Think about it. The setup before filming this is extensive. They have to dry him and everything off, prep the water, and he has to mentally be there to sing, feel the emotion, and hold his breath while waiting for the cue, while being completely still since the film is sped up, and then he has to maintain that when the water escapes to bookend the song and video. Music video shoots don’t just take two hours either. No wonder his eye is twitching. I’d be incredibly stressed out too, but the payoff sure was amazing when they finally capture the lightning in a bottle. Gotta love creating art.

That was an intense time for everyone in the band when you’re being interviewed 6 hours a day being asked “how does it feel to be the saviors of rock n roll?” That said I know the band wanted to include like the fun moments of that tour, especially go cart racing apparently but the director didn’t think it meshed with the overall theme. One of my favorite band docs of all time for sure
