I feel like Nitecore dropping 1 Lumen moonlight mode on these EDC lights is a miss. 15 Lumen is a lot of light sometimes especially when you are trying to save night vision but still need to see some details. Thanks for the review Charles, you are always my first stop for flashlight reviews!
Got mine yesterday, apart from the heat there’s no other complaint, the lock switch really shows nitecore DO listen to their customers and willing to improve their products to be the industry’s leading brand
It's hard for me to choose between this and the Olight Arcfeld Pro. I have an arcfeld pro that I love, but I'm not sure if I should get another one or the ERDC29
Smartphones use the same kind of non removable lipo batteries, and they're way more expensive than these flat flashlights. I don't see any serious problem with this type of battery.
This light would be much more useful if the flood LEDs were actually utilized in the low/medium modes where I need them the most. When I walk in the forrest my mobile phone flashlight does a better job illuminating the path in front of me. I originally bought the EDC33 and was rather disappointed for exactly that reason but Nitecore obviously doesn't learn, bummer.
@@CharlesBridgTec I doubt that anyone of authority from Nitecore is actually reading any comments. From my point of view the product is just arbitrarily flawed, it could be soo much more useful if common sense was applied. Interestingly this is an issue with many chinese engineered products, not just Nitecore.
@@Roman-nu1om if it's not for you, it's not for you. doesn't mean it's not for others. I love my edc33 and 35. sometime your common sense may not be that common.
If Nitecore did that, those wouldn’t be called Low or Medium modes, would they? If you really need that flood beam, can’t you just switch on to High or Luminshield? Those options are there for a reason, right? If that still doesn’t work, it means you bought the wrong flashlight, or you need to have your eyes checked (There's a medical condition known as night blindness, I hope that's not the reason).
