Thank you all so much for the kind words about my friend. Her name was Janessa, she was amazing, and she deserves to be honored. Her passing was a complete surprise and while I'm still struggling to find solid ground in my life, having such a warm reaction to acknowledging her death - and how massive the impact of that loss is - has helped me release some tough emotions. I'm awestruck by how much kindness and empathy you all have. I'll continue doing my best, for you, for me, and for her.
A word of encouragement, your voice IS the voice of Poe lore. You have made this space for us. Love to see/hear you continue if you can. You delivery and research is incredibly valuable to a lot of us. Stay Golden PonyBoy.
Hey Noodle! First, I want to express my deepest condolences for your loss. Losing a friend is a pain that words can hardly soothe, and I truly empathize with what you’re going through. I’ve also lost a loved one in recent years, and I know how profoundly it can shape our lives. I hope you find comfort and strength in the support of those around you. I also want to say how much I appreciate your kindness in mentioning my channel in your description. It means the world to me to be recognized by someone whose work I admire. Thank you for your generosity and encouragement-it inspires me to keep creating.
Thank you! I love that you are approaching the lore from a timeline of in-world events, that’s such an interesting way to do it AND super useful for us lore nerds as a reference. It’s awesome! I’m sorry you’ve been through something similar. It’s hard to describe. Stranger than older family… it’s changed the way I view life, I guess.
I posted too fast. I'm sorry for your loss. **Big hug** the community all wishes we could give you a big bear hug when we heard your voice broke and you had a moment. Appreciate you for what you do and so happy you have had the time to work through this tough time.
Take care of yourself, so sorry to hear about your friend. Living in the moment and enjoying spending time with your loved ones is something you should never feel bad for doing. Keep on doing what's best for you. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into these videos (and the shoutout!)
Please don't view these videos as a task you HAVE to do as none of us do, we all see them as gifts and we're thankful for each one. Take all the time you need and do whatever it takes for you to feel better as that's all we want. Thanks for all of them, it's crazy how many anxious, awful nights I've managed to fall asleep to your Act 1-10 videos.
Lost my mother at 12 and father at 27 it’s never easy but one thing I always try to remember is any potential suffering is avoided. Our memories of loved ones allows them to live on. No amount of words make it easier but I personally appreciate all the time and effort you put into your content and I thank you for it from the bottom of my heart.
I just want to leave this somewhere. In POE2 endgame we're working with Doryani and doing a quest titled "Cataclysm's Wake", and there are several references to "precursors", i.e. proto-Vaal. So it could well be be that towards the end of the campaign we travel into the past, witness the Vaal cataclysm, and help clean up after it.
I like your face cam just fine. I am sorry for your loss. Everyone experiences loss and suffering in this strange place we fine ourselves. You are not alone. I love your videos and life comes first. Whenever you feel up to releasing some content you can bet your Bippy that I will be here to enjoy it. Take care of yourself Noodle.
Noodle lore drop! I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you continue to do what makes you happiest. Every video will be cherished at whatever pace they do or do not come out.
Thanks so much for this epic contribution :) Super grateful for someone who shares this stuff and takes the time to not click through everything racing to maps ;-) Lost my step brother this year, pretty close to home. Take your time. "When the leaves have fallen from the tree, and the branches are bare, the roots are growing".
Like others have said... take care of yourself! In my experience, sometimes, when you haven't done something for a while it can feel like this huge obstacle to overcome to come back... but know that if you just made videos at your own pace, when you felt like it... I'm sure everyone would enjoy that! And maybe you would too. Just saying - don't feel pressured to make stuff, and don't feel pressured to NOT make stuff, either! We'll be here to watch whatever you end up putting out, regardless.
When you lose someone in your life, it is always difficult not to feel a mix of emotions when you do or remember something that is bound to that person. In my experience, the best way to honor someone is by remembering him in the best way possible, like this videos. Welcome back, and let me say that I love the kind of work you did in the past. Now starting again, PoE lore is elusive and scattered but something awesome that is embedded in GGG's work. Thanks, keep doing this. I appreciate your work.
I am so happy to see another upload, I really feel for what happened to your friend, may they be at peace. Take your time with content, we are here, and hopefully path of exile 2 is just as fun ! Hope that the lore community helps with making lore collabs that are less burdensome to you individually and hopefully still scratch the passion itch!
So happy to see you back! Was seriously worried about the whereabouts of our lore queen. Please take care and my deepest condolences. I'm sorry for your loss. Even tho you might not really plan to do the youtube lore stuff on a regular basis any longer I'll always be happy about new lore videos, just take your time.
