    One of my favorite aunts loved fried eggs and tomatoes for breakfast. Especially in the summer as they grew their own tomatoes. It is delicious.

    I'm gonna try to make those meatballs for sure! Did you use beef or mix? 🤔 Sorry if I missed it...😅 I'm Finnish, and kids over here love raw carrot salad. Simply shred finely the carrots(the sweeter the better!), add a splash of lemon juice and mix a bit. Many like to add canned pineapple (this recipe dates back to times it was trendy lol) or raisins or both. Adults might mix in cottage cheese for extra protein. This side salad pairs well with macaroni bakes. 😊

      Thanks for your comment! I usually use a mix of beef and pork for the meatballs. I wish my son liked raw carrots because that sounds good! I think he would just eat the things he likes out like the raisins 😂. I will try it for myself, thanks for sharing! 🥰

    The ground meat mixture in the zucchini is a great idea. You taught me something with dusting flour on the inside after removing the seeds.
    Also, I have a hard time eating raw kale. I usually cook it in some thing.

    In America we use chili powder for a base seasoning in taco meat. I’ve never seen curry as the base seasoning. Interesting.

    • @whatsfordinner_japanese
      @whatsfordinner_japanese  4 місяці тому +2

      Yeah chili powder is more common here too but not so much in Japan. I think chili powder would work just fine for this too but if you get chance you should try curry powder 😋. Thanks for watching and your comment!

    Do you have a Japanese community that you can connect with there in Canada?
    I know here in the United States different Asian groups will connect and support each other like family since their real family is so far away.

    • @whatsfordinner_japanese
      @whatsfordinner_japanese  4 місяці тому +1

      I'm not sure if there is a Japanese community here where I live but I do meet a few other Japanese. I know there's some in the bigger cities like Toronto. Thanks for your comment 😊
