90’s were glorious!!! Most of today’s music blows!

Peter Cetera was born to sing, nothing else.
He's struggling as he ages

My Mom was a huge fan of Peter Cetera and Amy Grant. She loved this song and later when I was on a vacation in Florida this song popped up. I listened to it and it brought back so much nostalgia! I love this song and I can’t wait to hear it again in several years to remember all of the incredible memories this life has given me! Be good people!

Bobby Caldwell was better but still a great song still ❤
Always wondered whether these songs were created by the writer's experience or derived by others
@AmyGrant-kv8ii Omg is this the Amy Grant who sang together with Peter Cetera. I really LOVE this song and it's on my fave playlist. 😍😍
@AmyGrant-kv8ii I am good thanks. Are you still singing now?
This is the man who brought us If you Leave me now - Glory of Love - Your the Inspiration - Hard to say Im sorry - Peter you are such a wonderful talent this is a song I will always sing and soar - thank you for sharing your talent ❤️ and congratulations on your stellar career ❤️
His Chicago days were where it started. I read somewhere he started there as a drummer or percussionist, and his vocal ability was only discovered later. Unbelievable with such a voice. But he's not just all about balads. Chicago's music was often jazzy/funky. I'd recommend a less well known, but personal favorite track by the band, namely "Woman don't want to love me" to experience the other side..
The 80's were a hard time for my family but we had a little radio and this music helped us through....my eldest brother had the most awesome voice ever.... He would sing and we would all join in just to pass the hard times.... It made us stronger as a family.... We loved the music from the 80's
I had a lot of abuse in the mid 80s and listing to the 80s pop music during that time helped me. I had a GPX walkman hidden under my mattress and would listen to it when the house was quiet or no one was home.
Thank you for sharing this ❤ the 80s were a very bittersweet time for me as well.
This is one of the best comments I've ever read. I can relate too! Thank you for posting this.
Beautiful memories 💕
You should see "1987" my UA-cam playlist. My first Christmas read sucked.
To have the talent & ability to write something this beautiful that has touched so many people so deeply for so many years is something that most of us can only dream of. RIP Bobby Caldwell.
It is incredible how today , a lot of the people in their 20’s and 30’s , myself included, become mesmerized when finding this music ( most of 80’s ballads) unexpectedly.. I’ve seen it myself, there’s a void of that type of romanticism in today’s age.
Amy Grant was so gorgeous and her voice is amazing. And Peter Cetera, no one to this day can sing like he could. The 80s!! What a time to be alive!
Just look at how everyone’s dressed and the lyrics. So very genuine and sincere and a very stark contrast from todays music. Wish we could bring these wholesome vibes back😢
Yes!! This was always one of my favorite duets...keep it on my Playlist.
There certainly is a genuineness. In some of the cuts the emotion was so intense. Where the man is slowly lowering the woman in front of him.
@AmyGrant-kv8ii No, THANK YOU for the many years of sharing your God-given talent with the world ❤️
@AmyGrant-kv8ii absolutely wow! Great to hear from you, I’ve been a big fan for a long time

Still listening and I never stopped. Being a long-time Christian, I have been very entertained by Amy Grant over the years. And Peter Cetera For all of my life. If you were to take away this iconic vocals, you could say the man was shocked to the brim with talent through both guitar and bass. Someone told me recently that is not worth falling in love and getting married, please never let such ideas get you, they are wrong because they missed the 80's, love is ALIVE in this music forever
There will never be another decade like the 80s. Best time of my life. I was in my teens to very early 20s. I lived a 1/4 mile away from Six Flags in Arlington Texas with a season pass every year. I raced dirt bikes, learned how to play guitar, wore the parachute pants with concert t-shirts and had the time of my life. I can remember when this song came out in 86. Having the 80s music to listen to was just the icing on the cake! The music after the 80s, it started rolling down hill fast and in a bad way. Seem like it all got stupid. I would give everything I own to go back and enjoy those times I had back then again. Good times 😉👍

It's really amazing how melodic are these two voices combined . A love song out of this earth which remind us how much talent the artists of that particular era had . It's impossible from this generation to write something like this . The music died in the early 00's . This is the first PETER CETERA's song I ever heard and that was so special because at the time I started listening to the wonderful 80s melodies on the radio and watching the fantastic 80s videos. The duet with AMY GRANT is just superb. We are so privileged for having enjoyed these timeless songs. Long live the best music of all time. Regards from Argentina 🫶😍💗
Just heard it on the radio today after manyyears ....Amy's syrupy smooth and ethereal voice blends well with Peter's incredible high tenor.....now married to Vince Gill, she's recovering from open heart surgery....
These days they do not produce songs like this. Love the 80s. Songs have meaning❤
Those were the days.If I could turn back time and live those priceless moments again.❤❤❤❤❤
This the song that makes you think deep about the one's you really want to spend the rest of your life with.
I was born on 1986 and I still love the songs from 80's and 90's, so nice to hear and very meaningful
Hi Rebecca,hope you’re okay ?😊
I was born 66 and the 80s were my years ..you are still pretty young
That kind of music that gives you goosebumps, but in a good way. A very good way.
Evocative and poetic/
One of the songs you can't help but sing along with.. lots of Peter Cetera's songs are like that
A song never to be forgotten. From a male 82 years young
A wise man once said...when you are happy, you enjoy the Melody but when you are broken, you understand the Lyrics...amazing song. Blessed to have grown up in this era of real music.
Very true 💖
Absolutely true,, different circumstances makes us understand the same thing in different ways..
One of the most gorgeous duets! Sad that songs like these are no longer made.
I am a big Chicago fan, Peter and that very noteable voice just hits it out of the park with anyone he teams with, Amy Grant was a good choice for this Duet!
Totally agree - his voice is so unique and there's a great balance in this song.
This song brings back such great memories. I remember recording this song on my radio so I could write the words down and memorize them 😀 Such a great song! Written by the great Bobby Caldwell...rest in love Sir
