NICK if you want to be a great journalist then you need to educate as you report. So learn and educate your subscribers and audience please. Define what a Asylum seeker is and Refugee please. Your a young man and now is the time for you to be great as journalist or just like many others and won't stand out as being really great and food at this job. Hope you think about what I am sharing with you and think about the education part of journalism . Its also not just the drug cartels its many NGOs that have been encouraging,paying, all the illegals immigrants . You will see Red Cross giving out blankets, food, etc. Catholic Charities (which has been bringing in illegals since at least the 1960s with Cubans) googlw the top 100 non government organizations that are very involved in this and also receive tax payer funds, donations, etc. Also research all the benefits, financial assistance for illegal immigration compared to legal immigrants ,immigration. Again you can have a few journalism storys on this and education to make a big name for yourself and work. Also try and interview men Michael Yon and or Doc Chambers. Many blessing and prayers for protection.

I saw a migrant woman in NYC being interviewed. She is here with no passport. She walked into the USA with no passport and no ID. And now she is pissed off that people are asking her for ID. This situation is insane.
They bury their ID at the border before they cross. That way, no one can find out who they really are and find out they are lying about their situation.

I'm a legal immigrant from Colombia, my family and I came here legally when I was barely 3 years old and I'm a citizen along with the rest of my family. It makes me so mad that people think its okay to break the law to get into this country, even with the best of intentions. Most of these illegals are economic migrants and not actual refugees. I feel very little pitty for these immigrants who break the law to get in here, because if they're willing to break the law to do this they are willing to break it to receive more.
Less for us. Less for Americans. Finding affordable housing while competing with illegals is not right at all.
They do not look like they are starving!

While I do feel for these folks, just walking into a country and saying we need help….by the millions….is not sustainable. Everyone talks of the immigration in the 1800s-early 1900s….but the difference was, there wasn’t welfare. You came here with a few dollars…..you figure it out pretty quick. There wasn’t housing, food stamps, free cell phones, medical assistance, etc. I’m fine with immigration…..but in an organized fashion. And how is this fair to the people who have been legally waiting to come to the US?

My grandparents came over the Canadian border Legally. They learned to speak English and became citizens. My other grandparents came over from Ireland Legally and became citizens. We have to have standards who, what, and how many can come into our country.
@TheGarbear14 well my parents came with my sister and myself here legally in the 90's. They came here literally with $100 in their pocket. They didn't get any government support, Healthcare help, housing or even free airfare. What they got was 2 jobs 16-18 hours a day.

Me as a legal immigrant this is not fair for the rest who’s looking for a better opportunity in the US by the legal way my process took so many years and these people just cross the border asking for help, no one helped me when I got here and yet I still made it.

I’ve been trying to cross legally. It’s been 6 years already and still in the process and it’s so annoying to see how these clowns as poor as me just go and no one is stopping them. Makes me re-think if I’m doing right. My cousin and neighbors crossed 4 years ago, one day they woke up and decided they wanted to cross, he still doesn’t speak English, didn’t even finish high school and is construction supervisor already, drives a nice truck. I worked so hard to go to public college here, studied for the STEM exam so I could apply for visa TN as engineer, I speak english perfectly, I’m now a mech engineer, I even became a christian on my way to learn the culture 😂 and a couple american companies want to sponsor me, visa interview is set till 2026 tho. Makes me think the only idiot is me for not taking the chance with Biden in charge and cross the boarder. Only rich and accommodated friends can cross legally since they have had visa as kids due to mommy and daddy. There’s no room in the club for poor people to do it legally.
Do it right. If you get there with a job already ot does not matter if it's in 2 years or 5 you will be above all of them. They will still be illegal.

@proyectosadrian1 I understand how you feel. What is happening is all wrong, but, my bet is, they will all be sent back and tracked and be the last ones coming in after that.
Our system works, but, there is a reason why they let the masses in, vs letting those who work real hard come in the right way.. You would vote like the rest of us who work, not the ones they control on welfare, etc.. Save up some money, start putting applications in, but, in your correspondence, say you do not have a green card, but, would work very hard and be appreciative and loyal to be sponsored and just want a start.. Send an MP3 with your voice on it. Read your Resume on it and let them know you know English well.
Right now, I would hire someone like you before I would hire someone that has been here on government assistance. I know many other businessmen like me would do the same.
I actually bought a Spanish Course and was going to backward engineer it to teach English myself, but, can't quite find the time to do it.
It is going to take me a while longer, but, I want to get a place in Mexico and hire a family there to weld/fit, etc, and have some acreage there to grow fruits/vegetables, beef/pork/rabbits/chickens, etc and split it on halves. I just have to set things up here, learn Spanish myself before I do it. I figure IF I go to someone else's land, I should learn their language..
Good Luck.. I wish I needed an Engineer!! I am pretty sure if a Company sponsors you, they can get an exception or help you to get a visa.. I know that Rafting Companies hire people for the Summers here in the USA, and paid them.

Did you hear food stamps went up so a lot more lazy people will have plenty more money on their cards. I cut down on every thing, including credit cards, pay most things with cash, no cable TV, so now I work 40 hours and don't take overtime so I am fine with what I bring home after taxes so less of my money is going to pay for lazy people.

My parents who are US citizens and I help whenever we can. My Peruvian father and Ecuadorian mother , they say, well they need to come here legally. I feel the same way. This is absurd. I wish someone would ask them, what do they think American citizens think when they turn on the TV and see mostly men flooding into the country, many expecting many things paid by tax payers? Did they consider that at all or were they just thinking of themselves and expecting a neutral, passive American population?

No offense, but as someone who’s hiked hundreds of miles throughout AZ and NM on long distance trails.
These people absolutely did NOT walk for days or weeks. Clothing/shoe cleanliness, demeanor and energy levels show the complete opposite.
I’m assuming they flew into a hub near the border and walked for, at most, an hour or two.
A lot of them are flying into Mexico City and joining the caravans soon after. Many Colombians and Venezuelans that were in some of those caravans started working at the restaurant and hotel where my parents work.

Why you giving them stuff your part of the problem
Is it not obvious, offering drinks and assistance is a sweetener to get them to talk and tell their stories, it is an aid to gain trust and getting down to the truth of what is happening at the border. The illegals would be weary had he of just gone up to them with a load of invasive questions, he is a smart man.

As an American, I don’t think we would feel so resentful, scared, or unheard if WE had the same support and “asylum” for our own. If we were giving our own legal or American born citizens free healthcare, free funds, free education, and free housing etc. just SUPPORT, we wouldn’t feel so angry about helping others

The problem with free stuff (free meaning you are not required to work for it) is that someone else is required to work to produce your free stuff. So without major strings attached, handouts are not good for society. Now ideally the government would ensure everyone has the opportunity to earn for what they need but that doesn’t really work when you have the labor market flooded with unskilled labor like this.
