Agreed. They need to know the truth. Life will be harsh here as well. They will end up in big, dangerous cities where they will be exploited by corrupt politicians for their votes and cheap labor. I was grocery shopping about a month ago. A woman and a teenage boy approached me in the parking lot - literally scared me the crap out of me, coming out of my car. She was holding a sign, written in English. It said that she needed money and had come far, needed help...she was speaking a dialect of Spanish...no bags, no purse, no backpacks, nothing but the sign. Yeah, right... I said to her, "You need to go home to your own country and get away from my car, I aint givin' ya shit. I need help too!!!" They moved on. Come to find out that there was a group of illegals scattered in the parking lot, asking for money, about 9 of them. I'm in Michigan, southeastern area - metro Detroit - Fraser area. They're definitely here.

Interesting report. It appears that the legal residents of Mexico City are not all that thrilled to have so many migrants there. What I have a hard time wrapping my mind around is the lack of planning, goals, foresight on how to live in the USA, get a job, how to pay for rent, transportation etc., especially with a total lack of English language skills. With the inability to work, whether in Mexico or in the US, why not at least try and learn the language of the country you wish to live in., or anything else about the laws of their dream country. At minimum it would help fill their time in a productive manner.
Our government is giving each person in a family 1500 dollars. The woman with a husband and 4 kids will receive 9000 a month courtesy of the taxpayers. Plus food stamps.
I wish there was an app that American citizens could use to get free travel anywhere in the US. Free food and housing along with healthcare for 60 days. I am Latino (puedo Rican I’m legal) I’ve done volunteer work as a translator and I hang around the Latin community, they are actually getting great treatment, better than Americans a lot of the time, I’m not saying there aren’t people at all who need help, but it did not have to be from the damn states, some people really are coming here and living on easy mode.

As a mexican living in mexico, I can say this is sad for all of us, I don't know what should we do, mexico has a lot of problems and can't even help their own people, the USA has the same problem, and at the same time, that people leave countries with worst life conditions, so at the end, this problem is turning more complex that it seems. We (USA and Mexico) can't just let all of that people come in our country cause it would cause more problems for us, but at the same time, we can't just let the other carry all the weight until it's economy dies, cause one day or another it will impact your own economy. Interesting report. It appears that the legal residents of Mexico City are not all that thrilled to have so many migrants there. What I have a hard time wrapping my mind around is the lack of planning, goals, foresight on how to live in the USA, get a job, how to pay for rent, transportation etc., especially with a total lack of English language skills. With the inability to work, whether in Mexico or in the US, why not at least try and learn the language of the country you wish to live in., or anything else about the laws of their dream country. At minimum it would help fill their time in a productive manner.

As a mexican living in mexico, I can say this is sad for all of us, I don't know what should we do, mexico has a lot of problems and can't even help their own people, the USA has the same problem, and at the same time, that people leave countries with worst life conditions, so at the end, this problem is turning more complex that it seems. We (USA and Mexico) can't just let all of that people come in our country cause it would cause more problems for us, but at the same time, we can't just let the other carry all the weight until it's economy dies, cause one day or another it will impact your own economy.
