My buddy was actually a cannabis grower and he found out that you could use the same process from extracting the oil from the cannabis to extract catnip and use the oil to treat wood making it resistant to things like termites. It worked as a stain for the wood. He made a ton of money selling it to DuPont at the time.

Hi Dan,great video! I have termites in my house. Do I need to use bait to kill the colony first before building the barrier or I can do both of them at the same time?
How long would the product last on the pillars? Excuse my ignorance on the subject, I know it lasts years in soil, however seeing that the fipronil is exposed on the pillars, would it last as long?
Just started seeing a few winged termites in my house and had an inspector and he found old mud tubes in my crawl space. I went down there and I knocked them down but I didn’t see termites and no moisture just a lot of droppings so I ordered some taurus sc to treat them. I was quoted 2000 to trench around my crawl space and to drill around the slab foundation. Half my house is slab and the other half is raised with a crawl space, my question is will only treating the crawl space myself be enough since i dont see any live termites or is there a product i can use on the walls around the slab foundation?
Buy the biggest insect zapper killer you can find in your country, buy 3 or more for added killings. If you can buy waterproof ones and use waterproof extension cord plug. Keep it outside your house for few hours everyday or during termite swarmers season. Be on the standby the moment it becomes dark outside, be patient they will come after few minutes, you will see their presence if there is or are colonies nearby. For added effect you can spray the area before you will place the zappers with Taurus SC termiticide. It works guys as long as the zapper has very strong voltages, those swarmers at that time will be dead like all of them, bcoz of the light they will be tempted to go to the burning zone of the zapper. What a revenge.
the directions on the Taurus bottle recommends 4 gallons for 10 linear feet in a 6" deep trench around the outside of the foundation. Why do you use 2 gallons on the surface for 10 feet?
You said 2 gallons solution for 10 feet but instruction said 4 gallons and also I see other pest control guys before applying Taurus SC they dig 6 inches wide and 6 inches deep trench , I don't know if you show this wrong or I learn it before wrong?
I did the outside of my house with Taurus SC digging a trench and applying it 10 liner feet at a time. AM I OK LIKE YOU FOR DOING THE CRAWL SPACE OF MY HOUSE ALONG THE WALLS AND FOUNDATION SUPPORTS? MY HOUSE RESTS ON SAND. My crawl space gets plenty of air.
Dan, thank you for all the VERY information videos!! (I will be making some monitoring stations based on your instructions.) How far apart are termite colonies? My neighbor paid dearly a professional for a Taurus SC termite treatment around his house and garage. The pest control company did not trench, but injected about 100 gallons of solution several places around the perimeter. Their house is about 200' from our detached garage and house. I have seen a couple of surface tubes by the adjoining wall, which appear old and broken down, but do not see any indication of tubes or evidence reaching into our buildings. Would the treatment he had be enough to eradicate the colony that I see tubes for on my property?
Thanks for watching! 200 feet is probably too far for one colony to forage but you will get some coverage from your neighbor's treatment. I would still recommend doing some preventative measures if you are seeing tunnels around your home. :)
I don't see you wearing any chemical respirator equipment when you are treating an area. Do not believe that you will not be inhaling this poison. Protect your life.
i have swarming termites in my house i woke up after a heavy rain day and they where there now i see dead ones on my window because i had sprayed a barrier around my house before now i see the wood droppings in a few areas do i drill holes in the wall and spray or use foam and how much please help
Thanks and I’m amazed that you are fascinated with termites 😂. Do you think Bifen XTS will work as well? I didn’t see termites but a lot of carpenter ants on tree next to house. After watching need to go back and check as I couldn’t understand if there were leftovers of cement on blocks
If it was a very heavy rain... Unfortunately. If it was a 10-15 minute rain , you should be fine. I believe the product says that by 5 days it should be rain ready
I have small retaining wall made up of 6x6s and found termite damage. They’re just going to town, I’m going to treat the perimeter of the house, is it ok to pour it by the 6x6s?
Yes they can! and between the bricks and block. No we usually dont drill because the Taurus chemical transfers to the whole colony as long as some of them come in contact with it
So question, I applied Taurus sc outside of my storage shed …. Do I just let Taurus sc do it’s thing … or do I go in and try to kill all the termites inside as well…. Thanks in advance love the videos
It’s been raining a lot in the Houston area and just discover termites flying around at night with the light. I walk inside and started to see them crawling around the ceiling in most of the house. Never noticed them before. How long do you think they been in my walls? Thanks
Those bait stations in Home Depot also attract ants. So you'll get a lot of false positives. What you need to do is put baits that attract termits, which is very soft wood. Then, when your wood gets eaten, you know there's termites. Then is when you use a product called treloma

You didn't mention what your coworker was using outside, and how far away from the house he was treating. Was they using liquid or granular ?
He's most likely doing a barrier treatment around the foundation outside the house using the same chemical
I Used Taurus SC For Termites And Termidor Both Great Product’s👍
Hi why would not use a international bait box I’m learning termite control I’m a English man living in Cambodia
Great vids! I just poured a perimeter of Taurus SC around my block house but then it started raining. Do I have to re treat my house?
If it was a very heavy rain... Unfortunately. If it was a 10-15 minute rain , you should be fine. I believe the product says that by 5 days it should be rain ready
I have small retaining wall made up of 6x6s and found termite damage. They’re just going to town, I’m going to treat the perimeter of the house, is it ok to pour it by the 6x6s?
The termites can also come up inside the blocks. Do you also drill and inject the chemicals into the blocks?
Yes they can! and between the bricks and block. No we usually dont drill because the Taurus chemical transfers to the whole colony as long as some of them come in contact with it
Why not use a scraping tool to fully knock down the tunnels? It’d be easier and more effective. Just a thought.
Great job. 👍🏻
You want the termites to deliver the Taurus to the rest of the colony as soon as possible. Destroying the tunnel would slow the delivery process.
Better to leave the tunnels alone when treating, and remove them weeks after.
So question, I applied Taurus sc outside of my storage shed …. Do I just let Taurus sc do it’s thing … or do I go in and try to kill all the termites inside as well…. Thanks in advance love the videos
