@@jasminewalker3522 - NO, they don't. Since the vast majority of BW are medium to dark-skinned, it wouldn't even make sense to feel threatened; just about every fully Black family has a range of hues. What I DO see in Black media is the indulgence of DSBW's abuse of LSBW, in the same way that DSBM are allowed to make disparaging remarks to their "light, bright" counterparts. It all smacks of not being grateful to GOD for His creativity being on full display through the features He gave us. As I said before, ALL BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL. We reflect God's highest craftmanship.

Love your videos! Thank you for waking us up and bringing the truth!Everyone has a preference, and I respect whatever that is. In my humble opinion, black people should stay within their own race, and not white ourselves out. I love all shades of men, as long as they are BLACK. :) The "Willie Lynch letter, " (Google it if you haven't already) perhaps is the culprit for this mindset and the reason why black people engage in colorism. He created a method to control the slaves, and the sad part about his letter is, he said that the method was simple and would cause them to be self-refueuling and self-generating for maybe thousands of years. He controlled his slaves's mindset by dividing them up according to skin color of their skin, hair texture, intelligence, height, weight, etc. He created this narrative and thought process, kept the lighter skinned Slaves in the house and put the darker slaves in the fields, in effort to cause division among the slaves, so that they they will not come together. (As they say "United we stand, divided we fall.") This mindset worked back then, and still stands to this very day! I have never heard a white person state " I prefer whiter women/men, or yellower, more olive color looking white women/men. We are the only people that do this. My siblings are dark, light, and in between. Our mother didn't bring to our attention the shade of our skin. ( may she rest in peace.) I married a dark skinned man, and have 2 children. One of my children is dark skinned, the other light, both are absolutely beautiful because they are black, and come from Royalty above. "Our heavenly father. " We are a special people, The Most High's chosen, whom is Black according to scripture. Melonin is a wonderful gift. We are truly blessed and need to continue to come together to lift up one another.
Peace and much love to all my beautiful melonated black brothers and sistas always!. 😊💖

What u said, is so true and stop caring about what someone else thinks about your color, U do you and learn to love yourself. I just came across your video and I have to say U are a very, very, very handsome young man, beautiful skin and features and a Beautiful Chocolate. I came from a family of 8 children ( 5 girls and 3 boys ) I was the darkest of the girls but I to had to learn to love my dark chocolate coloring and I eventually did because I know who I am. A lot of my friends called me Black Beauty and my daughter is dark skin tone about 2 shades lighter then me and I had to keep telling her your skin shade is Beautiful and help her build up her self esteem. She would always want to wear dark colors and I would tell her stop wearing those dark colors and wear those beautiful bright colors because we can wear almost any color. Finally now she heard what I've said to her and her self esteem has greatly improved. Thank U for lifting up our dark skinned sisters.

I adore black men of all shades but as a dark skinned woman I had really painful experiences with people teasing me and looking down on me because of my complexion. I still struggle with low self esteem even though as an adult I get called beautiful by quite a few men. I realized I still had trauma in this area when I wouldn't even allow myself to like lightskin guys because I felt like they wouldn't want me because I'm too dark. The weird thing is I've had some gorgeous guys light and dark skinned that liked me but I just wrote it off.
I'm still working on reminding myself on who God says I am so it doesn"t matter what other people think or say.

Some times its a front for black men to get with light skinned women. I say that because a couple guys actually had the nerve to tell me they like me, but Im too dark. Self hate is a real thing that they reflect onto the dark skin woman. It's also pressure from black friends and family if a black man is seen with a dark skin woman, they will question him and ask him why. I have experienced all of this at the time I was young and couldn't understand it. It amazes me how this happened when dark skin is how we even exist. Its sad and sick.
