SORTEDfood do a colab you guys!!!!
Yo do collab! LucaSORTED.
Hi guys!!
Collab when?
Hi guys!
The past 6 months I’ve been in a really bad place-both psychologically and physically. I’ve dealt with relentless emotional and verbal abuse as well as a chronic disease. One of the ways I’ve tried to numb and distract myself is through the internet. One day while spending hours online I found your videos. I was immediately struck by your engaging, curious, and compassionate personality and character. The way your mind and “heart” work in unison is truly inspiring: you think deeply but you care deeply too. The humanity that you bring to each interpersonal interaction is astounding and seems to deepen your experience of the food too.
The people around me in these past few months have been none of those things that you and your work represent. In them I’ve seen cruelty, greed, and narcissism. As time goes by, sometimes it’s been hard to remember that there are people out there who don’t share the same values. Watching your videos has given me hope.
i think its time for u to find a new circle g
I know that this is late but I hope you’re in a better place rn!
Bruh. Its a hot dog.
Bring Lucas back
a video on hotdogs stopped ya from ending it all eh. what a world we live in.
Born & raised in Miami and this feature is spot on. Will never forget the 1st time I visited Arbetter’s over 25-yrs ago. Same taste, same quality every time. Thanks for this!
You have to move to Korea for an all dog Hot Dog 🔥😒
I love that they don't give any fuck about the show. They keep it real, everybody know the best street food comes from the nastiest looking joints
ilias 2405 yes! This right here. I tell people this all the time and they just don't believe it.
ilias 2405 facts 😂😂😂
I love this kind of place! Where you can get a simple, hearty meal, and have the same experience you had as a kid. (Also, I miss my old chili dog place. The restaurant chain still exists, but the one I lived in in high school is now a parking lot. It's not the same.)
Food brings back memories.
Yeah, Rutt’s Hut opened in 1928 in NJ and originated the “RIPPER”.
Ruts Hut
River Road, Clifton NJ
Where the deep fried hotdog originated
daija rose i just had Rutts hut 2 days ago before even knowing about this copy place
Mom and Pop places are usually awesome! The owners put a personal interest in the quality of the product and the service. You make the onion rings and hot look delicious. thank you for you enthusiastic review.
cmon, lucas has to be the best host on youtube. Eater better be paying the man!
Went to high school down the street and would come here after class. So good
That looks like a great way to end a night of drinking in Miami and I'm a veg head.
This place in Miami, FL is a rarity. Way too many fast food places are completely devoid of any personality or "soul". Helping the community where you get your business was priceless. Miami certainly gets its share of Hurricanes like any community along the coastal areas of this Nation.
Love the kid in the back who obviously had too much soda and the ma'am rockin two pairs of glasses
So did the series get cancelled? Haven't seen or heard anything in a while.
Was about to comment the same thing. Lucas had a whole vibe. Loved how the dude presented the show.
He has a new show, it's called Off Menu.
yea Lucas works for the la times now and he has another show there
I'm a Cuban American, grew up in Miami, didn't like the last video. I will keep my reasons to myself. This one you NAILED Arbetter's is totally non-touristy and I have been going there for more than 30 years. Good Job
I'm visiting Miami this weekend. Any suggestions on what to eat there? I want a local's opinion, not Yelp's. Thanks in advance!
aigoochamnaa where are you going to stay? Miami is geographically odd
Robert Rico Miami Beach
Robert Rico willing to travel for good food tho! ;)
Why didn't you like the last video..you can tell me
You know the place is chill when they serve things on paper plates.
Lucas, you've gotta make your way to Birmingham, AL. I think you'll be happily surprised by the food scene.
Arbetter's is awesome ! Used to got there all the time in high school, Southwest Eagles baby !
You should get a Miami local to show you guys around. What is this?
they have been doing this at Rutt's Hut in NJ for many years, they call it the Ripper
A student in my former special education program is originally from Boston. My siblings are from Boston but not exactly. They were born in a suburb.
This looks amazing
was the crunch concussive?
It was the platonic ideal.
I always thought rippers were first created and made famous at Rutt’s Hut in New Jersey?
He's the BEST host on this channel. DEFINITELY. :D
Every neighborhood needs a place like this :-)
I love how he used the fry scoop and used the back end instead of the purposed mouth
The corn dogs are the best, they aren’t frozen they make the batter there AMAZING
Lived in South Florida for 30 years...never heard of this place...????
Me neither! Or this neighborhood. 🤷
What's the chili on the chili dog like? I've found there are some regional variations (seeing as this one is not canned). Sweet, tangy, spicy, simply meaty? Just curious.
Thanks to the joint's restaurateur for moving to Miami, FL, to avoid the crazy deep blizzards that hinder commutes!
Lucas is looking like he's been eating a lot of them Miami Bad Boys
Like home. Just read that my favourite Greek souvlaki place that's been here since the 80s has closed down.
I just remembered that Dining on a Dime is no more, and now watching this has a much more somber tone.
I'm going to Miami tomorrow; will definitely stop here.
Rutts hut bite off smart move
The way this man walks...I just can’t...
I came early, I respected the video and watched it first. Now I'm commenting.
That lady at 4:50 really likes eye glasses!
They call em a ripper cause you rip one in your pants after eating one
Does it crack the toilet bowl?
A fried-dog joint would go over huge in Tokyo. They should open here.
im from miami i have never eaten that in my life
Lucas moves his hands like a sweet fella..
