      Depending on where you buy the M500/M600/M510 motors, you can specify the wheel size and top speed.
      I have the besst tool and an account with Bafang. This is to not only change the wheel size in case of mullet setup for myself or others. But to ensure that the motor is running the newest firmware.
      Reach out to GBK (Green Bike Kits), and they might be able to do you a bundle pack for the motor system, besst tool and set you up with an account with Bafang 👍🏿

      I am actually ordering a Custom wheelset this week with Custom Onyx classic hubs, & Raceface ARC35 offset HD rims tubeless. Only hubs besides DTswiss that can handle throttle on my bike. Though after long talk with Spank they plan to redesign their Hex J-type hubs to handle the tuned m560 & handle the throttle power. But not out yet . So Onyx Classic is only way to go.

    As a new Bafang & Dengfu e22 owner. Happy to have found your channel. I've been lusting for so long and 2 weeks ago... she happened and I've put 300 miles on it. 😂

      I run an SRAM NX Groupset & I will tell you it rides amazing and I ride very very hard. But I run an E10 with M600 that is custom tuned & can run at up to 2000Watts of power, but I normaly run it around 1000Watts. Bafang Recently released a New Motor(FLX WEAPON X) an american company will be the first to run that 1000Watt engine. It was called the M610 by FLX and now I believe it is called the M560. It is also lighter than the M600 by a lot, & with a way better power curve, plus doesn't over heat at 1000watts of power.

    Hi Neeko. Do you think the 620 motor is noisy? Seems like the black E55 you demoed made quite the whine. If so was it annoying to you?

    • @neekodevinchi
      @neekodevinchi  9 місяців тому

      Hi Jim, the M620 isn't as loud as you think. Yes, it can be heard when you're reaching higher speeds and using high levels of assist. But the motor is pulling more power than most.
      Their are hacks to make the motor's quieter. But it involves using a different grease.
      Because of the performance benefits of the motor, the noise is a slight compromise (similar to Bosch Gen4 motors). But it's not distracting imo👍🏿

    Great long awaited Q&A session, thank you, thank you, thank you. Alas I have one question. What if you are simply repulsed at the idea of riding a fully carbon E-Mtb. Are there any viable aluminium (alloy) Chinese e-Mtb frames available that you would recommend?
    Also doing Bafang do a frame where the battery is placed in the side of the downtube instead of underneath it?
    I dunno if you saw a recent Rob Rides UA-cam where he and a mate gave both the Bafang motor and Dengfu carbon frame a right good bashing both in the air and on the ground on a bike park trail. It kind of answered all those questions about the durability of such Chinese sourced EMTB’s!

    • @neekodevinchi
      @neekodevinchi  2 роки тому +1

      Apologies for the delay John.
      In answer to your 2nd question, yes. Their are some Emtbs which use the Bafang system with side mounted batteries. They are removable via a key and lock design.
      As for your 1st question, the alloy frame options are available. The Seroxat Hybrid comes to mind. Along with an alloy frame I picked up from GBK (which I'll debut in due course).
      Yes, I have seen Rob Rides' video. I recognise that he tested the E10 & M500 / M510 motor. Not the E22 with M620. In addition, Rob never answered the question "How do the bikes hold up after a year+, nor his experiences regarding any rudimentary/in-depth maintenance and service?".
      Still, I'll share my experiences and pass on what I've learnt 👍🏿

    How did you fit a 220x 65 rear shock into the e55 like your video shows? I’m installing the Fox Float X and it hits the seat post down tube on the frame, What is the max length of the rear shock?

      A 230x65 shock should fit. And when fully compressed, the seat tube shouldn't hit the seatstay bridge.

    • @neekodevinchi
      @neekodevinchi  Рік тому

      The yoke throughout the Dengfu E10, E22, E23, E55 & E56 are the same. I have not needed a custom yoke or offset bushings for the 210x60 rear shock. Essentially, the extra stroke length allows the rear wheel to move further. This giving 162.5mm of travel. The dimensions of the 210x60 are the same as the 210x55 shock.
      However, running this shock does void the frame warranty (although, my E10 hasn't cracked throughout me continuously using it👍🏿

