The graffiti got cleaned up. I remember I had to go through Overtown circa 2006 to go see my father in the hospital which is near the area and I could not believe how bad OT looked back then. They definitely cleaned the place up.
What u cant see is the bullet holes in all the buildings in Miami.. Its the people and what goes down there that makes it what it is. In Miami they cover up the crime rate for tourist dollars. Wanna see the real Miami look up dade county on here. Its no joke. Can u handle it? Not everyone will be able to watch it long I promise.

Long-term strategy …developers are standing by within the next 3 to 5 years of poor people won’t be able to afford this area it’s going to turn into a nice playground for the upper middle class!
They are not abandoned. Black people are being forced out of these areas. The fences let you know that corporations/investors have moved in on the area. High rises will replace these slums.

The residents were relocated to other sections of the city and developers have already began construction on high rises, condos and shopping districts in these vacated areas. The game is simple, either step your cash game up and roll with gentrification, or gentrification will roll right over you. In the game of life the weak are cast aside to make room for the strong. Your only choice is to become mentally & financially strong so you are not swallowed up along with the weaker minded. We live in the information age so you are without excuse. Yes Overtown is going to be the next expensive gentrified area of the city. It's proximity to Downtown, Wynwood, the airport, I-95, and the beach are making it very attractive to developers. In essence, people got pushed out of the area.
I was recently out at Woodfield Mall, and let me tell you, I’ve never saw so many gay/trans 🏳️⚧️ black men, and you could tell love was in the air. How wonderful to see these young black kings coming out, not afraid to show their sexuality for the same sex. Love is love embrace it❤️ 🌈 🏳️⚧️
