Great father/son adventure. Ultimate sacrifice, freezing in the tent while son stayed toasty in the hammock. Sorry about the casualty, that was a great looking foodbag.
That Ramen and Meatballs looks good, I am going to have try that. Turns out my oldest daughter loves sleeping in the hammock, I not as good of a dad and was not willing to go to the ground so I had to buy a 2nd hammock.
Haven’t tried the Mango Doritos but I bought the Tangy Pickle this week and I’d buy them again lol Love freeze dried candy!! My brother bought the machine awhile back and we have had a blast trying different candy in that thing…also been making our own backpacking meals with it… nice to control the sodium levels and use good quality ingredients! Happy Hiking guys!
I kinda liked the Fiery Mango Doritos. Too much zip for a trail snack, though. I hadn't ever seen the wipe hydration hack before. Gonna use that on my next trip
@@BackpackingwithBuckley cheers Tim, will have to catch up on your videos you know what it’s like, life gets in the way of catching up on all our favourite UA-cam channels 😁👍
Nice to see you out with your son. I ate a lot of dried stuff on my attempted AT thruhike last year, but I would rather blow my budget on a bunk at least once a week, and beer and "town food" than freeze-dried luxury snacks. The meatballs look good, though, even though the sauce was extra water weight. A thousand mile walk is a lot different than a weekend destination hike, though, so, different priorities. The loss of your food bag was a big disappointment, for sure. I'm 2 months into breaking in my new knee and PT is getting seriously painful, but regaining range of motion and strength are worth it, if I can get back on the trail. Take care, bro! 👊✌️
Whoa! Talk about the ultimate sacrifice! Is there no end to a father’s love? Can’t beat time out with a son. Best, Pete
You get it, Pete. Lol. Thanks buddy!

I'll patch up the bag good as almost new! I have to keep the kids happy so they let me drag them out again. Lol. Hope you're doing well, Doc!
Con toda la actitud
Thanks bud!
Awesome that you got your son out for an adventure!
I usually drag him out a few times a year. Lol
Great adventure for a lot of folks. Take care
Thanks Tressa! Hope you are well!
Wonderful video, nice spot and good trip, thanks for sharing👍
Thanks for checking it out!

I may have to get another hammock someday too. Thanks Maxx!
Looked like a good trip. I am thinking backpacking cook off in September when I come out there.
I'm down!
Ramen and meatballs.. I need to try that. Looked pretty good. Thanks for the video brother
It was pretty legit I must say!

Thanks Kristal! You're correct....dehydrated candy is where its at!
That hurts to see the damage that the mouse caused! Dyneema ain't cheap! Thanks for the video and food ideas
It was my mistake to leave it on the ground. But ouch is right!

Those wipes are sweet (unless you forget to bring water on your poop). Haha
Looked like a fun trip. I gotta try the skittles.
They exceeded expectations for sure!
fun trip for sure!! some great camping there.
I'm pretty lucky to be so close by. Hope you're doing well my friend!
Dang! Chewed up your killer food bag. It’s good to see you out with your son. Father’s Day?✌️
I'll patch it and hope that Ben is nice enough to send me a new one someday! Lol
Lovely upload my friend 👏👏
Thanks!
if you haven't had the classic Ramen Bomb I totally recommend it.Awesome video too.
Of course I've had a classic Ramen bomb, Boop!
That tarp! Genius, lol. Great video. Gotta try the meatball dish.
Which tarp did you mean? The meatballs are like a cross between Subway and Chef Boyardee.....so not too bad!
Nice one Tim, out of all the food the meatballs looked the best 😁👍 not sure about mango Doritos though ATB Mark & Simon 👍
Good to hear from you fellas! The meatballs will be a cheap way to eat for sure!

@Twin_Peaks_Outdoors no worries my friend! I go off grid for youtube for MONTHS sometimes.
Thanks for the reviews! Did I miss where you were hiking at?
We were put around Sheridan Lake in the Black Hills.
Very odd combos have you tried the Mexican shelf stable in a bag food?
The taco meat is also decent!
I gotta try that skittles. Where did you get them?
I got them online. Can't recall the company but I mentioned it in the video I think. Crunch something....lol.
That's really cool and great sharing backpacks
Thank you 🤗
How did I miss this video? My best bud never even mentioned any of this.
Well, it's been a long couple weeks bid. We haven't caught up!

Thanks Daniel. It's good to hear you're on the mend. Keep moving forward pal!
Time for a new bag from Ben.
It is indeed. For now....a patch! Lol
This made us hungry! 😋. Although we are with Sam on the saltwater taffy 🤢. The rest looked delicious though. Nice to see you get out with your son 😊👌
Taffy is a love/hate candy choice!
Turns out rodents also like DCF😂
I guess they do!