I love onion rings. . .but they give you so little in a non-fast food restaurant. I remember going one place it cost me $6 (USD) and I got like 6 onion rings. . .big ones with real onions but only 6 :( I wish I was good a making fried foods but I not.
Why is she wearin 2 glasses
She forgot where she left them, and got another set. Still looking for the old ones
maybe one is for reading
She's woke
OG bifocals
She took the four eyes insult literally
I assumed when I saw the title that the deep fried were the way that we do them in Aust dipped in batter and deep fried.
Doesn't the lady Lucas is talking to while eating chili dogs sound like Sandra Bullock? Lol
Isn't this a NJ thing?
Wait what? “There are people here who’s know my family since the 30s.” His father opened the place, how old is this guy?
his whole family... as in his mother and father
That woman's husband was a Dad before he got married...
Gonna check this place out.
The Arebetters is in Cocoa and I love it! live about a mile away and we try to go about twice a month. :-)
I want to see that out-take show.
You should visit Frankie's Pizza. It's just down the road and as big if not bigger in the community as Arbetters. Best pizza in Miami. Get it with pepperoni only.
Not even close as one of the best pizza in Miami. You're better off going to lucali's for pizza which is the best in Miami
Can’t agree with Frankie’s being the best pizza but I do love it 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Hype2431 mister 01's star luca pizza is better than lucali.
It’s not located in Miami
Frankie's is trash. The only reason people hype it up is because of nostalgia. Those pre-baked pizzas are garbage. Leo's on Coral Way shits on Frankie's.
Best hot dog on the planet by far. You won’t know until you try it.
rich in friendship with lots of tender loving sodium
Well he was honest! Lol
Westchester isn’t a neighborhood in *Miami, it’s practically it’s own city-community and is located south of Sweetwater (a city) and west of West Miami* (another city). As a born and raised resident of the *actual city of Miami* it’s tiring hearing tourists call every place south of county line road Miami. It’s ignorant and drastically undercuts the actual people who live there and takes away from what business they’d have to promote. My family has been here since the 30s.
💯💯💯💯💯
My good friends got engaged here at arbetters
NJ had the best hot dogs in the 50s and 60s. Still got great pizza.
Still has the best hotdogs too
Thought you would def be in north jersey for this video
Lmao my family and me have been frying hotdogs since we first saw a sausage.
It’s called a ripper!
Arbetter's is the spot.
6:18 jeremy irons wasnt the critic in ratatouille, Lucas lacking in the movie trivia dept =)
Fried hotdogs are a jersey sure thing. I’m sure the people that left here and went there what it along with them.
Violet Martinez you can't claim food, especially something easy as a fried dog..
wobblegook Lol joke’s on you. The only hot dog I claim is a Nathan’s hot dog from Brooklyn. That’s what I was raised on and that’s what I still eat.
I agree. I saw the title and thought he was in north jersey
STEEZ you know what I’m sayin! 973 stand up. If you know Rutt Hut you know anout Hersey’s love of fried hot dogs. I think I live here 15 years before I’d let my Mathan’s Jones die, and my bff took me to that place.
Violet Martinez I’m from Elizabeth aka the wick
right next to my house love it!
Lucky ass
the lady turned arnold for a moment
Magic Johnson fans pay the 25 cent for refills lol
No one gonna mention the double glasses?
Dragon4eva glad I wasnt the only one who noticed
Dragon4eva third one is hanging around her neck and fourth is in her purse 😁
I was wondering if one thing her husband ask her is why she wears two sets of glasses.
My first hotdog was at the swap shop lol
how many thousands of kcal
They were playing cards in the back and didn’t even clean the kitchen lol wow
Wade 1 pick up a mop, bro.
you don’t clean the kitchen until closing time
It wasn't closing time lmao
A boiled hot dog with mustard, relish, and onions is the only way to eat a hot dog in New England. It must be served on a toasted New England bun. But, that's just us.
You are my hero!
OMG! My mouth is watering for a hot dog combo (dog/cheese fries/drink) now!!! 🌭🍟😉 Yum! 😍😍🌭 #hotdogluv #RichinFriendship
"Two napkins is plenty."
Looks delisouis
Lucas stopped listening to the bald dude after he took that first sip of that cup full of tonka vodka..
Waiting for Lucas to comment on this video 😀
The critic was voiced by Peter O’Toole
White Sox!!! South Side Pride!!!
I never really liked hot dogs so i can't comment on quality, only been there once
Best host
Gotta go to the cubs game not white Sox Lucas!
There's a Westchester in NYC!
Where? In the Bronx. Named after a settler who lived there and was born in Denmark, the official home of LEGO. The architecture industry's favourite toy company. Let's build together!
love lucas :*
Why that nice lady got two pairs of glasses?
+Artsee Some people have separate reading glasses instead of bifocals.
“He’s been running this place for the better part of a decade.”
“People have been coming here for decades and decades”
yo i feel like camerca man wanted to film them two girls more then lucas lol
Deep fried GLIZZY
i want it,
i need it
Same owner as the one in Cocoa, FL?
Where is this guy?
Go to Roll N Roaster in Brooklyn
I love hotdogssss!!!!!
Ive not had a hot dog in... years :(
You don't get this scenario anymore? You're telling me relationships with customers doesnt happen anymore?
Why do middle aged people always live in their little bubble of "the good old days is when everything was good and now everyone is mean and antisocial" its the opposite of the truth
Yep :) And I hate to say it, but usually they're speaking from a place a lot of us wouldn't know. Oh, so the good old days were great, when I couldn't have eaten at some of these places because I'm not white. So yeah...they were great for some of ya!
o my god those fries 😋
