$1295 usd camera vs $3898 usd price. 3x the price, the BMPCC4K for its price is still the best cinema camera out there.
One has horrible rolling shutter, no af, and no weather sealing, one has amazing rolling shutter, industry best autofocus, and great weather sealing. That’s the difference. If you don’t care about any of those things then sure get the bmpcc

@@philipd9901 because good focus is something everyone wants. It can be achieved with a follow focus and a manual lens, or with good autofocus. I am extremely happy with the video af on my Sony

Highlight roll off on the bmpcc is so much nicer. You can’t beat that camera in image quality for the price.
Man that is hard. I have to say color science is better on BMPCC4k but Fx3 is sharper. It rally depends on what you want to shoot. Thank you good video!!

Thank you for review, i have a question, why you don't use the same iso number? because you used 800 in fx3 and 400 in BMPCC
Those are the native ISO's for each camera. Filming at native usually provides less noise and a cleaner image quality
I have a 4K camera, but I feel like its audio recording quality isn't very good. I'm not sure if it's an issue with my device. Also, is it necessary to use DaVinci for color grading?merci
For audio you use camera mic ? You can use other software for color grading. But Davinci is very good 😊
@@ChrisFilmmaker I am using an external Bluetooth microphone, but the sound quality is poor whether I use the internal or external microphone. For color grading, I use Final Cut Pro because I haven't learned how to use DaVinci Resolve yet. I would like to know how you record sound.thank you。merci。

Wich converter lens you use on bmpcc?
I use the Viltrox EF-M1
If I remember correctly, the 18-35 is not a full frame lens, so you were shooting in aps-c mode. And this negatively affects the detail of the image. I think it's worth mentioning in the video
Hi, don't worry I didn't shoot in aps-c mode 😅😅. I use the right focal with sigma 18-35 😉.

Mate, it's currently 2024 and I'm using this camera and I'm stunned with how organic and rich the image is. There's more to the picture than just specs. This is coming from someone who switched from the Fuji XH2-S.
The XH2-S has amazing specs on paper, but I found the image out of it to be very digital, flat and lifeless, despite the fact that it has a stacked sensor, insane DR, and prores.
Did you use mc11 adapter for fx3?

I like BMPCC4K because of cyan colours present in the image. I just sold mine and replaced it with BMPCC6K pro

viltrox is a cheap adapter, it doesn''t perform well at the lowest F stop comparing to Metabones, if you stopped at f2.2 instead you'll see much sharper image without blooming. if it was metabones the f1.8 would be as sharp as native mount.

bmpcc is great but sony fx3 is much more than ... quality , using , colour , log mode , cinematic look vs. bmpcc with the blue tint
I would disagree. I feel like the BRAW image coming from the BMPCC is a lot more organic and rich than the FX-3. Not to say that the FX-3 is bad, but there's something special about the pocket 4k that looks more like a cine cam and less like a digital mirrorless camera.
If you want AF, weather sealing and good low-light the FX-s is still fantastic.

Hi, I've been following your channel a lot since I got the blackmagic4k, I love and hate it, because when I bought it I didn't know I would have to add accessories to complement it, one of the drawbacks is the AF and your size. It's the main reason why I'm looking to switch to the SONY FX30. but as soon as I look at a video like this and the quality and color that you manage to achieve, it makes me back off my decision to switch and stick with the BlackMagic solely for its BRAW. That's why I say I have a love hate. As a user of both BMPCC4k and SONY Fx30 equipment, which one would you recommend I keep since I am dedicated to the production of music videos? Will the FX30 hold up to heavy work?

Hola, llevo siguiendo mucho tu canal desde que tengo la blackmagic4k, tengo un amor odio hacia ella, ya que cuando la adquirí no supe que tendría que implantar accesorios para que pueda complementarse, una de la desventaja es el AF y tu tamaño. es lo principal por lo que busco cambiarme a la SONY FX30. pero en cuanto miro un video como este y su calidad y color que logras conseguir, me hace retroceder a mi decisión de cambio y quedarme con la BlackMagic únicamente por su BRAW. por eso es que digo que tengo un amor odio. Tu como usuario de los dos equipos BMPCC4k y SONY Fx30, cual me recomendarías quedarme ya que me dedico a la producción de videos musicales? ¿la FX30 Soportara trabajos pesados?

Love for color/images but I hate for the form factor. i recommand you FX30 if you product music video, for factor is so good and dynamic range will help you so much for high contrast and low light.
Same here! I own both the BMPCC4K and the 6K Pro, and I'm constantly debating, LOL! I just can't seem to find another camera that can rival the depth and richness of the BRAW for under 6K USD.
