Worked exactly how the video said! I watched it completely through, and then went out and did it. The whole thing, done and back here typing, in less time than the instruction video took to complete!! Bravo!
Video worked great. I had trouble figuring out the fuse diagram in the owners manual. I think the manual had that spot labeled A/C inverter. If it wasn’t for this video I don’t think I’d find it. So this was a major help. Thank you.
Thank you for the great demo! I blew mine last power outage we had in Michigan and I'll need it to get work done on outage number 2 this week. Thank you!!!
Thanks so much. This worked perfectly for my 2015 Suburban three-pronged outlet located on the back side of the console on the rear climate control panel. Should have seen this first. I looked at the manual and the map did not seem to match the panels. It was also confusing because this car has so many different power outlet that finding it in the manual was time consuming and confusing. You solved my problem in a minute. THANKS!!
I was able to pull my left side off by hand yesterday but still had to pry my right side off. Only to find out that I needed to get to the fuse panel under the hood :(. Glad this was useful James!!
Yeah, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE! the USB ports! I have two 128gb thumb drives plugged in with over 22,000 songs on them - I keep 'em on shuffle, and never know what's coming next. Have a friend that collects music, and he's hooked me up with an INSANE amount of rock and blues. Always hearing something new.
I like the truck in general and I’ve been a Chevy guy all my life. I wish they would catch up on the tech stuff though. I have used the memory card with music in it but not a usb. It gets the music off my phone also. I guess you can’t have everything 😀.
It does not do well with running larger devices. I would say if you are trying to run a house sweeper it will not work. I guess you can try it and see what happens.
Do you know witch fuse is for the cigarette litter I have 2 in the front 1 in back and all 3 not working I have a 2014 Chavy Silverado LTZ Any help I would greatly appreciate it
@@TSWGarage614 I finally got it ! It was the 15 fuse on the driver side door panel and that was for the cigarette lighter fuse for those who don’t no what we’re talking about And it’s For a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ
The light will not be on until you have something plugged in (well that is how mine works). I really did not test anything. Checking the fuse was my go to thing to do. It is pretty easy to check the fuse.
@@lunajohn83 This is a thread from 2017 but may help. Seems like it is easy to change out the plug and transformer, seems cheap also. www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/206886-2014-sierra-ac-outlet/#comments
Yes, 2015 is the same fuse. 25a fuse in slot #35 on the passenger side. Same as the video. Unfortunately for me, the fuse was intact so I'm still troubleshooting LOL
This is a great video but do you know which fuse this would be in a 2016 and up Chevrolet Express? Cause the interior plug-in mine is not working like yours isn't and I can't seem to locate which exact fuse it is.
Exactly the problem I have seen so many videos and they were always the routing to the big 20 a breaker fuse and it wasn’t that it was the 25 amp regular fuse
My outlet doesn't work, checked the fuse per this video and it's fine. Guess I get to take it to the dealer and sit in the waiting room for a few hours. At least I bought a service package to cover piddly little things like this.
@@roninselman6772 ikr. Not sure why they even put it in there when all you can do is charge a phone. Heck my iPad does not really charge. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t. GM is far behind the rest on technology which is sad.

Fuses can be blown even if they don't look like it or a faulty fuse all together. If you've replaced it with a new fuse and it did not resolve your issue then the issue is somewhere else.

Thanks for helping find the fuse location I changed fuse out and tested has power on both sides but 110 outlet still doesn't work😢
Take a multi meter and perform a continuity check

Cristian Guzman you’re welcome. Glad this has helped out!!
Is there another fuse I have changed that fuse still nothing
But what was blowing the fuse??
Me trying to run a sawzall was why mine blew. Absolutely never should have done that.
My fuse blows out instantly after replacing it. What could cause that?
Maybe a bad plug or a short in a wire.
Do you know witch fuse is for the cigarette litter I have 2 in the front 1 in back and all 3 not working I have a 2014 Chavy Silverado LTZ Any help I would greatly appreciate it
I’ll look when I go back out. I think it is in the drivers side fuse panel. Maybe a 50 amp fuse. But I’m just guessing.

Hey man where can I find this fuse????
Like the actual fuse? I got mine from the local auto parts store. Sometimes there are extras in one of the fuse panel covers.
I tried this but as soon as i connect something the fuse popped again
I don't know what would cause that other than overloading the circuit. Maybe the plug itself is bad?
What is the correct name for this device?
Didn’t work for me any advice?
1 should the light be one even if nothing is plugged in and 2 can you please explain how you tested for the short. I'm clueless

Question... I have a 2015 Silverado except I don’t have the center consul. Is it the same fuse number and location?
I honestly don't know but I would start there. I would think it would still be a 20 fuse. Should only take a few minutes to find out.

@@Collinbrekke Yes, it was the transformer unit under the dash. Power to it, nothing out of it.
I have a 2017 LT and my fuse keeps burning every time i change it.
I’ve heard a bad plug or maybe a shirt in the wiring could cause it. Maybe someone can comment on this if they had the issue and fixed it.

That was supposed to say short in the wiring not shirt :D. But you are welcome.
Thank very much..

Mine burns out the fuse as soon as I replace it. Any ideas why? Only thing I plugged in was a phone charger
I would say either the plug itself is messed up or there is a short in the wiring somewhere. But those are guesses.
maybe the power inverter under the dash above the gas pedal.
Mine blows the fuse right away too did you figure anything out
This didn’t work for me any other suggestion ?

Still did not answer my question. I wanted to know why my cigarette lighter termsnals have no power and all the fuses are good on my 2008 Silverado.
I have to in just my opinion say it just a thing cause the same thing happen to mine and could never figure it out

What was the issue with yours? I just did the same thing and it didn’t fix mine either
User error, apparently. Works just fine with my phone charger, but nothing that needs any real power. Guess I was expecting too much from it.
Yeah, you would think that it would be more useful. Sadly it really is not.
Is it too much to ask for the ability to run a small Shop Vac? I tried mine, and it killed it instantly!

Same thing for me. The fuse did not appear to be blown. Not the one under the hood or the one under the driver side dash

Switched mine out then it blew again right away
Alberto Garcia same how do I fix that
If that would have happened to me I would be tracing wires to see if there was a short in the wiring.
I ended up taking it to the dealer. I’ll have to see if I still have the paperwork on what they switched out.
Yeah, it would be nice to know what they did to fix the issue. Thanks Alberto
They replaced the outlet and AC/DC invertor
Thankyou
