I had a cousin I never knew until I was finishing college who may have known this man. I recall how I felt when I heard Bryan play an old ShoBud in Tennessee. He was Bryan Adams.
Hello again Bob Tuttle, just dropped in for another CW FIX on PSG. I really like the little extra you put in, it's kinda like the PSG I grew up on. I'm hoping that very soon, I'll be playing for you....
I am a big fan of the steel and have trouble finding cds of steel music. If you have cds for sale please post where I may purchase them. Your playing is a pleasure to listen to and relax. Thank you
Mr BreakRAK The tone bar is one of the power coated bars offered by Michael Hillman on the Steel Guitar Forum. I have a red one and a black one. They are excellent.
I have several 2 made of Brass & 3 of 316 Stainless steel all are tapered Bars & machined round nose polished to Brite finished with a dimpled end approximately 3" long made on a lathe.
The following is just my opinion. I could be wrong. Pro's: Great bar movement. Great picking. Great intonation. Great harmony. Great smoothness. Great touch and tone. Great timbre. Etc. Con's: Too much use of the B pedal "wiggle" lick; at the ending of a phrase (Ex: timestamps .20 and .34 on the video). Buddy Emmons introduced this "lick" a long time ago; with Ernest Tubb's "Half a mind" recording. BE did this because it was the first recording using the "split" pedals (making two pedals (A & B); instead of one pedal like Bud Isaacs created. Click below on the link (of the recording) and listen carefully; at timestamps .06, 1.28 and 1.46. That was the first time this lick had ever been played. And it was awesome. Most of us steel players could not figure out how BE did it. But later we learned about the A & B pedals and what they could do. Sadly, we used it too much IMHO. ua-cam.com/video/pdMjzhVygZ8/v-deo.html As far as I can recall, Buddy never used that lick again. Yet many PSG players use it to death. Really! I mean NO disrespect atoll, towards Bob Tuttle. Just saying the truth in my opinion. If you will listen for it; you will see how many times it is used (except for the "Greats") by PSG players all over the world. For whatever it's worth.
I'm surprised you don't have more Fallout fans visit. Maybe try a cover of Big Iron and add a tag for Fallout New Vegas. See if you can generate more views.

Ray Price would be happy to have you!
I think even Guy Mitchell would too, if he was sill around.
Didn't you mentor Corky Owens? I met him over at Gary Carpenters shop a couple years ago in Ft. Worth
Rick Thibodeaux Yes Rick. I started Corky out on steel anbd gave him lessons when he as about ten years old.
And so then l have you to thank. Corky is my teacher now!
