Hello everyone, thank you all for the lovely comments! I just need to clarify that my mother is all well and happy. The reason this dolls house is no more is because she bought three new (well antique dolls houses) which she has divided the contents of this house in to. This house was then gifted to a little girl but with no contents. We will be showing a brief glimpse of the new houses soon and hopefully filming some more in depth tours as well. Phew that was a bit complicated to explain! Thank you all again for your support :) x

Love the tour. The world of miniatures is so fascinating. I am 61 yrs old and never had a dollhouse but remember making cardboard box ones as a child. You have inspired me to make one again. Will be using a wooden wine crate and upcycling items to construct the interior. Thanks for the inspiration.

Here in the States, we'd call the mirrored cabinet a curio cabinet. The American piece of furniture in the kitchen is called a highboy. I love this dolls house,it’s unique,actually!And,I just love how those door’s open up like a closet,or French doors of a house!My dad made a room box 📦 that was supposed to be built as extra boxes,but it never happened.I guess,he didn’t have any more time to do this?So…..I guess,I’ll have to be happy with just one room box?Which is okay!Because,it took me year’s to get furniture,and clothing in the(castle)miniature!

Some of the most beautiful pieces in my collection of Native American jewelry come from junk shops. At 14 ( ow 72) I used my allowance to buy a set of hand made silver bench beads…spent all I had saved, a whole dollar.

I went to Brige North where there as an iron works and got a miniature anvil there. Could make a blacksmiths shop. So the grinding stone appealed to me.

I don't know how you were able to split that beautiful house up. I'm sure it wasn't easy. I loved all the items inside the house and the way it was added to, with your mums skills and yours too Fleur. A very talented youngster you were and still are. There are so many treasures in this house. Dollhouses are like memory keepers the way that each item has a story attached and a reminder of the dear person who gifted some of the treasures. The rocking horse is so wonderful and dear.
