    You can now tell EVE to do multiple autonomous tasks back-to-back. Watch a team of EVEs work together to clean up our office.
    In this video, you see the start of 1X's development of an advanced AI system that chains simple tasks into complex actions using voice commands, allowing seamless multi-robot control and remote operation.
    By starting with single-task models, we ensure smooth transitions to more powerful unified models, ultimately aiming to automate high-level actions using AI.
    This video does not contain teleoperation, computer graphics, cuts, video speedups, or scripted trajectory playback. It's all controlled via neural networks.

    Failed to clean the coffee stain. IMO they need some creative understanding of what the room should look like if it is in optimal state. Like ask a person to get a room ready for a conference. Depending on the person that room will look different in a variety of ways. Should it have bottled water at the tables? Should it have plates and tablecloths? It will be interesting to see how robots learn judgment calls like this.

    Been watching you for a year and whilst I just wanted this company around for the prototypes and to understand a different perspective or skillsets in building humanoid robots, I wonder with the progress that has been made over the last year if the company will falter or actually be able pull through with half of its deliverables and objectives propose. If this company ends up being acquired or merged with another competitor or it becomes a relative success and still able to stand on its own two feet for years down the road that's a win in my book. (better than a demonstrative ponzi scheme)

    Is this fully autonomous with no specific instructions beyond the voice command? I felt like the one in the boardroom waited for the person to ask for the cup to be picked up which, to me, likely means that it was programmed to go in there and wait for that moment.

  • @ClassyCheapskate
    @ClassyCheapskate 15 днів тому

    Eve 757 picks up the cup as asked, stands there, then is told to take it to the kitchen or else he/she would be standing there for eternity until the batteries died . . . Is it worth it for the amount of space they take up and for how slow they are? Couldn't we just take 5 minutes to clean up and get exercise? It wasn't that messy. 5 robots cost $85,000 to do a 5 minute task . . . I used to clean a whole house for 5 cents when I was 7 years old . . .

    Sure the actions in this video of these things seems primitive, but remember, this is only the earliest stages. When these things have access to supercomputers to train them, expect to be amazed. The end to end neural network technology is working and is the primary building block to making general purpose robots real. The only hold up is computational power. Just wait till things like Tesla's Dojo supercomputer is fully online and training Optimus and companies like 1X have a massive boost in compute. Remember how drones and quadcopters weren't too impressive in the mid to late 2000's (mostly craft hastily put together by hobbyist that could barely fly), but they now resemble props from a science fiction film? Expect general purpose robots to follow pretty much the same trajectory. Probably in 2 years time, you will have something that's pretty much like the droids seen on Star Wars and just as capable.

      @b.robinson206 24 дні тому

      The $300 million deal with openAI was just made this year, if I'm not mistaken. They have a ways to go before everything is in place to make this a new industry. Building a new supercomputer utilizing end-to-end neural networks to train these things is on the menu.

      Figure is just another hype company. The founder has a history of riding hype waves and selling the company at the peak. Then the company fades into obscurity and never delivers. Useful general purpose humanoids that you can trust to do a job are still 2-5 decades away. Tesla is also mostly built on hype about the future.
