I have the same black Xero Prio shoes for 2 years now. I use them a lot and I can say they are very durable. I have walked mountains, run, went camping at the desert, walked rocks, going for casual walks etc. I also use the Xero Dillon (the white one). Very comfortable for me and very cool in terms of aesthetics.
I own the original prio, prio neo, scrambler low, Denver leather and HFS 2 all in 10.5. They fit perfectly and have very little wear. Eventually they might not be wide enough but for now I love them.
Exactly.. the toe box just isn’t wide enough
Ditto
Thanks for this mane
Yup, I'm a woman and have to buy mens Xeros. Still, they're the only minimalist shoes that I've tried that actually fit my high volume, Greek shaped feet. I love my Prio Neos!
My favorite shoe was the Impari Hana. I wore the heck out of my first pair over four years. There is still tred on the sole and the upper is in great shape. When I ordered a new pair, in the same size, they were small. The sole was shorter and narrower. The upper was much tighter. I wore the sole smooth over one summer and the upper shows sighns of wear on the sides. I can't wear them anymore.
Bought the newborn to run and get a small blister under the inner side of foot under the big toe bunion area. I don’t wear socks ( uncomfortable). Shoe is great I own the HFS1 and 2. These shoes are great for the track. I have original Prio, Prio Neo and winter boots.
I'm with you, my feet aren't that wide. I'm only 10 months in, so my toes could spread more over time, but for right now they're fine. I'd seen a recent interview with Steven Sashen where he was asked about the width of the shoes, and he basically said that he understands, but a lot of their core buyers don't have extra wide toes and making wider lasts and adding wide sizes is expensive and just not something they want to do at the moment. Luckily, there are plenty of other brands to choose from if you need the extra width.
Nailed it.
prio neo to me is their best shoe. Xero in general need to add more colors to each shoe.
I was a bit hesitant when I was buying my Xero Alpine boots since I heard Xero was very narrow. And especially since I live in Canada, with customs and non-free return shipping I had to be damn sure they would fit. My feet aren't too wide and they are on the cusp of being uncomfortable on my little toes. Not enough to not wear them, or return them. But any wider and they wouldn't have worked. Not too many waterproof winter boots either, so its the Alpine or freeze for three months.
I just ordered the Prio suede. I'm hoping it feels good. I usually use vibram toe shoes and love it. I just don't feel comfortable wearing it out to just walk around. I'm hoping the prio suede will fit the bill.
how wide are they compered to altra lone peaks
Looks like the toe box is not big enough. But at the same time i feel super good with them and super stable. My feet just work the way its supposed to do even if i could have a wider splay. The problem i found with this brand is that they are not consistent in sizing. Some shoes you have to size up or down in the sime brand in terms of length. A wide version with the same shoe just like 3mm wider could be great. For now i love my prios and HFS. Is what i use everyday. The neo has the same size as the normal prio?
Yeah for me the Prio Neo has a really similar fit to the Prio and I got the same size
As a 4E I find that the barefoot shoes that I have tried are not wide enough overall, including the toe box. But if they were made in wider sizes and the toe box accommodated that wider last then maybe it would work out. My first barefoot shoe was from Lems and they are super, super narrow in the midfoot and feel about like a regular 2E sneaker in the toe box (narrow for me). The funny thing is that people reviewing them would have you believe that they are ultra-wide. Perspective, I guess.
Regardless, I will continue to search and see what works for me.
I wear luna sandals awesome sandals and shamma
Xero is trying to work on it, the ceo says he would love to make shoes that fit everyone's feet but it just wasn't feasible. They are making more money than ever and it seems that they are trying to make a wide version. My feet have spread out a little and now my prios are kinda tight and I have to use a 9.5.
Same issue. The shoes are not wide enough and even though I still use them, I have to up the size. The should consider a wide width! I can’t fit into a men’s shoe size because my feet are too small.
Who makes a similar shoe with a wider toe box?
@laurak4795 Freet, also they probably will within the left two years, some of there shoes feel like they have more toe space than others due to materials. My hfs feels like it has more room than the prio.
What happened to the white shoes?
Okay but have you tried specifically the Merrell Vapor Glove 3. I’ve had 3 pairs. The ground feel is insaaaane.
Went BACK to my prios to get the mail after 6 months in Vapr 3s, and the prio felt like air max in comparison. The Vapor Glove 3 in leather is the best shoe I've ever had in 45 years.
The problem with Merrel vapors is the outsole doesn't last very long. Cannot run in them. Had Vapor 4 and 5 and already at my second pair of 5s within a year or two.
given you can barely find the white version anywhere...maybe xero will get the hint
Nice review but they didn't "just drop"
I have several pairs of Vivo's and just got my first pair of Xero's. Been browsing Xero's website for a while though. Their styles are just so boring, and now with a pair in hand that feeling hasn't changed
thanks for the review, the burp was disgusting though.
They'll double their sales of they make extra wide models
he has talked about the wide shoes many, many times in his lives
what about the. Kelso?
The Kelso is pretty cool, but I prefer the design of this Prio and it’s quite a bit lighter and more flexible than the Kelso. The Kelso is a bit more like a skater shoe feel
Nice click bait
Toe socks lems while low to ground while not barefoot barefoot um and so therss eould be ghe medium be like ih jrodna try these on
Xero Shoes are hype.
