The atmosphere is incredible. Their live concerts are a thing of beauty, really is, and this was playing the exact year I was born. So cool, after 29 years I'm discovering this while listening to my favorite band.
"Move back ...... step outside yourself . . . ' Outstanding song ..... great in every way. The rhythm, the beat, the chords and the bass !!!!! The Fields of the Nephilim at that time suffered terribly - and it did negatively impact on their overseas/non- Great Britain audience - as being "Sisters clones.' Bullsh^t'
I could never understand the Sisters comparisons either. Blue Water does have a slight Craig Adams-ish bass riff but only briefly before it becomes its own thing.
Sisters have less of that rockabilly/western thing going on, they are less mystical and occult-themed and didn't veer that much into ethereal/psychedelic territory. Fields on the other hand use less keyboards and don't have elements of darkwave or industrial in their early sound. Floodland also experimented with some more hard rock oriented riffs. Both bands are and were legendary acts though.
when I saw them live, back in the late 80s, there was so much fog on the stage, the only things you could see throughout the whole show was the hat and the sunglasses of the singer. Of course I was so stoned, I didn't care - like everyone else :D
Got my ticket to see them in September 2021. Hope the fuck it goes ahead. I've been a fan since the late 80 s and never seen them. It's a bucketlist concert for sure. Legends.
More information PLEASE! Aware that they played Shepherd's Bush in 2018 but know nothing else. My Tickets for 2020's BST Festival in Hyde Park have been postponed yet again, until 2022. I shall continue to wait though. American rock Gods Pearl Jam headlining BTW.
I was into the Fields back in the day albeit not huge - went to see them in Aylesbury - I have been to 100's of gigs over past 40+ plus years - none have come close to this gig - I remember just standing in awe soaking up the atmosphere - totally changed me - sounds dramatic but true.
Its been over 20 yrs since i last saw the neph ! since then i was a dj playing hard house and bassline !! but never forgot my roots bands like these sisters ,motorhead and hawkwind still going strong ithere music is never forgotten! got tickets to see them in oct at leeds 02 i cant wait " im coming home!!" love them first time i saw them they was supporting zodiac mindwarp! i knew then they was very unique!
look, something to sound like this, not even close. but if u want few bands from the movement called "dark wave / gothic",u can listen:: disjecta membra,, voices of masada,,preachers of neverland,,moonspell,,nosferatu,,the house of usher,,bauhaus,,garden of delight,,the merry thoughts,,joy division,,seraphim shock,,clan of xymox,,swans of avon,,rosetta stone,,sons of neverland,,tuxedomoon,,suspiria,,metro decay,,opened paradise(the last two are greek) enjoy and welcome to the dark world
Leeds sounded ok to me thoroughly enjoyed it down the front, I did think Carl looked tired and they announced on facebook he is poorly and nearly pulled out the London gig on Doctors orders. I will definitely go and see them again.
Nothing sounds like them! My favorite band at the moment is Type O Negative (already gonne), U guys and girls can give me some bands that sound like this, or, you know, slytli worse...
yes, i totally agree.. i didn`t want to be superficial... the music, the lyrics and his voice are of course the most important things to me... i saw them the day before yesterday and i am a little desappointed: they only played for 70 minutes, the sound was very bad and the tickets price was 30 Euro :-( but the setlist was stunning... have you ever seen them live? Of course i will give them another chance, i know that they give their best live and they are one of my favourite bands :-)
Just move back stepping outside yourself, I 'm feeling fallin' upwards, looking at Hell! Blue Angel, in this nightfall Please unleash this animal inside out of my mind Perspiration drain my head... MY HEAD!! We feed a nightfall Minion came...ANGEL!
i think this was a great track but the video made it difficult to take it seriously, the only thing they ever did I didn't like, not the music, just the video, that wasn't there fault I'm sure
I loved the video. When I was skint back in the day Id save up a quid and go to the pub - you could get 3 videos on their video jukebox for a quid and I'd watch it 3 times then go home - that was my 'night out'
I still listen to them in 2024 ,I just crossed 60
One of my favorite band of all time .
I’m one year behind you. One of my all time favorite bands too
life l, life long fan ,nod was best ever drummer they had .

A Fields of the Nephilim gig is a spiritual gathering.
AWESOME !!! Stage presence like nobody else, and one If not their greatest tune, spreading the darkness..
The atmosphere is incredible. Their live concerts are a thing of beauty, really is, and this was playing the exact year I was born. So cool, after 29 years I'm discovering this while listening to my favorite band.
...ich liebe Euch immer noch !!!
The greatest band ever. Period.
one of their best. love it...
trees come down, darkcell, dawnrazor, endemoniada, shiva and whole elizium album - masterpieces of goth
I'm addicted to this

I never understood the sisters clone thing. Carl’s voice is very distinctly not Andrew and the writing isn’t similar to the sisters either
I could never understand the Sisters comparisons either. Blue Water does have a slight Craig Adams-ish bass riff but only briefly before it becomes its own thing.
Sisters didn't even have a real rhythm section!

Awesome 👍 excellent FIELDS of the NEPHILIM 🌾 ⭐⭐🌙

Carl is pure sexiness...

Hopefully I'm seeing them in September. Defo smoking abit of green before hand
His name is Carl McCoy. :}
Hypnotic ! such a high fantasy show. This band is magic !

FotN was a band (no longer original lineup) that issued discs to get people to the concert, rather than playing gigs to sell discs.
AWESOME
So much more depth than the Sisters ever had, both musically and lyrically....
FOTN is a bizzare copy of Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Sisters Of Mercy and the vocalist vomits instead of singing.
Poe Meets Ludwig no not all. They are their own thing.
I don’t agree. Both have equal depth in music and lyrically.
Aguante argentina y fields of te nephilim
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Where are you? They have done most of the big festivals in Europe this year and are touring the UK with the Mission in December.
❤️❤️❤️🖤🖤🖤🖤👍👍🇵🇹
Noone comes close.
🎸🖤🖤🎤🎵🎼🎸🎸🇵🇹

The Visionary Heads video would have to win the award for the all time worst edited rock footage. Such as shame as the audio is amazing.
Now I know where Nick Holmes, Darrel White and Liv Kristine search inspiration;)
Which is the name of the whole video concert of the gig?
Forever remain dvd
@@eon14873 thanks a lot! this band rocks!cheers!
@@bassdirector hopefully going to see them in wales this september
questi erano quelli originali!
Gothic Rock from Namibia and South Africa - Crowmaster - Consecration (Live) 2024 - ua-cam.com/video/exyaGbtaUhs/v-deo.html
:O Nod on backing vocals ... at least visually ;)
Shits all over Rob Zombie!!!
Also over Al Jourgensen of Ministry...he stole the image from this dude
White Zombie opened up for Fields of the Nephilim. I think in New York.
