Thank you so much for this amazing fire effect 🙏🏼.... For me I can think of many things where this effects can be used.... You are amazing thanks again ❤️❤️❤️
Pleasee keep making stuff like this! I work everyday on making stuff that looks like it could be in a game. And your tutorials help a TON! Could you do a tutorial on magic effects later? You're amazing at what you do man ^^ (one more thing, i would love to see a video of showing how to rig a character with cloth that has actual cloth physics. Im wanting my alien character to have a huge sleeve that goes down, but without having any kinda physics it just kinda looks strange..)
Excellent tutorial ! One suggestion when you want to increment a value through time : instead of setting a keyframe on the value and manually managing a graph curve, you can just write #frame instead of the value. This will create a driver that basically pick up the current frame number, effectively turning your value into an infinite increment. If it's going too fast or to slow, simply click the value again, and multiply the "frame" by any number (a decimal between 0 and 1 to slow down, >1 to speed up, and use negative values to inverse the flow). I.E. if you want the frale it at 20% speed, you'd write "frame*0.2" (without the quote marks). And THEN, if you want further tweaking, you can right-click the value and hit Open the Driver Editor to edit the curve.
Yes, I know this trick and use it pretty oftenly but it can generate bugs, especialy when you are mixing different value in the vector or evolution input of texture. I don't why, but it's seems there is some kinf of easing on the driver when using th #frame option. What I mean by that is that I don't get a linear interpolation
That's a great rig. I thought you would use a driver to offset the motion, I wasn't expecting you to bake the animation and offset it in the curves editor. I guess that is the easier way.
yeah same, i paused the video when he said we bake that stuff cause u can easily do that with drivers or animation node. What an amazing way it was untill he introduced a destructive workflow.
what should I do if I attach weapon to character hand? I didn't animate a weapon object but character with copying location and rotation of hand armature to weapon object.
Sir this is so sick and awesome ! You are the only one showing this nice and correct. i append this style to create a wing flap, i struggle littlebit with the animation but this looks so epic. i also copied your color ramp, this fire looks so real to me ! cant say enough " THANK YOU" we love France p.s.: i finaly learn how to make texture paint Map ^^ EPIC
i try to do something like that. ua-cam.com/video/dbzxU7qr5s4/v-deo.html - look at the end of the wings, the trails making a loop in the cruve when goes up and down - i ask myself if this would be better with particles or a plane mesh...hm - can you give a ttip how i can make this almost same effect ?
Il n'y a pas un moyen de créer du délai sur l'option "keep transform" sur les os de l'effet? ça pourrait permettre de ne pas bake et de jouer indéfiniment avec. Merci beaucoup pour ces tutos!
"Preserve Volume" In the Armature Modifier gets ignored on export. So when I want to use the animation in an engine it still has that strange spiderweb-like distortion when the blade rotates backwards. Any idea how to get around this issue?
HI Pierrick! I have trouble with your rigging course ! I didn't foun support course chanel and write here. In 02-03 Assign Armature tutorial SYMMETRISE is not work on DEF layer. Only fof TGT layer , but the direction of the axes is rotated 180 degrees in the opposite direction. Blender 2.9.1. Where I can to get a help?
It's generaly a problme of naming. If you don't set .L or .R at the end of your bone name it won't work. Also make sure you don't have input a "space" character at the end of the name. You can go to the armature boject menu in the header, and in the Pose, name, autoname Left/right to fix your rig. amazing tutorial, one question, May I know is that possible link and offset the animation data, or link and offset keyframe for the bones position? if yes, we do not need to bake it and It always have trail when we are keying animation
I've been looking for a good effect like this for a while now, honestly this tutorial came in clutch

That's a very good tutorial. The practice is a bit hard but it's absolutely amazing!

ooho found another awesome blender youtuber
Such an amazing video. Very interesting way of making such an effect, thank you very much
cool
This is what I need, I've been looking for it for a long time, thanks bro!!!

super, merci
Is nobody going to talk about how the thumbnail says blendfer?
Ye lol
Hard to understand the heavy accent, but I still followed it well. This is a really good tutorial!
awesome tutorial, mister! but how do we export this kind of animation into unity? i didn't found any answers on your channel(
9:30 I cant select plane nor sword trail, its not there on graph editor
awesome. Make more vfx like this
This is the first time I have drawn a loop map in Blender. Thank you for sharing.
I was just looking for a tutorial on sword texturing, and I came across the exact tutorial I needed. Thank you
where did you put the entire node setup screenshot? Great tutorial btw, thankyou

verry cool, i love it :-). thank you
whoa, amazing combination of super smart techniques! Thanks a lot! 🙌🙌
This is a really great tutorial, but when I go to bake, Blender tells me "Nothing to Bake" Could you please help me with this?
Hey how would you go about importing this type of thing into a game? Seems really complicated with the whole rig thing.
"Preserve Volume" In the Armature Modifier gets ignored on export. So when I want to use the animation in an engine it still has that strange spiderweb-like distortion when the blade rotates backwards. Any idea how to get around this issue?
amazing tutorial!!!!. is there anyway you could show us how you made the clean sword animation?
Спасибо!
All it's cool, but a question: is it possible to do this with a 3D object? I tried with a cylinder but the bones do not work correctly
Just i really need this in 3d and if you know how to make that, help me please
I have learned to ascend across realities with this tutorial tysm!
Absolutely brilliant tutorial. Thank you Pierrick!
Great video! by the way, you can put #frame into a value node to get the frame.
Thank you so much. I've been a while for sword trail and any weapon trail effect, this tutorial answer my questions. And practical!
can you please make material nodes crash course ,there is no any series on material nodes even if they are so complicated for all begineers
I've added it to my tutorial list. But it should be a course or tutorial serie so .... it will take time ^_^'
Very helpful for engine's like Godot.
Godot gang!
thank you for all your tutorials! I love your tutorials the most
Please let me know how to export this material animation effect model?Which file type I should use for unity ?
this is really helpful thank you! i do have a question though how would you go about making a water effect trail?
i watched the whole thing just for that accent 😍
Thank God. We've needed this!
just wonderful
Thanks for the video! Quick question: does this work in Cycles?
Sure!
Can we have this file project and the materials?
