Great video. Did you have to use the big metal spacers on the front mounting location?
Thank you for watching! To be quite honest I don’t remember exactly if I used it or not. But I’m leaning towards that I did use them most likely. It’s been about two years since I installed it. Thus, it’s kind of hard to recall those details now unfortunately. Sorry.😊
You want to use the spacers or the sucker will rattle eventually
Love you man. I bought mine and I watched a different video it didn’t saying anything about these screws to come out I thought they send me the wrong skit plat
😊 No worries. Glad my video was helpful. Thanks for your feedback!
I believe that previous generation of TRD Skid Plate doesn't have the oil filter access however, the 23' TRD PRO Skid Plate has it. May I get the part number for this? Thank you!
Hi. You’re correct. Unlike, Toyota Tacoma skid plate there’s at least 3 if not more versions of 4Runner TRD skid plates available in the market. Built quality and overall feel of the material of this skid plate is identical to what’s installed on my Tacoma too. Anyhow, the one that I got for our 4Runner is the following one:

Let me know if you have any questions. Have a happy holidays!
You removed six bolts but only put the four back in?
You only need to remove 4️⃣ out of 6️⃣ bolts that are attached to the bracket and hold the OEM skid plate. And you will use those 4️⃣ bolts to install the TRD skid plate. In other words, you don’t remove all 6️⃣ of those bolts, only 4️⃣ of them need to be removed. Hope this helps.
Hi is this skid plate from Car Trim Home? Because it has the oil filter access plate. Just asking because I bought one today. Thanks
Hello. We bought this skid plate from our local Toyota dealership. It was already in stock available, so we went ahead and purchased it. My Tacoma TRD skid plate has the same type of cut out plate located in the middle of the skid plate to access oil filter and the oil drain plug. Hope this helps. Cheers!
@@SOBIsHobbies Got it. Just wondering since you have the same skid plate with your Tacoma is it easy to have the oil filter change? Do you have enough room?
I’ll be honest with you I haven’t tried changing the oil myself yet. Since I had a Toyota Care plan included to my purchase plan I normally get my oil change done at our local Toyota dealership. Sorry, I couldn’t be much help on that end.
No worries. Thank you. More power to your channel.
@@techiemarksman thank you very much!! Have a great holidays!!
Does your 4Runner have KDSS? I've heard the TRD Pro skid plate does not fit if you have KDSS.
Hi. No, our 4Runner does not have KDSS suspension. I believe you’re correct, if your 4Runner came with KDSS suspension then unfortunately you most likely won’t be able to install this skid plate.
How long did shipping take
About a week, I think. Sorry, don’t exactly remember but it wasn’t terribly bad.
