F-150 Pop Out Cup Holder Easy Fix

- 97 to 03 Ford F-150 Common problem with an easy fix. Pop out Cup holder fails to pop out. The little spring on the back side pops of when the plastic tabs holding it on fail. This is great! Not only will I be able to put my 2001 cup holder back in and take the 1999 one out, but I might get rid of that unidentifiable rattle in the dash! NICE!
A little trick I use when I rivet plastic is to put a washer on the inside. Keeps the mushroom from possibly splitting the plastic. Good plug for Harbor Freight. Half of my tools came from there.

@TheRealCobraBurnout I did get it fixed, took a little longer because it didn't want to go back in so easy, luckily I didn't break anything and it's back to normal now!

Excellent. I like the rivet idea. Perfect. Wonder if this is a similar setup on a 2009 F350 pull-out cupholder? Anybody. It pulls out fine but the two individual curved cup-holder tensioned pieces have lost their springs as well.
