Port Town: The place is pretty self explanatory, though by Port Town they mean it isn’t just for sea transport, but for intergalactic transport as well. For this reason many trade empires own a lot of land here, and some say it’s also the hometown of the legendary Captain Falcon. A lot of travelers come by here for one reason or another, and sadly due to the place’s nature many smuggling operations have occurred in the area.
I’ve heard that they’ve said that there’s nowhere to take the franchise from _GX/AX,_ no way for the game to evolve from where it was in the GameCube era. Since this is _Nintendo_ we’re talking about, I think that that’s bullshit, and they just want to kill it because it’s too Western-looking for them, and anything outside their cultural paradigm upsets them. Like how they made _Metroid: Other M_ because the idea of a strong female protagonist fills them with absolute disgust.
@@Xalerdane I don't think it's because F-zero would be too western looking for them. It's just because F-zero is a niche licence, they don't want to bother with it whereas a new Mario/Pokemon game or else will be a commercial success for sure. Minimum effort for maximum money. I think both of the above comments are true. It would take a minor miracle for Nintendo to outdo this game and sales for the series have never been great. F-Zero 99 seems to have been popular for what it was, so maybe that will convince them. I suspect that us fans of GX would be disappointed in the direction Nintendo goes with the series. Sega's game design philosophy was always the opposite of Nintendo's. GX was the adrenaline rush of an arcade game blown up to the size and replay value of a console exclusive. Very rare even back in 2003 and especially now.
Does anybody else hear the electronic voice going "Port Town" over and over throughout the song or is that just me? Or is it saying something else??? Idk
X was the hype guitar shredding stuff, GX was more techno and electronic house. Weird since F-Zero has a phenomenal track record music wise but can’t stick to a consistent genre of music.
@@rebirthphoenix5646 Hm... I'd say it's the opposite. X took the original and turned it to 11. Maximum Velocity went back to the roots for a bit, but GP Legend and Climax followed X pretty well. GX seem like the odd one out here ^^
F-Zero AX rocks. Love how it threatens to throw me out the side of the seat when I turn too sharp. Too bad the music is garbage, not that I'd hear it in the arcade anyway

It was always a shame that Aero Dive was a stage in Smash, but this theme wasn't there to accompany it...
It's still ridiculous to me that this has yet to make it into Smash...when the stage it's literally the music for has been there since Brawl.
