Yeah, only downside to this skid plate
Get the Carithome OEM skid plate, it has a oil filter cap that you can take off, without having to take off the skid plate.
Ya'll know what the torque spec is for the bolts that hold the skid plate in place?

I have a SR5 2021 does that one comes with KDSS?? I wanna buy it, on your page but I have not idea and I can’t check it because I’m out of town! So before I buy it I want to be sure thanks
Hey Jose. I couldn't tell you if it has KDSS or not with out seeing it. Take a look at your front sway bar. If it bolted directly to the bottom of your frame then you do not have KDSS. If your sway bar is dropped down about 4-5" then you have KDSS.
Hey, I'm wondering where you all are located? So when I took my gen5 toyota to an oil change place, and they've stripped a bolt out on the bolt that holds my aluminum skid plate. Now I am trying to figure out how to take the bolt off. Please help.

Yes, according to Apex it will fit.
For some reason the bolts that came with the skid plate are not screwing into my frame. They’re too big any suggestions?
The TRD skid plate bolts are bigger than the regular skid plate. They bolt in to different holes.
The TRD skid plate doesn't bolt into the same holes as the stock skid plate. The stock bolts are 12mm and the TRD bolts are 14mm. Gotta unscrew 4 more bolts once the stock skid plate is removed. They don't mention this in the video.

What are the 4 screw on the bottom for?
The 4 screws on the bottom hold a re-enforcement piece for the jacking point.

Nope. Will work perfectly fine on a lifted 4runner

I don't know if they all do but the 4Runner, yes. The spacers come with it.

My rear bolts were super long so I used the original bolts it came with, would that be an issue?
As long as everything is bolted up you should be fine. But if I remember correctly the OEM skid plate takes m8 bolts and the TRD skid plate requires m10.
are the plate come with the m10 bolts?
I installed a OEM Pro skid plate today to my non-Pro 4Runner and had this issue. I used the original bolts but wonder if I should tap so that the supplied bolts will work? I saw another video where the guy used a M10-1.25 tap to make the supplied bolts work. I just wonder if this is necessary?

It does not. If you want something to cover your cats then look at the skid plates from C4 on our website.

You can but modification to the skid plate is required.

Does it Fit a 2012 Toyota 4Runner Limited?
Yes, you just need to know if you have KDSS or not and select in our drop down. We modify the skid plate in house to fit KDSS.
If I do a 1” diff drop, will the diff touch the plate?
Yes it will. You will have to add additional spacers to the skid plate and 2 longer bolts.
@@yotaxpeditionthis guy asked my question for me, I have a 1inch diff drop and the rear bolts don’t fit and are to short. Do you guys sell extended bolts and spacers? I tried looking at Home Depot but no luck.

Unfortunately no, I do believe you have to remove the skid plate to get to the oil filter.
