It’s wrong that you’ve been subjected to awful treatment and verbal abuse. I hope you meet more people as great as your dad and your husband.
I’m glad that the iamunbeautiful series puts a spotlight on these matters. It’s important for society to know how damaging lookism is, and it’s necessary to criticize and reduce it-we don’t need to look a certain way in order to be treated with basic respect, acceptance, and kindness.
