I bought my BeatBass a couple of years ago and I like it very much....nice looking bass, comfortable neck to play, and gets that great vintage sound.....a really fun bass to play!
Hoping for the day that Harley Benton will release a 'Cavern' variation of the Beatbass (the one with the bridge pickup closer to the neck pickup). I'd choose it over the Höfner any time at all 👌
I used to have one of these. It offers some really cool and unique sounds. But be aware of the crazy neck dive! I had to sell it again because it was so uncomfortable to play for me.
It's not bad. I have the TOKAI version, and it is more like the vintage HOFNER spec. The neck is much narrower at the nut. Really skinny, just makes it so EASY to play all night! Neck is U shaped!

I just got mine a couple of weeks ago. I like playing it. The only thing I don't like is the neck dive. I wish HB would do a version of the Hofner Club bass, basically the same bass with a more ergonomic body, and, I would hope, less neck dive. Are you using flats or rounds? I'm seeking some black tape strings, but they are rare and expensive. Oh yeah, the sunburst finish on this bass is nicer than the finish on the other 'viola' style basses, including Hofner.

Lovely looking and sounding bass. Favourite Beatles song ? Blimey. That is almost impossible. If pushed, it would either be SOMETHING or HERE COMES THE SUN, both George Harrison penned songs. I honestly think he was, generally, underrated as a songwriter, living in the shadows of John and Paul ( and they were incredible ) BUT for me, there was something so pure and honest about George's songs. I also feel that George wrote the best songs post break up ( MY SWEET LORD is, in my opinion, one of the greatest songs ever written - in fact, the whole ALL THINGS MUST PASS album is very special ) I am sure plenty will disagree with me, and it says so much about how brilliant these lads were that there are so many contenders.
@@foxmulder5780 easier to get started, my first bass was a fretless and I swapped it for a fretted one. After 12 years of playing I got the fretless version of this Beatbass and have no problem playing it now, but when I was a beginner, I'd say it would have been a no go
Beat bass, no chin rest and it seems to flat a radius to efficiency use the bow,, oh wait ... someone forgot the els or there wasn’t room to fit it all on the headstock. I guess everybody’s got something to hide except me and my 🐒
I had this bass. A total crap...light as a feather, sound very very weak (I needed a preamp + a proper amp to hear something), and a factory error (they inverted the two tone buttons in the middle). DON'T EVER BUY IT.

That neck pickup is buzzing quite badly, it may have been the treble switch at fault though, not my thing though!

lets just don't ignore that the varnish in this is a very very poor quality thin layer. Besides that... it sounds good!
