My favorite comedian ever. Whenever I need a laugh, I watch him. I’ve heard his jokes a hundred times and I still always laugh.
I bought a forty thousand dollar freezer at Sears one time. Well it was only $289 but after the minimum payments on that Sears card for the next 37 years I figure it was close to the 40K.

We used to go to the Comedy Zone in Charleston, back in the early 90s, and they'd have the Simpson's on the TV before the first comedy act. I remember seeing him and 'just 'bout peed my pants'!! Would love to Mr. Gregory again!
I live in Idaho now. In the 90's I worked at The Comedy House in Columbia S.C. James would headline once a month. Such a funny guy on and off stage. We would sit around hours after the show and he would tell stories and jokes. None of staff wanted to go home.
and he would be at the costal Carolina fair every year

My son says that I am responsible for his laziness and I tell him he needs to be responsible for something in the house. He says I babied him and my reply back was I asked you to do certain things and you refuse to do it. My reply was I am not babying you you just refuse to do it and these are things that has to be done so you left adopt me to do. I was not babying you you refuse to do it and somebody had to do it and it was me.. this is the way the generation is