It's so nice to have you back! It always feels so uncanny to realize that someone who has been one of my favorite creators out there has not been active in a long time. And, I'm so sorry for your loss. It really isn't my place to talk, but in a way I feel like you honour your friend by making this kind of content. Not that you have to, of course. But if you think about it, perhaps there's more to it all than it just being lore videos for us PoE nerds. In all honesty, I doubt I would ever recover from a loss like this one if I were in your shoes, so it's a good and necessary thing to take your time and distance yourself for a while. In any case, I hope you can make at least some sense of this incoherent mess I wrote. I think we're all glad to see you once more!
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. My sincerest condolences. All the best while you focus on life and friends. If you ever need anything don't hesitate to reach out!
AHHHH!!!! I've been wondering where you went, as I've been re-watching the complete lore series in preparation for PoE2.....I'm really sorry to hear about your friend, and it's totally understandable that you haven't been very active since. I did notice a few folks starting to tackle the lore, which is great....but (no disparagement intended), it's just not the same. You really did SUCH a good job, it's hard to find such quality and knowledge elsewhere. So while I don't want to press or make it feel like you're beholden to anything, I hope you know it's not because you were the ONLY lore person for so long that people love your content....it's because it's genuinely great coverage, amongst other greats like VaatiVidja. So, selfishly, I really, really hope life works out for you so that you can really dive back into it. That being said, whether you continue or not...or if you do, whether it's a lot or a little, thank you so much for your content. You're fantastic.
Thank you so much! The comparisons to Vaati always make me blush haha he is an actual legend. I really enjoy making them and I’m glad the effort I put into them shines through!
I would argue that the first group of Kalguurians might not have been able to use gems when they first got to Wraeclast but after spending so much time around the corruption they would have most definitely developed a fear of it's power and thus a belief in it. Possibly in Poe 2 we will see Kalguurians using gems, however it does very much look like it is a kalguurian ruin blade that is used to cripple the hooded one in the PoE 2 cutscene so maybe its Wraeclast that adopts that power instead.
At first i thought so too about the runes on the sword in cinematic but later in the video they mentioned that you can use the Ezomyte runes in the item sockets, so i think those runes on swords were the Ezomyte runes Edit: In the video Noodles say that the runes that bind the Hooded one are indead the Kalguuran ones, so by extent that means that the runes on the sword in the cinematic are also Kalguuran runes
That's a pretty solid point. It might even be some kind of in-game lore as to why our gems level up, and it's not about slain enemies, but more about us (players) using gems, and as we use them and connect them with each other, we gain more understanding of their inner workings and how they interact with each other, thus making them more powerful over time.
Looking great in that light Noodle. :) Also sorry for your loss. I had no idea about Raulf having lines about Settlers bosses. :o GGG going through the trouble of recording them while most players will miss them. They might not even actually be in game. There is even confirmation that Sasan actually receives Raulg's letters lmao. This is hilarious. Sonja - final villain of PoE 2?! :o It's kinda crazy that we just go ahead and be like "Oh yeah, I am gonna make your one of the most powerful men in Oriath for 2k Rogue Markers. Sounds good" when asked to blackmail and then muder Faustus's competitors. On the other hand we routinely trading existence level threats like Living Ice for a ocuple thousands Markers so what do we know. *shrugs*
In my head cannon, your absence was due to a job on GGG narrative design team. Like, the last I saw you was that interview on exilecon and we have precedent on streamers getting job interviews on that ocasion before. Daydreams asside, sorry for your loss. And best of luck on your job. UA-cam and streamer jobs can be quite taxing on the time they demand on the people doing them. About the video, loved that you answer the question I made myself during the league (quite late, tbh), about why Gweenen wasn't around at all. About Sasan, I only got that he hastes Kaldurann, as those lines at the end of the fight doesn't change much from that. And Johan loyalty... I would bet he is a seasoned politician, a aristocrat with enougth wits to read the situation and act accordly. Or, that he is highborn and a trouble child, so giving him a title and send him thousand of kilometers away was a fitting punishment. One with traces of promotion. His interest on the city might be selfish ones, mostly. As history shows that a lot of colonization attempts were fueled by private interest, with kings "giving" newfond land to royal families to explore, only caring about his part on tributes.
I'm sorry about what happened in your life, but I'm happy that you are back and I think that you deserve time for yourself without having to worry about us.
