    As a lifelong Milwaukee resident and Brewer Fan, I have always been a huge fan of Jim Rice. I've never heard this story before but it really doesn't shock me. That man has always been a hero to millions of people

    Jim Rice is one of my favorite Boston players of all time. I have his authentic jersey, and if he was able to go against the reds, we would have beat the reds he hit 40+ home runs, and his home runs batted over 300, but he broke his wrist. Great job Jim on saving this kids life.

    Always a class act,a hero,aGreat true Man....Mr. Rice was 1 of my Favorite,a sport hero for sure,Great announcer too...he was part of the GOLD DUST TWINNS...Fred Lynn & Jim Rice...with Dewey Evans & Carl Yastremski,I think Carlton Fisk was there too...GREAT TIMES..Thank you Mr. RICE.

    Rice was special . And he was strong. Real strong. He had wrists of steel. The only sad part was he didn't want to wear glasses toward the end of his career. His eyesight was going.
