    I really liked this format. It'd be cool to see you do more of these overviews of how a player is currently doing. I'd also like to see you do more pitch-by-pitch breakdowns of great ABs from the batter's perspective.

    I honestly had no idea he wasn't already in the majors! I had a card of his in Diamond Dynasty on MLB The Show 22 last year and he was an absolute beast. Exactly how you described, power + speed, my favorite type of player in a video game. I'm definitely rooting for his success.

    Ok, every hitter has holes and pitchers find them, especially in the tech era. That being said, Ted Williams would still hit 344 today. This may be the new "Kid".

    Elly and O’Neill Cruz are just two of the studs that are going to bring the NL Central back to national relevance. The future is bright! (Also, considering all the first round picks that NL Central teams have benefitted from over the years, it’s about time that some new superstars start to make their mark.)

      You think either of those guys are going to sign a long-term deal with those poverty franchises?

    • @peaceful-joe
      @peaceful-joe Рік тому

      @@DAatDA Well, you can never know or predict how things will play out when a guy reaches his contract year. It’s hard to know 6/7 years in advance what the needs across the league will be for those dudes by the time they become free agents. Also, we don’t know if their clubs will still operate they way they have in the past, building the franchise through the draft/minor leagues instead of spending money, etc. The best we can hope for is that they stay on the field/stay healthy and play the best baseball they can. As the years go on, and the game continues to evolve, it becomes more interesting and exciting to see how the players change, and the organizations too. Baseball is the sport of KINGS, there’s levels to understanding and enjoying this sport. ;-)

    Yea I think Acuna was the same way when he entered the league there was no way in pitching to but I noticed that in some of his swings that he had a long swing. So what pitchers do now is they will throw up and in on him and he has gotten plunked several times because he was standing to close to the plate. So what you are taught as a pitcher is not to hit them but it's to back them off the plate and usually if the pitcher is successful.Then you will see pitchers start using off speed stuff and try to throw away from him. So yea major league pitchers will make adjustments and let's see how he does with off speed and breaking stuff

    I saw that guy play last week against the Syracuse Mets and it really looked like he was out there having batting practice during the game. I'm not surprised in the least to see him killing it in the majors

      I was at one of those games too in Cuse. He was fun to watch. His only downfall was he ignored every kid in the place when he had opportunities to acknowledge them, autos would of been fantastic but not even willing to look there way.

    Big league pitchers have a way of finding holes and weaknesses pretty quickly. Time will tell if he can make the adjustments needed to stay.

    • @rafaelceara1

      Because you need to be Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, or Warren Buffet to afford something like that, and you always want diversity in your team. If someone do that, they will sue them because they are probably racist against other nationalities 😊

    There are several young players on the Reds who are looking really, really good so far. They'll keep Reds fans happy for a few years until the Reds get rid of them because they won't pay them.
