I personally like smaller easy to fit in the pocket lights. I work as a first responder and often times our pockets are full of latex gloves or meds and having something minimal like this would be a great addition. I’ve been watching this channel for a while now. Hopefully one day I get chosen to receive a light from you guys. I love the videos!
Aurora A3 is what you want. Size of a AA battery! 650 lumen max, USB-C rechargeable, 4 light modes plus strobe, lock-out mode, aluminum housing, water resistant and only $18. Carry it every day.
I would like to see more of the budget brand head to head. I’m new to the whole lights hobby but this is very impressive for something so small. Great video explaining how this is superior to the other brands while cutting out what other reviews ramble on and being well informed.
Me too mam there's just something about it. It's just so powerful for something so small that you would expect it to be 5 times bigger. I hope Nitecore makes a version 2 with a forward clicky/momentary switch and 1 and 15 lumen modes. That would make this the best light ever made IMO.
My first nitecore products were the MT2a and intelli charger I4 when i was in search of a flashlight with double A batteries 6 years ago. This opened the world of flashlight and EDC to me. And now, the MT1a Pro arrived, a smaller yet powerful version of the mt2a and mt2a pro. I hope people also in search of flashlights with double a would stumble upon this video and I'm sure they will not regret getting one. For now, I am looking for a headlamp and will be basing it from reviews of this channel.
MT2A is an older model that only takes NI-MH/alkaline batteries with max of about 360 lumens. There is the newer MT2A Pro that can take both Two 14500 and NI-MH batteries with 1000 lumens max. I do not own an MT2A Pro but the MT2A i own is built well and I'm sure they are the same with the pro version. MT1A pro as reviewed in the video is good as an EDC. They are both pocketable and mt2a pro can be used for swlf defense becaise of longer body but If you like shorter light, choose the mt1a pro but with shorter run time. I'm sure when you get one flashlight, eventually, you'll get more😂😂 If i would choose between mt2a pro vs mt1a pro, i think i will chose mt1a pro. It is small but powerful and easily pocketed. Nitecore are battery efficient and with the replaceable battery, you can have extra non-nitecore battery with you.
Flashlight also depends on where you use them. Nitecore builds great tactical lights for law enforcers, as well as for camping, outdoor or everyday carry. Usually, there is no one light that fits all circumstances. But at least you have one when you need to light an area.
@arvinbangsiel3456 Thank you very much for your well crafted response. This is helping a lot with my decision! I guess I'm going for the MT1A Pro because of the small size and powerful light. :)
I would start with the Nitecore HA11 which is probably as no-nonsense as it gets. 5-star all the way. Move up from there as required. My second choice would be the NU25UL. Nitecore has THE widest range of headlamps I know of.
Hi, im a student light collector from Philippines. I own 3 lights from nitecore that I ended up with because of your videos (p23i, EDC27, edc33). I would like to see more outside the table field tests( actual beamshots, range, flashlight temperatures at certain modes, weight with and without the battery and comparison with each flashlights’ similar competitors).❤
Upon getting to know this channel it really keep all consumers well knowledgeable about different type of light and outdoor techs. Would like to see more outdoor equipments and tech
Nitecore is my favourite brand for its innovation and execution in designs and love seeing what you have to show! Aswell as up coming products, always thought cosumer idea page/poll be awesome in designing and further innovations not only in flashlights but also edc and equipment:).
I would love to see more comparison videos like this. This will be able to help us to wisely choose which light from which brand is the real value for money and to see how Nitecore lights really stacks up against the competition.
Great video on the MT1A pro. Just got the upgraded edc27 Uhi and looking for a smaller one to fit in my pocket. For upcoming videos, I would like the team interview and speak to the professionals and people on the ground who used these lights for work and leisure and how the nitecore lights have changed the game for them. For example security staff, SMRT staff, avid hikers and campers. We get to see how they use their gear and enable us to better use ours.
Great video, would like it even better with a momentary switch but for what it is it's not a deal breaker. Love all the new products that are coming out!
I am a big fan of Nitecore. Recently I have bought HA11 and be buying MT2C Pro soon. Hope and love to see a 2AA with Solar charging capacity flashlight🥰
I have always wanted to see a video that introduce some flashlight usages in different situation with the most effective way. For example in daily use, self defense or how to maintain flashlight in the right way. Bay that way users can use all the light's functions and keep them always in the best condition. Hope to see those contents soon ❤
I have the MT1A Pro and love it. The throw is surprising for its size . As far as what to see reviewed, like to see mini or portable lanterns or flashlights that can double as a lantern.
To be honest, MT1A pro is very very impressive. I own weltool t1 pro V2, Wuben E6, Lumintop GT micro. Among all this, MT1A pro has great throw and great spill for practical use. I realised after owning 3 tiny throwers is that, if you want a good thrower you should get a bigger light. Small flashlight should be used for everyday use, should he carried with ease. I loved it. I own mt2a pro also, thats a great one too but little long.
I discovered this channel while searching for a reliable flashlight to invest in. I appreciate the honest and informative content here, which I find trustworthy. It seems that anyone visiting this channel has a valid reason for wanting a quality flashlight, whether for work in law enforcement or security, or for hobbies like fishing, camping, hiking, or night cycling. In the future, it would be great if the channel could also feature recommendations for accessories such as MOLLE pouches, safety gloves, and gear for camping, hiking, or night cycling.
This size of flashlight is my go to for everyday work. Would like to see comparisons with similar sizes and formats and similar flashlights from Nitecore. Would also like to see a lower moonlight level. Just bought the MT10C and I'm loving it so far.
I love my MT20A Flashlight, especially the part where I can use 2 regular AA batteries if there is no power to charge a rechargeable battery. Aside from the fact that it be used as a defensive tool with the jagged lense tip.
I got my Tiki le last season and now the battery life is way shorter. Is anyone else facing this problem? Is there any solution or possibility for a replacement?
I have mine working for 3 years and I didn't realize anything. I think it depends of the use you give to the light, if you make a heavy use I think is normal
I feel like we’re getting a little teaser/sneak peak 🤏🏼 seeing, what looks to be a smaller version of an EDC27 sort of light, in the background at various points during this video eg. 8:18 Can’t wait to see this if this is the actual case! 😁🙏🏼👌🏼
Such an amazing light, it just needs a moonlight or a low mode, then it would be my top EDC!(EDC 33 still wins due to the low mode, good for night driving and checking something in your car but not blinding. Thank you Nitecore 😎👍
Love that size and power source. Please, please please make the transition between the hot spot and the flood softer. More of a melted hot spot instead of a drilled hot spot.
I have so many surefires but I only bring my nitecores with me. Just so easy to charge and more powerful. What I would love to see is a heavy duty mountain bike mount where I can use a p20i for example and have a durable hard plastic mount on the handlebars.
Both the MT1A & MT2A should’ve included the momentary-on, forward-clicky tail-cap button switch for covert, silent operation and stealthy convenience. The lack of this feature is easily a deal breaker for me as the needless clicking sounds for both on and off every time can be intrusive & disruptive in silent environments. I own the longer of the two lights and really want the shorter variant, too, but I’m having a hard time committing to another purchase of this type. Is there any chance Nitecore will offer a similar version that includes a momentary-on feature in the near future?
I would love to see more comparison of Nitecore products. This video is awesome but I’d love to see similar size Nitecore lights compared. MT1A vs MT1C. Not just comparing the lights in the same line.
Yes for me not having that momentary On with half press is a deal braker, that feature is very very useful. That's the only thing that stops me from getting it. I hope Nitecore will add it on version 2.
Wow... this is worth buying, would be a great back up light as AA batteries pretty accessible, replaceable batteries still better than those with built-in ones. Hope nitecore have 95CRI option specially something this small, and would also prefer this with momentary on.
Would love to see more content about batteries and chargers. I feel like they're an often overlooked part of our EDC. Aside from power and capacity, I'd love to know what kinds/brands are the most reliable and best suited for EDC flashlights.
It's probably overdone but would love to see more outside examples at night using the flashlights different light modes even if it's just in a quick short.
Anyone know when Nitecore is going to start their Black Friday sale? Imalent started already and I am wondering if Nitecore will have theirs early too.

