A basic starter guide aimed at beginners to get a foundation for playing Lili in Tekken 8. For a combo guide click here -- ua-cam.com/video/D1-y_h2Odlg/v-deo.html
Even though I've been playing Lili since the launch of Tekken 8 & already in Warrior, I can see that I've still got alot to learn & need to start doing punishes instead of just holding back to block for some chip damage or get a combo going
I just picked up a fighting game for the first time..well , discount for 5 hours of guilty gear strive, but point is, never eve rplayed one, playsed lili, done way better then any of my actual good friends expected, but, the whole learning the movelist part, is so daunting And out of nowhere, youtube recommends me this video. I think tis very good. Thank you for making it ♥ Now, a basic combo guide, like maybe one juggle and one ground string, would be the greatest help ever x) So im glad you already announced it ;)
First half of this video is really helpful for complete noob like myself - thank you! Some moves and strats I hadn't seen yet after about 10 other videos on Lili.
Thank you for this guide! Finally decided to get into tekken with 8 and ive been searching since release for a video that just covers basics as far as moves go for a character.
Thanks! Appreciate it. After the combo video, will you make a video on how to structure her pressure ? Since that's one of her strengths ? And then cover mixups and her evasion tools ?
For beginners this was kind of too much information, presented too quickly... I just need a bnb, a punish combo or 2 (1 standing 1 crouching), a poke, some oki options and a few cheap tricks. Enough to get to yellow/orange ranks and from there I can look up more. This showed something for every frame situation (which is useful!) but it's too much to digest if i'm just starting
I'm new to Tekken, but generally in fighting games a counter hit is hitting an opponent during their attack animation. That means hitting them before their attack fully comes out, or while they are recovering from making an attack, or from a distance/angle where your attack hits and theirs misses. Usually there is some benefit to doing so like higher damage, longer stun, etc.
If you hit your enemy while they are in the middle of their attack animation. This can happen if your move is faster, if you had frame advantage or if they just started their move later. It doesn't always matter but certain moves will get extra properties (usually turn into a launcher) when used with counter hit.
When you say down forward 1 is the like the half circle input in street fighter games? Or do I have press down and forward quickly with out the corner input? Am I making sense sorry if I’m not. 😢
“d/f”, “df” and “down forward” are a diagonal input. SF fireball input is written “qfc” for quarter circle forward. If something was straight down and then straight forward it would probably be written “d,f”. Comma’s are usually what to look for to break things up
It’s in the customization menus. I’m not in front of it to check now but pick a character in the customization section and you can find a few to choose from
Noob here, I have a question. Since it looks like there is a variety of heat engagers I can do with Lili, is there a point to having a dedicated button (R1) for heat? Should I map R1 to something else, like for example triangle + cross? Also, same question for rage art (R2)
Mapping buttons is personal preference, but there are many players that do it. If you're having trouble pressing two buttons at the same time, try mapping them in the following way 1+2 to R2, 3+4 to R1, 1+4 to L2, and 2+3 to L1 Or assign the commands to buttons of your choice. It'll help with using heat burst, rage arts, and overall general moves that require two button inputs.

Hey thank you for the video, could you explain what is counter hit ?

bruh i lowkey miss her tekken 7 strings alot i keep getting into the habit of doing them lmaoo
is it a huge difference?
@@curlydolltv imo it is,its the same formula but the mechanics with combos in 8 is so different from 7
5:18 its just down not downforward
whats your upscaling set to?
Hey do you have any basic combo for newbie to leadn or bread and butter combo for lili?
Yup, working on a video for that rn. Adding some final touches and it should be going up no later than tomorrow for sure, so stay tuned
@@PirateKingFla good to know :D
are the moves list the same in tekken 7?
What's her counter move? so I can stop people from spamming light attacks on me
She has backward 1+3 but it's for punches. Idk if the devs added more

@@catcavespdxhey do you know how they get those characters resemble cool drawings just before an online match?

@@PirateKingFla Wow this is really helpful, thank you!
How do you block
There's no blocking in Tekken 8, Harada doesn't like that!
Move backward
Just hold back to block any mid or high attacks
Press down back (pressing down & back button at the same) to block low attacks
