Amelia Island green frame kickstart oil seal removal

The Amelia Island 1974 Ducati 750SS green frame is leaking oil from the kickstart seal. Everyone has told us that we have to split the crankcases to replace the seal, but this machine has only 5,000 miles from new and the lead seal on the motor is still in tact, so splitting the cases is not an option. We have to find a way round this, as that lead seal adds a lot of value to the motorcycle.
