Looking forward to the next video to see the electrical installation and see how the differentials feel. I think the ratio for gasoline is different than for diesel because of the engine revolutions. But here we are all learning. Thank you very much for sharing your experiences that enriches us all. Keep updating.
The electrical is very easy, only a few wires to hook up. I am also curious about how it feels on the road with the 4.6 gears. The pajeros with this engine had 4.875 gears so I think it will be alright! Thanks for watching!
Drove an 88 montero when I was 18 and thr 4 cylinder blew up. Sold it to a buddys dad and just bought it back 10 years later. He has since swapped it to a japanese 2.5L cyclone diesel imported. Gonna be a life long vehicle now
Nice! Yeah it has been pretty rough getting things shipped to me, I am still waiting on a couple of parts before it is ready to run. Next video will show what wiring you need to get it running!
I thought you just liked monteros, but now i see a 3000gt and a 1g dsm. I think that makes us bros😂 My driveway has a 2g, evo, and 2 montero sports. For my f body submission i have a 75 formula 350
here’s a gen1 raider with the head off in my garage, the head was resurfaced & rebuilt and is sitting in a cabinet. i’ve been meanin to throw it together but damn it would be way cooler to have a diesel
Hey man I just bought my old childhood 88 Montero and the man I bought it back from had out this engine in. Any info you could give me or I could share mine with you if you were interested!
