@@semajo.9514 I’ve knows Spanish my whole life and now I’m my last year in college I am struggling to know the differences and my class requires you to know them. So yeah 10 years from now I bet I still won’t know the difference
In easier way: we have vowels or N or S (why n or s ? because we add n to verbs like habla - hablan and s to nouns like ojo - ojos ) Rule 1: if a word ends in vowels or N or S it must be stressed on SECOND TO LAST Syllable. NO NEED for an accent marker , OTHERWISE it must be accented to direct you where to stress. Rules 2: if a words ends in any other letter, it must be stressed on the LAST syllable. NO NEED for an accent marker, OTHERWISE it must be accented to tell you where to stress. Examples: sofá = soFA because without accent sofa is must be pronounced SOfa. también = tamBIEN ; without accent marker; tambien TAMbien. I hope it's useful Thank you
you won't know if a syllable is stressed by looking at it individually. You have to look at it in the context of the word. for example, the spanish word for telephone is pronounce teLEfono, and has an accent over the second e. Hope that helps.
This all has to do with which syllable is stressed when pronouncing the word. In Spanish, unlike English there are accents marks to assist with the stressed syllable in a word. Where you stress the syllable can change the meaning of a word completely, for example: la papa - the potato el Papa - the Pope el papá - the dad
Rule 2 is the most important. Speaking isn't too hard, but knowing where to put the tildes (' or ~) is crucial to Spanish grammar and WILL come up in any Spanish class.
Gracias por el video! I'm Mexican American and while my first language was Spanish and I know the Spanish alphabet I use alot of common street slang and I never knew anything about using that accent Mark's in an appropriate way! I'm going to have to re watch the video a few times to get it because I'm SUPER confused! If anyone knows of more material I can see to help me, please point me in that direction
Wn gracias a esto acabo de entender la diferencia entre "Sí" y "Si" xDDD!! Y sí, yo hablo español y estoy viendo un vídeo de cómo hablarlo xDD Ah y... MUCHAS personas que hablan español son pésimos en los acentos.... :v Y muchos ni saben la diferencia entre "Hay" "Ay" y "Ahí" xDD!! Así que está bien :v
i want to complicate the things, if there are two vowels joined and the accent is in the last one independently if it finishes in any letter, for example, baúl, even though the accent is in the last syllable and it finishes in l, we put the accent just for not get confused when you are learning, but there are exceptions, and yes the only way that you can learn this is reading to much
Spanish would be better if they abandoned the accent marks. The're completely unnecessary and just add unneeded complication to typed Spanish. English uses accented syllables but you only see the accent marks in dictionaries. They're not used in practice. You learn how to correctly pronounce words and if you're not sure you look it up in the dictionary.
How do you know if a syllable is stressed? I say the syllable and can't tell a difference....
do u know now after 4 years
@@ziadmahmoud4409 I don't

That fun my fist languages Spanish and I don’t know how to use it correctly

I don't know if this helps or not. But it's like the word 'suspect' it means two different things when said differently. SUSpect and susPECT
I love learning from the gimp in Pulp Fiction 🤗
YOU LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFW BECAUSE I AM HISPANIC AND I KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT SPANISH BUT ITS JUST ACENTED MARKSI I DON'T

There is an app that teaches you accent mark placement rules without having to learn the rules. It makes it easy to learn to apply the rules.
which apps teaches with the accent marks?
Syntheside I'm not sure which app you are referring to?
But what are stressed syllables
Watching this feels like I'm learning my language on Tagalog instead of spanish
Muchas Gracias!
Thank you so much for making this too easy 🙂👍❤️

La verdad ni yo se cuando usar la tilde jajajaj
U mean u have to first know how the word is pronounced and then add a stressed accent accordingly?

Super helpful!!
I'm being spanish native I don't know when use the accents😅
Thank you beautiful
thank you so much ! but does anyone know how to tell which syllable is stressed ?
The stressed is loud and higher and the unstressed its not
hello, but why on the word "mesa" we dont need a mark (its end in vowel)?
HOW DO YOU KNOW WHERE THE WORD IS STRESSED?
Thank you this helps sdo much cause I'm writing a test
How do you know where the word is stressed????
How does one know if a word does not need any stress, even though it is a long word ex. seguridad?
Articles are also used to differentiate words. Such as el Papa the pope and la papa the potato and papá father, dad.
Maravilloso 😉
Difícil no? Lo es hasta para nosotros los hablantes nativos
Why does he change colors
I NEVER KNEW SI VS SÍ
IKR 😭😭😭
Shouldn't the word "Donde" not need an accent according to these rules?
I just do not understand instead of saying 1st 2nd or last syllable from the last, why not say 1st 2nd or last syllable?
This video is very great, but i don't know english... Huhu
