That's the thing I love about skate culture, it has its ups and downs but it's always there in some form or another be that be irl, through gaming, fingerboarding or social media. Skate is love, Skate is life.
Skater XL is hard for me to think about. Because on one hand I had quite a bit of fun with the game, but as a product it is absolutely the most disappointing video game I've ever purchased. I bought the game because I believed in Easy Day and clearly my faith was misplaced. They are either too incompetent or apathetic to make it into a full game of which I don't know is the case but I felt almost scammed by Skater XL. I hadn't thought about the game in ages but Session became a Playstation Plus game and the week I've had with Session pretty much sealed Skater XL's fate - it is dead to me. Session is a REAL GAME. Like, as a product you are purchasing an actual video game and not a cool tech demo of skateboarding physics. Creature has come such a long way. I remember seeing Session when it first came out and feeling comfortable that I had made the right decision with Skater XL. Session looked pretty rough and not too fun for a good portion of it's development. But now, I paid for the year 1 DLC for Session JUST BECAUSE I want to support a developer that cares about their game and wants to improve it. Just imagine if Session allowed user created content the way SXL does. There would never be a need to go back to SXL. But I guess the fact that Creature Studios is actually making content themselves negates the need for user created content.
Skater xl community keeps the game way more alive compared to session though . And you can be way more creative in skater xl. You can literally do grab tricks and foot plants . Session doesn’t even have that 😂

Love the content keep it up! Do you have any tips for 50-50's on kink rails? Everytime I try to 50-50 it never locks in and it turns into a nosegrind/5-0 as I grind through the sections of the rail. It annoys me so much.
The slower you hit the rail, the easier it is to keep the board level on the kinks, on top of this, just keep that nose pointed down. For the most part tho, the physics just doesn't like kinks that much, sadly.
What's your advice on doing 180 varial trick like varial kick flip inward heelflip hard flip and varial heelflip I have trouble doing them on console it always does 360
Session replied to a tweet saying that there will be updates this year that don't revolve around maps n what not so I think we can expect a gameplay update for Session this year
I love fingerboarding too at the moment because of my job barely skating and I got this nice pole jam flat bar rn and I just learned Nollie Tre and Nollie flip to 50-50 on it!! It’s too much fun💯🔥💯

For console session is just better, but its also slowly following the trend of skaterxl. At this point just waiting for skate 4 as at least it'll get updates
@@zero_nochi6881 I understand. Action sports titles these days don't get game play updates and when they have it has never been anything remarkable. Granted you surely can wish for something to set a precedent, but as long as I have been gaming we'd see another session or XL before they actual refine the animations and physics and make transitions work better etc The upcoming skate game from EA might be the first... but I doubt it.
@@kevincollins8620 exactly that, both have really bad flaws and i dont see them being fixed before skate 4. I think that game will nearly enough kill these on consoles, pc will be fine cause of them amazing modding communities doing more work than the studios

I know it's in alpha and such no one has to remind me...I just don't love how it looks at this point though. It's like skate 3.5 once I see the level layout and how massive it possibly is or isnt. Then I'll get past the last Gen visuals. Again XL is lacking and session again for what it does is okay... I do love how gritty session is. And the replay editor look, and setting up boards. Session does some core skateboarding feels right. Like shredders.
as realistic as session's controls are I just hate them, turning with the triggers is something I can literally not properly do, been playing skate 3 since 2010 and the skate 3 controls are embed deep in my brain, so personally I just still play skate 3 until skate. releases

Flick more vertically. If you flick up more instead of to the side it helps the board rotate slower!
