How did you make your notes for studying and revision
Paper or online apps?
Yes I definitely did make a lot of notes. We were given digital textbooks so I it was easier to make the notes on the iPad on apps such as notability
Really informative video! I’m starting January! Would you recommend platform over the accommodation offered? Do a lot of cadets opt to go externally for accommodation?
Hi Sunny! Most cadets actually go for the L3 accommodation but our entire CP choose to move out due to certain reasons. Also it worked out cheaper than L3 accommodation when you have another flatmate living there with you! Hope this helps

Thank you very much for your kind words. Currently due to the covid 19 pandemic, airlines and flight schools aren’t really offering any cadet programmes as so many pilots are being redundant. Hopefully once the coronavirus ends there might be the change of them opening again!

what was the average level of qualifications held by the students on your course. eg A levels or degree level did you have anyone on the course who only had o levels?
Hi Stephen,
It honestly varies from class to class. In my class there was more cadets who only had A level qualifications. However, some classes do have cadets who are older and join the flight school with a degree under their belt. I don’t actually know anyone who has joined L3 with only O Levels/ GCSES. This is probably due to L3 having a policy about cadets having a minimum age of 18 before joining. Hope this answers your question!
Can you become a first officer for any UK airline at 20 years old, or do you have to be at least 21?
Yes that’s correct you need to be 21

Is the Southampton L3 Harris training ground closed down, due to COVID or is this a permanent fix?
As I live 90 minutes away from Crawley would moving to this location be my next best option (happily willing to do so)

Southampton and Coventry are permanently closed
Yes as mentioned by Boruto they are both permanently closed. I would recommend you definitely move to Crawley as all the travelling in a day won’t be worth it and you will have a lot of work to do daily! Hope this helps

Also where did u get the resources from all the 14 subjects ? Ebooks?
L3Harris give you the iPad version of the books needed so you will always have a digital copy.

Unfortunately you don’t get to chose and L3Harris New Zealand is closing down so you will only be either to fly in Portugal or Bournemouth

I'm currently 15 from UK aswell should I do a integrated ATPL? OR Mpl?
By MPL do you mean multi-crew pilot license, The one which trains you to a certain airline? I wouldn’t do them as if the airline you’re training with goes bankrupt you have to do the course, and pay for it over again, during COVID this has happened a lot and some people have been charged £150,000.
If you mean modular pilots license instead, then personally I would say yes if you prefer a slower pace and modular suits your training style better. Some people will say that airlines in EU prefer integrated students over modular, but this a thing of the past and now most airlines hire integrated and modular trainees equally. And it’s much cheaper and accessible for most.

Well you are meant to! However due to covid pandemic I have been getting more and more delayed

Hi Clement, unfortunately you can’t get a loan specifically for flight training so you would have to arrange the money yourself through family or friends

L3Harris suited me better and I personally thought it was the best flying school in the uk!