During the reveal the day before last I was thinking to myself "man I sure miss Kitten Cat Noodle. I'd sure like for her to explain to my smooth brain what is going on in the lore with the recent updates and PoE2 stuff!" Ever so happy to see you around again.
This is exquisite. Your analysis of the Path of Exile lore is unparalleled. I love that you mix in jokes once in a while. All in all a huge thank you for making this video! Really good work!
One of my best friend’s and the biggest fan of my music passed, and I couldn’t get myself to perform for years. I took a break from it for me, but I returned for him. I may not get more of his encouragement, but I still have what was given. As hard as it may be for you, it sounds like you’re handling things well. Strength and peace to you, exile.
Thank you - there have been so many beautiful words for my friend, but yours really nailed what has been tough. Right now, making the videos, even playing the game, reminds me of her and still hurts. But hopefully I will get to the place where these videos are a tribute to her impact on my life, not an opening of wounds.
@KittenCatNoodle You’re very welcome - I think your thoughts are good ones, good signs. Through loss I’ve realized that grief, like all emotions, can be seen as energy, and at some point I had to do something with that energy. I decided that energy of such magnitude should be used to build monuments, even if only within myself. Such megaliths will surely open wounds, but your path of healing is your own-I’m am just honored to help in any way. Your work is incredible, thank you for all you do.
these videos are a great way to pay homage to her memory. no pressure; happiness & life first. thhanks for filling in this niche for so many years. i'm sorry to hear for your loss and only wish you the best and some clarity. holla if you need a vacay in the carribean ^^
Super excited for another lore video! Heartbroken to hear about your friend. I don't know what to say. I'm glad you're prioritizing spending time with people and it's okay if you need to stay away from making videos or spend less time on them. It's always a blessing to watch a new lore video from you, but it's more important for you to take care of yourself. That comes first. It's beautiful that your friend supported you in doing lore videos and I want to honor their impact.
Thank you so much for this video! I'm sorry for your loss. Great content creators like yourself are worth any wait between videos because those videos are always so awesome. I'm also glad that it seems that there are other people taking up lore of this amazing game!
So sorry to learn about the loss of your best friend. Thank you for all that you've done and continue to do on here. Always a pleasure hearing you go deep into the lore of this game.
Awesome you're back. It's understandable real life comes first and editing hour-long videos is quiet a chore. Sometimes we're disruptively reminded that our time is limited both leisure time and the totality of it and we have to spend it with people we care about while possible. Thanks for the linked creators as for some reason the algorithm is not picking them up at all. I knew about Tri but he seemed to stop making videos about lore a while ago. Just thursday I was watching the PoE2 trailer and was thinking what a bunch of lore they baked in this time from the start, "someone" would have to understand it for us. 😅
It's amazing to see a new upload from you! Rewatched every single one of your videos at least 3 times past weeks, big thank you for letting me experience PoE lore in such a fantastic way. I always focused on minmaxing and skipping lore due to being inefficient and your work made it possible for me to fully enjoy the other amazing side of the game!
Been a fan of you work for a long time now- always appreciate these videos 💜 take your time with them, and my condolences as well. I love that in a video on Kingsmarch we still get a hefty section absolutely blasting Faustus. We see you, GGG- trying to rehabilitate this man's reputation by making him the point of contact for 90% of our trades now so we HAVE to like him. At least we'll get Alva for PoE2's currency exchange (if I saw correctly in the reveal trailer)
I’m sorry for your loss. Thank you for being back (although it’s the first time I watch you). I struggle with following up PoE lore for the first 4 acts. It will be lovely to follow you as you tell them. Cheers!
I watched your lore videos for comfort and entertainment, and I am so sorry that you had to go through such a loss. Hopefully good things will come in your life moving forward.
I appreciate your work so much, so always happy to see a video pop up in my feed even if they are intermittent. Big hugs. I am sorry about your friend and I am hoping things get a bit easier.
I am sorry for the loss of your friend. This is part of what it means to be human, I guess, these lessons we learn from loss and lack and limitation. I send love and many thanks for continuing.
Hey, I have some BIG THOUGHTS about the first pinnacle atlas boss in Path of Exile 2, who it could be and why they come from the depths. Let me know if you'd like to hear them! I went on a deep-dive on everything Azmeri and Precursor and Kalandra and Titans, haha.
