This may be the greatest Football shirt hunting episode that I’ll EVER do. This episode saw us hunting for rare football shirts and football kits in the country of Hungary! This series sees us going to 2nd hand stores, thrift stores, flea markets, car boots and many other places to try and find the rarest or most obscure football shirts in the world. ENJOY!

Thanks to stop by to our warehouse again, Ellis. I didn't know it was your birthday, but it's even better to give you the Ferencvaros shirt as a birthday gift.
In Hungary it is FORBIDDEN (which is absurd) for almost all of the players to give away match worn shirts, because the club owns them and they will either sell them on their website or auction them on charity auctions. Anyway, it's almost impossible to get them unless the season is over or you have a best friend in any club.
If you would contact the Ferencvaros PR staff before the trip, they would help you, I'm 100% positive. Maybe you could've film on the stadium before the match or another day. They always treat the media very well. I have no information about the Ujpest PR staff.
I recommend to talk to the teams directly before the trip next time.

I wouldn't say I respect it... I'd say be more careful in future! Don't get into strange people's cars in a foreign country!
Gonna try to avoid any spoilers, but I remember I picked up the short sleeve of the shirt in the thumbnail for $2 about 7 years ago in a Canada thrift and it has been a prized possession since. To the person who left that and a 96-97 Manchester United Away ($3), thank you for letting me grow my passion for collecting shirts.

I don’t know if you do this already, but maybe when you message the footballer you could explain that the shirt your hoping to get is for charity and your a youtuber who could get their club and themselves some free promo out of it.
Honestly I'd buy that Parma shirt too, even with the hole.
It's extremely rare and it's iconic. Loved Parma at the time, had a great team and the Zola-Asprila duo that I loved.
Easy fix for someone that knows how that's not me buy my Mother could fix it no problem at all.
My Mother has a O Level in Sewing so she is capable of repring it to a high level of quality would not be the first time she has did so to a football shirt.

Pretty sure that the Ballack print is the Chelsea Champions League print from that era? If you look at the Liverpool - Chelsea game from 2008 I think you’ll see it? Great video as always Ellis!

Loving this series Ellis, maybe one day you could do Football Shirt Hunting in Australia? The Melbourne derby is defo a good game.
Also the print on that Ballack shirt is the same as that World Cup 2006 print, but I’m pretty sure all Adidas teams used that font when they weren’t playing in their respective leagues.

@@Pineappld_ they do ship internationally. Think it worked out at around £11 to deliver to the UK.
They arrived within 10 days which I thought was pretty good considering the delays with international shipping because of Covid

The 98 home is my favourite United shirt and was lucky enough to pick it up for £4.50 in mint condition at a charity shop a few months ago. Only shame is its XL and im a Medium/Large

If you want some really cheap football shirt, you can go to Indonesia, massive love for the game and also you can get it for cheap (pounds literally annihilate our currency), just make sure to get a travel man with you so you don't get swindled, lots of second hand shop (there's a huge market for it), match atmosphere you can either go to jakarta, bandung or even bali, they are massive clubs with a huge support
The Ballack printing was the chelsea font they used in Europe. Also in regards to the match worn shirt hunt you're on. Have you tried meeting and greeting the players on their arrival to the stadium. Like the autograph hunters do. Meet the player who's shirt you want. Explain what it's for and I'm sure you'll get one. The chances of it being handed to you whilst in the crowd are pretty slim I'd imagine

Ellis you HAVE to go for an away days in Cyprus. Not only is it an amazing country they are also football mad. The Apoel vs Omonia derby is one of the best atmospheres in the world. Theres also a lot fo shops which sell football shirts.

You're right in that the Ballack nameset is the font from the Germany 05-07 away shirt....
...but it's also the nameset for the Chelsea 05-07 Champions League shirt too!

The Chelsea 2006-2008 Ballack shirt has the Adidas 2006 world cup font, that adidas affiliated clubs used for the next season in Europe.

I’ve only got one football shirt. And that’s kinda not even a football shirt. The limited edition Peter Saville England shirt. Has the multi coloured crosses all over it. A thing of beauty and a very nice fit.
England u21's in 97, Upson didnt seem to be in the squad but in 99 looks like Danny Mills wore number 2. Upson might have worn 6 maybe.

Could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that red italy shirt is a training top. I spent a lot of the summer before that 2006 World Cup in italy and that shirt in different colours was everywhere
