You will be surprised to find out the cause of this issue, I am sure this happens to all of us at least once in our lifetime... it is good to be able to diagnose the issue, and there are ways to avoid pump failure in some cases. What you see in these 15 min videos takes for me usually a week of time (An hour each night) to film and diagnose. Thanks for watching, Max.
never a good idea to let a car sit, so many various problems result. there are ways to "store" your car which eliminates these problems, fuel and related parts are usually the first items to go bad. there are dozens of chemicals out there to resolve these types of issues, glad you were able to pinpoint and resolve your issue.
Hey there thnks for video I hv c240 m112 v6 it's cranking but Don start checked fuel on the shredder valve of I press with a small screw driver fuel comes with a lot of presure n I do hv spark I really do no wht could be the problm
My w203 is doing the same but it starts for like a second then cuts out and i dont have a fuel regulator to check the pressure. When i put ignition on i cant hear the fuel pump is this common like a silent pump or is it easily heard?
@BenzAddiction so I bought a pressure tester, it was 55psi but wouldn't start so changed the fuel filter now it starts but only 28psi, as soon as I turn off the car it instantly drops to zero.
I have a 2008 C-300. It sat for a very long time because it “died” on me. I was told it was the intake manifold. Before my car “died” I replaced radiator/hose and the fuel pump. I have spark, fuel, and air it cranks fine but won’t turn over. What do you think is wrong?
Wow, never imagined that a mechanic in a bottle would have fixed this. Old fuel and sediments could be an issue if these cars are not driven often. I prepare my Mercs (W201 and R170) before hibernation , filling up the tank all the way and adding fuel stabilizer. Then I start them every couple of months
I love this video but how sure are you that the Lucas treatment will make the car to last like a year, i think it's better to change the filter, or don't you think that the lucas treatment might wash the dirts inside the engine
I have seen many reviews on Lucas products, some of them done by UA-camrs like project farm, in my opinion this product only has some extra lubricants and detergents, should not harm the parts, but as I said I do not promote this product, my last sentences was basically stressing the fact that stale fuel can ruin the pump and regulator.
If you pay attention to the sound....you can actually work out where the issue is. crank no start? Most likely the fuel pump (Mercedes at this era have limited life span of 10,-12years max at normal op)
Hi there for some reason my vanity mirror lights are not working even tho ive change the bulbs and I’m having trouble finding there correct fuse ? Cheers

@@rjkulman8990 thanks mate, good points 👍
Idle cars get all sorts of issues with fuel, good to start and or drive regularly.
Thanks for the tips and demonstration mate.
Thank for watching mate, The car is finally ready after a year of working on it and will be registered next week :)
@@BenzAddiction We are looking forward to view the result👍
@@karlbenz4925 👍
well there you go. I would have bet money on the pump as the issue, another great video.
Thanks Allan 😊 A Mercedes should never sit for a long time :)
Interesting it was as simple as that. I am liking the CLK more and more, the practicality vs my R129 is better!
Yes, R129with M119 or M120 is an investment though...
@@BenzAddiction Mine's a 300SL-24 with the M104. Great car! The top is troublesome though....
When you add that Lucas treatment into fuel tank, do you follow its recommended usage or you put way more?
As it cures 100 Galons with 34 ounces, I usually add 1 ounce for every 12L of fuel.
I have A 99 CLK320 106 K miles that sat for years rarely driven, I am having this same issue. Going to buy some LUCAS, I will get back if it works!
Thanks mate keep us posted, add some fresh fuel for sure.
Did It work?
@@osvilego1440 no, it was the Crankshaft Position Sensor.

Hi mate, diagnose to see if there is a fault code.
My w203 is doing the same but it starts for like a second then cuts out and i dont have a fuel regulator to check the pressure. When i put ignition on i cant hear the fuel pump is this common like a silent pump or is it easily heard?
Check with a can of starting fluid to see if it is fuel related.

@HotAshHuni Is the fuel stale? How old? Use start up fluid it should start, if not do a compression test on all 4 cylinders, and let me know.

Yes, i did start it every month, but never consumed the old fuel in it.
i have a 2005 sl500 fuel pump kicks on sometimes relay is good after a drive the pump wont turn on
Yeah, I had this issue on another car, fuel pump is on its way to go.
I love this video but how sure are you that the Lucas treatment will make the car to last like a year, i think it's better to change the filter, or don't you think that the lucas treatment might wash the dirts inside the engine

Thanks mate, Yes correct, but it is not easy to hear the fuel pump noise.

I have lots of videos on CLK, please have a look around: ua-cam.com/video/U1tyHTd6uN4/v-deo.html
Nice one, thanks
Thanks mate 👍
I bet it’ the oxygen sensor, no code, and the car doesn’t start. It happends to me. Ok, so it is not the oxy sensor for sure.
Yeah, interesting, no codes...