Welcome back! =) Glad this came up on my feed. I used to watch your twitch long ago, and somewhat recently was curious if you were still around. Was disappointed to see that you stopped. Hope poe2 brings a new life to your streaming/content creator career. Best wishes in whatever life throws at you, from Betahorde
Holy crap I was just looking a couple of days ago to see if I had missed an update at some point. Glad you're still at it! Sorry to hear about your friend.
Regardless oh how long you take to make videos, we are here for them and here to support you! You are the standard for lore and quality and I will always tell people about your channel who are interested in POE. Excited for POE2 and any videos on it. I have my own theories but in excited to see what you eventually cook up. Thanks for so much great content! 35:10 - the boss spawn chances were awful. Had almost 300 or so hours on the league and never once got Sasan to spawn 1:13:51 -when we got the cinematic trailer during the endgame content update, I speculated that the runes on the sword, the count used to pin him to the tree, we’re indeed kalgurr’in and hearing you bring this up in this video makes me so excited. Now my question is, where did he obtain that sword, is it a sword from that battlefield, or did he have a Smith make it for him with those runes on it?
Hi, thanks for video. Really interesting thought about these public notes. By the way, I think video about wildwood still will be much apreciated. But no rush. Take care about your health first.
35:10 With regards to info on Sasan, there's the Unique Item you can get from killing him: "The Living Blade [2H Sword]" "Green-cloaked travelers emerged from the mists, planted a tree, and named it Lorrata. Its strongest root became a weapon..." Lorrata is the tree in Act 2 whose roots you had to poison to clear an entrance into some ruins (and also Act 2 is famous for its three "Bandit Lords"). I also find Sasan's accent to be similar to some of the characters from Affliction league - e.g. Primal Huntress, Breaker of Oaths. Scottish/Gaelic, that sort of thing. So at the very least, he's got a significant association with the Azmeri, perhaps with the Maji as well.
never commented befure, big lurker, Sorry to hear about your loss. And know i have appreciated your videos on the lore sooooo much, i have actually gotten a few friends into the game by having them watch your lore videos. so thank you
first time player, thanks for the video, I never paid attention to any of the dialogues because, well, it's an arpg, I never considered writing was a strength of the genre, , but it's nice to listen to someone explaining the story while I play the game
The Lore queen is back with Lore for those of us that do not research it ourselves 😄🎉🎉
Sorry for your loss. And hope you take your time.
A word of encouragement, your voice IS the voice of Poe lore. You have made this space for us.
Love to see/hear you continue if you can.
You delivery and research is incredibly valuable to a lot of us.
Stay Golden PonyBoy.
Just watched the intro. All the hugs Noodle. Put your mental health first. Hope you are well and you get to do what you can and are willing to do.
Hey Noodle!
First, I want to express my deepest condolences for your loss. Losing a friend is a pain that words can hardly soothe, and I truly empathize with what you’re going through. I also want to say how much I appreciate your kindness in mentioning my channel in your description. It means the world to me to be recognized by someone whose work I admire.

I’m sorry you’ve been through something similar. It’s hard to describe. Stranger than older family… it’s changed the way I view life, I guess.
NOODLE! 🎉🎉🎉 Happy to see you back! 🫡
I posted too fast. I'm sorry for your loss. **Big hug** the community all wishes we could give you a big bear hug when we heard your voice broke and you had a moment. Appreciate you for what you do and so happy you have had the time to work through this tough time.
Sorry for your loss. Loosing someone dear to you, never gets easier.
Take care of yourself, so sorry to hear about your friend. Living in the moment and enjoying spending time with your loved ones is something you should never feel bad for doing. Keep on doing what's best for you.
Thanks for all the time and effort you put into these videos (and the shoutout!)

Thanks for all of them, it's crazy how many anxious, awful nights I've managed to fall asleep to your Act 1-10 videos.
Glad to get more lore, as always great work and research!
Also my condolences for your loss, take the time you need!
I'm sorry for your loss... Belated condolences...
We appreciate your dedication despite it. Thanks for your hard work!
Glad to see you back! There's sure to be tons of stuff to learn about in the POE2 open beta, but take all the time you need.
Lost my mother at 12 and father at 27 it’s never easy but one thing I always try to remember is any potential suffering is avoided. Our memories of loved ones allows them to live on. Say what you want but Johan has 1: the most fire I have seen in a set of moustache and 2: a sick ass coat.
I also stan Johan I will follow him anywhere idk if he’s playing me
I just want to leave this somewhere.

Happy to have you back, really enjoy your content! And for what it's worth my condolences for your friend.
