@@Lite_lySalted Ok, thx. I just thought that they had added a more expedient fast travel button, but when I started the first mission, it still shows max. 5 times fas travel speed
@@keikobad It will show that in compartment view. If you have enabled "realistic time" at the start of the game, you will have higher compression options, only useable on the map screen
To just have the mechanics and engineers always hold onto rebreathers and spare parts, so simple yet so brilliant. I’m definitely doing this from now on and feel like a fool for not doing it before.
It doesnt matter so much about the parts if you dont have the realism cranked, as they will perform repairs anyway, but it helps to free up space in the store room ;)
A most excellent set of tutorials and you've explained them concisely without patronising. As a newbie to this particular game, you've run me through the basics in an efficient way, so thank you for keeping me engaged and informed!!
Thanks for the content as it's been a little difficult finding information on how you configure the boat, stores and AI. I've just started myself and am enjoying it so far. Keep up the great work.
I just want to say thank you man,the in game tutorial does help to some degree but yours are more detail, also i found out if you at the sea floor and didn't move, the enemy will never find you You could say i learn that the hard way and had to surface since i didn't have any battery charge left
Thanks for your videos - I was hesitating getting this game, now this is done... just have to dive into it now. I will need as much coffee as those sailors....
Great stuff! Just bought this game I'm old so figured out most things just cause I have games along time. But your step my step has showed me a lot please more tutorials
These are fantastic tutorials; they've really helped me get to grips with the game. Do you mind if I link one of your videos in a video of my own, reviewing the game?
@@Lite_lySalted Yeah I can hear some static when you speak. But it's not that bad. Well, back to watching the rest of your series before I set foot into the game. Thanks again!
How do you go about canceling a order to an officer? I am having a issue with my engineers going into a endless preheat torpedo loop and they completely neglect the engines.
@@Lite_lySalted crew management is on his priority is 10 for engine 8 for reloading and 7 for preheating same schedule for my night shift engineer. I set up day shift and night shift instead of the 3

Hi, good tutorial. But why my food icon is different from your game? I downloaded in steam by the way. Is there another update? I have checked the update and it says my game version is the latest version.
Let me correct you here for a moment. Since there is no Executive Officer (XO) on board the next in succession is Herr LI (short for Leitender Ingenieur aka der Leitende or in plain English Chief Engineer). If you have watched the movie Das Boot you will see ChEng always be near the KaLeu. Reason I'd know is I am an 8 year sea salt as well.
Hey Salted got a quick question, can this game be played with friends or is it a solo sim? Cause I really like the looks of this game and Wolfpack pretty much new to PC gamin and finding all these sweet games I been missing out on stuck on console.
@@Lite_lySalted Well I guess from what I been reading they've added AI bots so players don't have to find 5 others to play the game. What caught my fancy was the fact you can get multiple subs on the same mission like I would take a sub with AI crew and you can take a different sub with AI crew and we both work on the same mission together. But thanks for these tutorials they're gonna come in handy.
Excellent tutorial but . . . jeez, wayyyy toooo muuuuchhhh micromanagement in this game. is there any way to set the automation level to help out with these mundane chores? I like a reasonable degree of immersion but I do not want to be overburdened with it. This feels like . . . cleaning up the garage. Not fun. I've had the game for two weeks but haven't even left port. Thinking about just scrapping it altogether.
This game isn't playable. I did the first mission (the spy guy). A patrol boat rammed me flew over me and sank damaging the Uboat We fixed up the place and 3 more ships did the very same thing. 5 people were rescued and 1 captured everyone else died. We couldn't dive since the water in the harbor was between 15 and 17 meters.
@@Lite_lySalted Not complaining, man, absolutely grateful you've put this lot together. I just ain't seen such a necessarily involved tutorial for any game ever. It's a game that needs it though, fo' sho' . . .
We have torpedoes worth of 25000 onboard, but we just can't find a fucking wire worth of a few penny ... i'm sorry if i misspelled that sentence ... but the point is .. i've never played the game ... and still would not get rid of that scrap metal
What's funny is that the game itself tells you to go to YT for tutorials instead of completing the tutorial mission.
True

Thank you for these. I will be using them many times as I attempt to git anywhere near gud at this game.

Thanks for the video , just started this game and got a bit confused on how to manage the crew
I touch on crew management in later videos. This particular series is more about the base mechanics
Great tutorial - many thanks. One question - where are the spare torpedoes stored and how can you check on them?
Thanks! To check on your torps, have an officer right click on the torpedo launcher
@@Lite_lySalted thanks Litely
Great series! Learn difference between further and farther tho.
going through supplying the sub and all these things that need to be done...do they need to be done everytime we get new orders?
For the most part, yes. Resupply of torpedoes, food, ammo etc will need to be done everytime you put in to port.

Crew management on or off? Also, you should be using your mechanic for torps. His default priorities are built for it