Well, i think the channel is great, been looking at all your videos since 6 months or so. Getting to the MT1A Pro, i actually have a Rovyvon Aurora on my keychain, has a decent output of around 600 L in turbo, battery lasts enough that i charge it every sunday morning... This MT1A Pro is a bit bigger, has a bigger Output and runs a bit longer. Could be a very interesting option if i am going to upgrade my keychain light. Thanks for the useful infos i always get from your videos, take care and keep up the good work. Greets from Italy

I really love the size of this flashlight just like the mt1c pro which I recently watched from your channel, sadly, I still don't have one. However, I hope you can make a comparison with those two flashlights.. It's surely an EDC flashlight, I hope I can have one. Thank you.
I would like to know more accessories or attachment for nitecore product... eventhough i have own only nitecore tip se... nitecore still have sweet spot in my heart....
I'm currently looking for a multifuel AA sized flashlight that can take in both 14500 and regular AA. This would be a good addition to my bugout/emergency loadout.
Argh I bought a Trustfire L2S not long ago, had I known this was coming out I may have waited for it! However the Trustfire has the advantage of onboard USB-C charging and more output on high at 1050 lumens but doesn’t have as much throw, with less peak candela. Hmm perhaps I can justify another “back up” haha

I've been in the market for a flashlight and you have helped me a lot in picking the right one for me. Thank you foe the work you do
I buy every nitecore light and this light has got to be my favourite
Wow, that says a lot! can you tell me why you feel that way? Im considering buying it also... but it seems just barely better than my AA tool
