Wow, Mel is the best, theres none like him, I met him years ago when o stopped on for lunch, he's the kindest, nicest man I ever met, Mels hotdogs are most definitely the best in town hands down! I do pray who ever buys it keeps it the same and doesn't change a thing and keeps his awesome legacy 2:37 on forever!

Mel is a great dude !!!! I have dined in with him since 79, while attending USF and the many times if/when passing thru Tampa or hitting Busch Gardens, literally next door !!! Mel you have built an Empire, Institution, best of luck in the Real Estate, hoping the Dogs continue 🙏. I will be seeing you soon for a classic Vienna Beef Dog !!! Jimbo 🎉

We had a place like that up in Albany New york. L-Ken’s. It was taken over and driven into the ground. The sign had a rotating hot dog with neon … one side said snacks. The other Drive-In on top of the sign …. When you ordered a hot dog. You ordered a spinner…. A deeply missed institution Built in 1962 closed 2007. Torn down 2016

Yep, it might have been a landmark for the past 50 years but times have changed. When I saw all those old empty tables, it was clear that his days of many loyal customers coming in for a hotdog was long gone. If he owns that real estate then the value of that property alone is worth much more than his business.
Who ever buys it, plz make sure you're just like him.
