- Not the Nine O'Clock News was een Britse komische televisieserie,

I'd forgotten how beautiful & talented Pamela Stephenson was. Billy Connolly is a very lucky man.
I could not have put it better myself
Atkinson at the age of 27, nice find!
The last sketch made me howl then and still does! It resonated because Cozy Powell's drumming solo hits of the mid-'70s really did sound like locomotives.😀
This, brings back so many happy memories
Old is gold as always.
Rowan!!! Thanks so much for whoever posted this, so classic💜
Man so much future Mr. Bean here. I love it.
That ‘MOD Monarch’ song is as good as any ‘legitimate’ top ten song.. what a hit!
Et ta frere.
" Forgive ya, ye thievin swine! " LOL!
Nothing to beat this today
I can't believe this was 44 years ago. Seems like yesterday.
Post Monty Python, one of the best sketch shows of all time.
Pre I think ....
@@chrisbraid2907 Nope! Monty Python was late 1960's early 1970's. NTNOCN was in the 1980's.
@@Alun49 No it wasn't.
@@seivaDsugnA Not The Nine O'Clock News, was 1979 - 1982, while Monthy Python started their their craziness all the way back in 1969, and went up till end of 80's and then some.
@@Hammern28 This isn't an argument. It's just contradiction.
The Dutch subtitles make this even funnier for some reason.
Comedians must have wept bitterly when Maggie was pushed out of number 10 😭, she was a gold mine 😄 !
Brilliant pastiche of Angela Rippon's very mannered pronounciation of African names.
Would be deemed racist as hell now, not passing the Ofcom. No-one's offended here, she's the funniest woman i've seen.
He's been there this long? Wow. 💓
The bit about pre menstrual stress is up to date.
Indeed!

Yes, and it needs to be taken very seriously.
Rowen is *the* master psychical comedian.
Rowan or Lee Evans?
@@kyleB061 Rowen
Obviously.
Those were the days👉🇬🇧👉💎👉❤️
Masters of surreal humour, many of them gone 😢 ...
South Park used the abortion joke from this hahah.
It just dawned on me how much the Fast show was influenced by NTNON.
Both great shows!
Suits you Sir!
Mr Bean on drums at 10:30 and 13:45!
столько талантов у Роуэна!!
Love the subtitles 👉🇬🇧👉🤤
It should have been 201 months
Gal Kavčič Correct!
What's that song at the end? I like it
04:00 Arsenal vs Watford
1980, this, not 1982. Note the copyright at the end of the sequence.
Thx for you're remark. This episode I'm showing on the Televisie Rewind channel,
has been broadcast in Holland on October the 31th 1982.
Has nothing tot do with copyright being from 1980....
@@televisierewind5404 Indeed, but if you scroll to the end of the clip you'll see a copyright note dated MCMLXXX -- Latin numbers for 1980 -- which is the original BBC broadcast. Hence the Angela Rippon spoof on her coverage of Zimbabwe independence.
@@dblissmn Yeah, I know all that. But I'm merely stating the fact that it was broadcast in 1982 on dutch television for the first time, hence the year 1982 written next to the clip headline....😎.
Why not Pamela Stephenson - Not the nine o clock news?
Si apparently you never watched Alas Smith and Jones

RIP Mel Smith but Gryff hasn't been funny in years
Griff Rhys Jones is the least talented. Pamela, Rowan and Mel the most.
Apart from being pretty (if that counts as a talent), Pamela seems to have hardly any talent at all. Personally, I always found Rhys Jones to be at least as funny as Mel, if not more.
@@DieFlabbergast Come on, she's a good actress. They all were! Though I personally tire of Rowan very quickly. He's the one overrated and overexposed, I feel.
They were a good team and if they were making such shows today many would be entertained and delighted.
He's dull and boring in real life, which does come through. His characters are painstakingly defined as opposed to being a natural comic.
One shouldn’t single any one out.. together they were a ground breaking creative force.. but if I had too I found Mel to be a naturally funny, down-to-earth and intellectual bloke who was master at keeping a straight face... his voice wasn’t bad either - could even imho have given meatLoaf a run for his money 🛵🤴🏾