This was so good! I played SoK like no other league, and I very much tend pay attention to the lore, but I have missed so, so much!
I'm sorry for your loss, Noodle. I've missed your vids a lot. Good to see you again.
"unable to resist a buttery-voiced man underestimating me...." 😂☠️🏆

I am sorry for your loss.
And obviously thank you for your video and congrats on the new job!
The Expedition Crew did not age a day in 20 years, there is something fishy going on
alva could be involved lol
I'm sorry about what happened in your life, but I'm happy that you are back and I think that you deserve time for yourself without having to worry about us.

NOODLE IS BACK YESS ;-; I'm so sorry to hear about your loss and hope you take time for yourself
You returning to lore videos is incredible and I’m so happy you’re doing it again. I’m sorry for your loss.
these videos are a great way to pay homage to her memory. no pressure; happiness & life first. thhanks for filling in this niche for so many years. i'm sorry to hear for your loss and only wish you the best and some clarity. holla if you need a vacay in the carribean ^^
Wonderful to see you upload again. 🎉❤
Thank you so much for taking the time for this update
I appreciate your work so much, so always happy to see a video pop up in my feed even if they are intermittent. Big hugs. I am sorry about your friend and I am hoping things get a bit easier.
Just love to see my favorite content creator back. Just love to know you're back and there will be future videos to look forward to.
Holy hell 83 minutes of loregasm, gonna enjoy this one! Preemptive thanks!
beautiful as always :D thanks for all that you do! im sorry for your loss!
Full time job, tough life circumstances, a year hiatus... but the eyebrows are still on point
I am sorry for the loss of your friend. This is part of what it means to be human, I guess, these lessons we learn from loss and lack and limitation.
I send love and many thanks for continuing.
So glad to see an upload. Sorry for your loss.
Great Video, I'm super excited for your stream with talkative tri. Hope your doing good.
Oh snap! Finally! I was worried you had moved on. Know that we appreciate you and value you.
Yaay, best loremaster has returned, finally! Also yeah, my condolences for your loss. Hope it will get better.
Thank you for the video, love your work. Sorry for your loss
Wooo Kitten is back. Love your lore vids! Gonna watch this shortly with coffee and POE.
I’m happy to see that you are back! I’m sorry to hear about your friend.
Thank you for this! Such interesting stuff. Welcome back :D
Finally! You are my POE lore source!
Thanks for the video, and special thanks for the subtitles.
sending love and big hugs your way, thanks for all you do! ❤
Instantly liked without even watch. Glad to see you again, queen.
Yesssssssssssss, so awesome to see more of your videos!
Glad to see you back love your stuff sorry to hear you have had a ruff time but you are loved in the community rember that :)
Amazing to see you back!
much appreciated, stay strong and have a good one!
Had almost 300 or so hours on the league and never once got Sasan to spawn
1:13:51 -when we got the cinematic trailer during the endgame content update, I speculated that the runes on the sword, the count used to pin him to the tree, we’re indeed kalgurr’in and hearing you bring this up in this video makes me so excited.
35:10
With regards to info on Sasan, there's the Unique Item you can get from killing him:
"The Living Blade [2H Sword]"
"Green-cloaked travelers emerged from the mists, planted a tree, and named it Lorrata. Its strongest root became a weapon..."
Lorrata is the tree in Act 2 whose roots you had to poison to clear an entrance into some ruins (and also Act 2 is famous for its three "Bandit Lords").
Yay, glad to see you back!
Anyone else hyped for poe 2
Body and soul are ready.
never commented befure, big lurker, Sorry to hear about your loss. And know i have appreciated your videos on the lore sooooo much, i have actually gotten a few friends into the game by having them watch your lore videos. so thank you
Yooooo I love your videos. So glad to see that you came back. Welcome back🎉
good to see you Kitten, wish you all the best ✌
Good to see you back. Sorry for your loss.
Yesssssss been waiting for this. ❤❤❤ love the hair btw
Hell yeah, another lore video! Time to get cozy and listen to Noodle :)
first time player, thanks for the video, I never paid attention to any of the dialogues because, well, it's an arpg, I never considered writing was a strength of the genre, , but it's nice to listen to someone explaining the story while I play the game
I've been eagerly awaiting your return! Hope you've been cooking
So great seeing you back!
Somewhere, Kirac is having a heart attack after finding out atlas devices can be built.
Im so glad you back ❤ We were missing you ❤❤❤
Good luck noodle. You did great job.