    • @Indictedheart
      @Indictedheart Рік тому

      I own the LUNA X2 V2 Ludicrous. If you run over 1000watts, You can plan on OVERheating really fast when climbing. Their WHEELSET SUCKS, so plan to upgrade that, if you want to run DH or FR at all plan to upgrade the Brakes, Wheelset, Dropper post, Peddals, & rear shock. I also swapped seat, bar, grips, shifter and deraileur. I run NX groupset with HG+, considering upgrading to a GX groupset, but I run INdustry Nine Hydra Hubs, w/ 32H RaceFace ARC35 Offset rims with Cushcore + 27.5"rims with 2.8" tires. It may be cheaper to build your own. OR WAIT & get the FLX WEAPON X which is a very nice bike, much better specs all around, For nearly the same Price. Plus you get 1000watts with a lighter motor that replaces the m600. My Bike No weighs 52lbs. But it is nearly impossible to get a second Battery from LUNA, their QUANTA hubs suck, rims are pretty crappy as well. So unless you want to put another $1500 into the bike or you plan to only ride desert trails or AM. No hard riding then LUNA X2 V2 is ok. But the FLX Weapon X coming out in a Month is a way better bike for the money. With way more power. It is also adjustable so you can turn down the power like the LUNA X2 V2. Honestly If your price range is $4k-$5k their are a ton of better e-bikes out there for the money. I do regret buying my LUNA X2 V2 and I was lucky to get my with the NX setup, because they were out of SX parts. I have 900miles on my bike and never redlined it but have come close to doing so, & had to sit and wait for 30minutes while it cooled down. But if you don't get the ludicrous overheating isn't an issue. But if you don't plan to get ludicrous then buying a $4k-$5k bike that runs teh BOSCH motor is a much wiser buy. I learned the hard way. Wish I had spent a lot more and got a better bike.

    • @neekodevinchi

      If I'm not mistaken, the Giant Trance X uses a trunion rear shock. The E55 uses a metric eyelet rear shock. In addition, the Trance X uses a 150mm travel fork. The E55 needs atleast 160mm travel upfront. So it wouldn't be a simple 'swap over parts job'.

      Whilst myself and many others assumed that by running a 230x65 rear shock would give 163mm'ish of rear wheel travel, essentially you would only raise it to near 155mm'ish.
      So in short, yes. You can use a 230x65mm shock. But the travel increase is minor. I run a 230x62.5 and it comfortably gives 150mm of travel.

    How did you put the 216x62.5MM onto the E10 bike? Is it safe to do if your riding hard, i.e Downhill/Enduro/FR style? Where did you get the yoke to get the extra travel?

    • @neekodevinchi
      @neekodevinchi  Рік тому +1

      Hi Chris, I don't use a 216x63mm rear shock (although, I've seen others who have). Instead, I run a 210x60mm rockshox monarch plus rc3 rear shock (Trek proprietary for the Trek Slash 2014). This gives me 163.5mm of rear travel. Whilst it does void the warranty as the rear triangle can now move further than Dengfu had initially designed, I have yet to who cracked or damaged the frame after multiple 6-7foot huck-to-flats. The seat tube has not made contact with the bridge after full bottom out. But again, running the shock I'm using technically voids the frame warranty.
      The 210x60 shock allows me to retain the same geometry, similar to a 210x55. The shock is essentially a metric rear shock with a longer stroke, meaning that it installs into the existing yoke with the same eyelet bushes used for any Rockshox rear shock. I have overforked my E10v1 (180mm with 27.5 wheels or 170mm with 29). The 2° angle headset also aids in the handling and capabilities of the frame.
      Hope this answers your question but if you need a visual reference, I took a picture of my E10v1 using the 210x60 👍🏿

    What is considered the best grease for the M620?

    • @neekodevinchi
      @neekodevinchi  2 роки тому +1

      Corn head grease is still recommended and optimised for the M620. Especially around the main reduction gear and subsequent secondary gears. The clutch requires a very thin layer of light non-viscuss grease. Suspension grease I find to be sufficient. But I'll elaborate on this, when I shoot my 'bafang motor service videos'.

    • @neekodevinchi
      @neekodevinchi  2 роки тому +1

      Corn head grease isn't the best grease for the M600. It is still optimised for the M620. The reason why is due to the revolutions per the reduction gear vs viscosity and heat.

      At 6foot 1inches, I would recommend the large frame E22. From my experience, its easier to shrink a bigger frame. Compared to lengthening a smaller frame.
      I'm 6foot 3inches, and the bike fits me very well.
      Be sure to check out the E22 frame thread on EMTB Forums (the first 2 pages 😅).
      Hopefully this helps and thanks for your comment 👍🏿

      I am 5' 11" and I ride a Medium E-10. Had to change a lot with the cockpit to make it fit me right. I.E had to go to 60mm Stem, & run a 200mm Dropper post w/ travel adjust.
      Now it fits me perfect. I wish I had gone with a large tbh.

    Is there a dengfu e22 frame size suitable for 75in tall rider?

      It too am 75inches (6foot 3inches). The large frame E22 (with 210 One Up dropper with a 50mm stem and rolling on 29er wheels is surprisingly big. The frame's silhouette and proportions (in terms of headtube height and seat tube height), are similar to other manufacturers XL's.
      Truth be told, I have never felt cramped on the bike. But I do recognise that I did build my E22 from scratch as a pose to buying a complete build.
