I train for speed just to swing a 2 iron. When you flush one, you feel like you hit that bottom of the ninth, down by 3, bases loaded, full count grand slam to win the baseball game.
Still waiting for my custom fit p790s to come in, but in the meantime I am going to pick up one of these to fill in my set since I decided to go 5-PW. Thinking the P-DHY would be ideal to fill in
A friend of mine ordered the 2 iron version of the DHY with the Ventus TR Blue, I took a few swings with it yesterday when we were playing 9 after work and it was a really fun club to hit. Had a low climbing flight, easy to control and easy to get off the deck.
I really like the options available today, across the different club makers. Some folks do not hit hybrids well, others may not hit the driving iron well, some may prefer woods instead. I remember the old days. I learned to play in the 70s. Wood was used in your woods and they were pretty small objects. Blades were almost the rule, but there were some muscle back irons available. A Poor strike resulted in wretched results. Graphite shafts were still far away. Today? Spin the wheel and pick what fits you and meets your criteria. It is out there.
Gamed the previous Srixon ZX utility in a 4 iron(set replacement). Loved the look of it as it was the sleekest version they made but the performance wasn't quite there and also had to strengthen it a degee to match gapping which increased offset. Switched to the newest version after some testing and bought it in a 3 iron....weakened it to 2 degrees to 22 degrees which removed some offset and it's an absolute weapon. Yeah...my 4 iron says 3 iron on the bottom but it looks the way I want it to at address this way and perfectly fills the gap between my 5 wood and 5 iron.
Bad lies?? The need to hit down on the ball. In the rough you can still dig it out 3 wood you would struggle...you can shape it a bit more for fades and draws.....it ticks alot of boxes
Love this club with jumbo grip it really sings. 200 plus meter drives and down the middle.

My stealth DHY is like a magic stick. It’s a phenomenal club!

James, being from Yorkshire never pronounces an aitch... until it comes to saying the letter 'haitch' 😆
Which is wrong too! it's supposed to be pronounced 'aitch'.
No disrespect to Chris, but after all the many videos of yours he has appeared in, I think “special guest” might be overdoing it 😂
I think he is referring to a specific king of special
I think Chris is the best! Like him more than James tbh
😂
I use the Wilson staff utility iron, love it.
I’ve got 4 friends that swear by those Wilson Staff utility irons. They do feel awesome and I usually hate long irons.
@@stop736 I’ve got the 18 degree in the kbs graphite shaft. Thinking of getting the 21 and 24 degree too.
I've got a Ping g400 crossover in the bag because I can't hit a hybrid. As well as everything else, I agree with 'don't need a driver' too

They look so so cool. Wish I had the swing speed for them. After a 4 iron...my 3 and 2 iron shots tend to go less far. 5 wood for me!
Same
Thank you. These surely have a market. It will come down if player are able to hit them good enough in order to reach that distance. 😊😊😊
Looking at these, just settled into the stealth hd irons and trying to find the low end of the bag
I just got the 3i UDI and it's off the charts good!
Titleist U505 is a very very good UI. Smooth swings get u 240-250 with no problem, it was a game changer for me
Got the dhy so easy to hit. Ive changed my bag. Went for more forgiving and its paying off. Just gotta get that ping 10k
You certainly know how to review golf clubs mate, and how good do they look 🔥
What did you think of the shock shaft offering ?
DHY stands for "Driving Hybrid Yron" 😅
Orderd 😂😂
Sorry, but UDI sounds more like a bad medical condition that I don’t really want.
I must disagree, the TaylorMade driving irons have been a total flop, at least in the US.
Why would i put a driving iron in when i can just use 5w or 7w
I can smack an iron all day but when it comes to drivers or woods I can’t hit it at all.
@@nshuda42 gotta learn man, it's such an integral part of the game
@@Lil-monkeyoor he can use a driving iron lol
