- I bought this lock, and the instructions inside the lock were wrong. Which is why I believe it is a Black Friday Special.
This goes over how to program it and how to set the lock up.

Had this lock for a few years. Batteries leaked. I cleaned it up and got it functioning but no clue how to reprogram. Those “ instructions” inside the back casing were gibberish.

Hey Lifesaver! I found this deadbolt lock in my cabinet and the instruction is in espanol!!! Then I found your video, it makes all the sense without using any app. So happy now I have a new lock runs on battery only, love it.

Yeah, the lock is a couple years old. Needless to say the box and instructions are long gone. So I did an extensive amount of research just trying to figure out the model number because after pulling the entire lock apart and off of the door completely, I realized there is not even a serial number/model number sticker. I have been using the key to get in for about 3 weeks and finally stumbled across this video. Really appreciate the help buddy.

Thank you! Tried setting this thing over and over with the directions in the box! The problem with the directions is they don't tell you to change the USER CODE FIRST! Besides that, let the lock symbol blink a few times before hitting enter as well.

Elizabeth Monje the key should lock and unlock the deadbolt. Try removing the batteries and manually unlocking your deadbolt.

Thanks foe posting!, but how do you program the auto lock feature? It supposed to auto lock in 10 to 30 seconds after unlocking.
I have no idea, I dont think it does that. I could be wrong.

So when you exit the door, the user code would be punched in to lock the door. It's not working for me. Any thoughts?

My keys can be removed from the lock unless the door is locked and I can't get it to work.

My mother and I got it for black Friday... I watched this video and I wrote down step by step how to program both codes. (I know the steps by memory now)
. My problem is user code is not working but the programing did take, it works. I'm having the same problem with mine and my mother's . I tried to program different user codes and nothing.. It does even lock by pressing the lock button.. 🙁🙁
Robert Salinas, follow the link in the description. It's kwiksets instructions. Maybe it will be more clear.
Start fresh by pressing the reset button. Hold it for 5 long seconds, until you here 3 beeps.
I also found that the lock, will only let you change the programming code [pc] after you change the user code.
Remember, 2 beeps while programming means successful.
3 means failure.
This lock is very retarded to program. To save you a headache, near the battery has a reset buttom. Reset everything and follow this step by step.
Step 1, removing 1234 default user code. Press 0 0 0 0 press enter then press 3 then enter. This will remove used code 1234.
Step 2, create new user code, press 0 0 0 0 enter, then press 1 then enter, now enter 4 digit user code press enter.
Step 3, removing master code. Press 0 0 0 0 then enter, then press 4 then enter, now create 4 digit master code then press enter. You will hear 2 beep if setup correct.
Because this lock is hard to set up follow each step. Always creates used code 1st before you can create master code. Used code for everyday use. Master code is for maintenance or battery replacement or need an over ride to create new pass word.

They have handed me just one key 🔑, not sure if I will be able to reset code or that will help with little secure peace of mind or I may need to get a new lock since who knows has other key 🔑 or multiple keys

Don, this video is helpful but it still missing one part where you need to remove the user code.
To remove used code, enter master code, press enter, then press 3 then press enter
I had the same problem, the 1234 default user code still work even I create a new user code. To fix this problem follow this step.
Step 1, input master code, then press enter, then press 3 then press enter. This process will remove all user code, included manufacturer default user code and your new user code you just created.
Step 2, set up new user code, input master code, press enter, press 1, press enter, add your new user code then press enter. Would fix the problem for sure.
