Due to this video´s sudden rise in popularity I feel the need to address one tiny thing: *This is not an “Alternative Universe” story.* This is not a case of “What would have happend if Dimitri from Fox Animation Studios´ “Anastasia” met Disney´s prince Eric?”. Not even close. This is an *original story that I decided to tell with the help of already existing characters*. Why? I am not an animator. I cannot create my own characters from scratch on my own. I would need a team of animators in order to do that, something that I do not have the budget to do at this moment in my life. So I “borrow" characters from already existing movies and manipulate them in order to tell the story I want to tell (non-profit of course). OH MY GOD!!! We both watched this together and let me tell you there were so many times when we both gasped or "awwed" or squealed! Oh my god. Every single mask. You probably already know how good you are at that!!! But the scene choice the story line. When Lilo and Jane (Nani and Cindy) were growing up, that montage was just so adorable. And that manip of Eric taking Dimitris hand to dance. Perfect. And when the lights turned on and Dimitri was older and Eric returned from cancer treatment we were both saying "oh my god" How can anyone be so talented in telling stories with disney characters. You are seriously the idol we both aspire to be like in crossover!!! I wasn't sure how I'd feel about watching this but it is one of my favorite videos!!!!!

Despite the sad theme that starts at the beginning, this video is filled with so much happiness and life! There are so many details that tell you about their lives and how happy they make each other. The sadness of Eric's battle with cancer is a little rushed, but I think that fits because the happiness of their life overcomes the sadness. Beautiful in story, pacing, and edit! I'll definitely be watching this a few more times to get all the details :)

Another fantastic video from you, dear ♥ As a sister to a cancer survivor, I truly feel like you captured Dimitri's emotions perfectly. Feeling sad and angry - but also happy for the time you had/have with your loved one. And I do appreciate that you chose a happy ending, otherwise I would've burst out in tears (even more than now xD) The thing most of the comments mention is Eric's bald head, and I find that interesting because of another topic that flies around in the Disney community - the discussion of a prince/princess with cancer or a handicap. People will look past the real "story" and only focus on what's different/wrong with the character. Even I were suprised by the scene of Eric, but my thought was "someone finally did it" - and laughing about it would only be me laughing at you and the story. Thank you for this masterpiece, Roosa ♥
I noticed something in your videos: everybody seems to have/find their place in the world. Careers, hobbies, purposes. Even the "To Belong" main characters look like they know what they want and need, despite being homeless and hopeless. So, I'd like to give you an idea, of course, you decide what to do with it: what about making a video regarding a person who is wasting his/her life away, someone who just doesn't know what to do, what to feel, what to think? This might sound excessive but there are countless people like this in the world. I'm sure you could do it flawlessly like always. Oh, and be utterly proud of this masterpiece, because it's indescribable.

((wanted to share about one my my favorite OCs that fall into the character type that you were describing)) It´s the main protagonist form what I would call "my own princess story". She was born mute, and due to the ancient customs that still prevail in her country she is seen as a bad omen and becomes an outsider right from he start. Even though she is the king and queens only child she looses the right to the throne, and even though she has political power, she is not taken seriously by anyone. While the years go by she looses her parents, whom are replaced by an other family, and now she is left completely in the shadows. She is still royal, but with no power and nothing to live for. Then shit happens and the story gets going and there are assassins and balls and betrayals and wonderful things going on and I want to make this into a movie so bad!! (* _ *)

Woke up this morning and checked my email. I was so freaking excited to find a new video!! Then I watched it and I cried. That was one of the most beautiful videos you have made. You truly have a gift. I love all of your videos.
I've been binge watching these kinds of videos for days for the sake of boredom and curiosity. However, this is by far one of the best one's I've seen. All the scenes were in sync with the music, so well edited you would have never guessed these were characters from separate movies, and the story was easy to follow from start to finish. IT WAS AMAZING END OF STORY

Oh my god, this was one hell of a ride! Everything had so much detail and your headcanons for your characters makes them sound so much more alive, it's wonderfull! And quick question, why does Dimitri look so chocked at 3:00 ? Did Cindy said some random curse word and Eric was all like ''Ah, they grow up so fast...'' while Dimitri says ''Are you insane?! She shouldn't say those things!''
I think laughed for 2 straight minutes after reading this! X,D Because that is basically exactly what I had in mind while making the scene. ;) Something along these lines: Cindy - "But then the unicorn said... You shall BURN IN HELL!!" Eric - "You go, Magical Unicorn Princess!! (Cont: Get rid of those bandits from your kingdom and save your poor citizens!)" Dimitri (internally) - "Where the HELL has my little girl learned that expression?!??!"
Meggy15 (Fell into head-canon hell, so hold onto your hats people) He is totally the kind of persons who stopped swearing when he became a parent, but it is such a deeply rooted habit that he will often slip up without even realizing it. :P So yes. She learned it from him. XD Thankfully both her dads have talks with her about how hurtful/rude/inappropriate some words are, and that she should not use them against other people. As an adult she likes to "save" her "monthly swears" and then blur them all out all at once. She finds it to be cleansing. There is a fun story attached to this: One night when she was at work, standing on the stage in the seemingly empty theater hall, she felt that this was the perfect opportunity to get it all out for that month. So she starts swearing at the top of her lungs, then most vulgar stuff one can image, and then in the middle of it all she hears another person´s voice. She stops, and in the audience there is a horrified man (a stranger to her) begging for forgiveness. He was part of the cleaning personal, and had accidentally fallen asleep on the chairs in the hall. The sudden swearing had woken him up, convinced that Cindy was yelling at him. Embarrassed to the bones, Cindy did her best to explain the situation and offered to buy him some coffee as an apology. They became friends after that and 4 years later they got married. :)
Meggy15 Cindy does not like to tell this story to people because she wants to keep her knowledge of vulgar swears a secret. Her husband of the other hand likes having people guess which ones she knows. Nobody has ever guessed the top 3 worst ones. X,D

It has a beautiful exciting video with a lot of sadness, but also filled with joy tells the story of these two characters that we know will not happen, but it is very beautiful to see the story of the two and the girls growing and evolving for me. This is the part that I remember the little heart that most also makes me very happy. I've seen this video many times, but it always makes me cry.

Alright, now that I've watched this a couple of times more (... let's just say that 'a couple' might be more than ten) I decided to leave a better comment saying what I really thought of the video. This might be a long one 'cause I've got a lot of things on my mind. I'm glad I can now think about this video whenever the song is played on the radio 'cause it tends to be played quite a lot, haha! Knowing the lyrics in advance gave me some expectations of course, but all the flashbacks that were shown through photographs and home videos were a really good way of telling the story of their relationship. I'm glad it went beyond just the two of them and included their children too. I'd want to point out some parts that I liked the most. I loved how subtly yet powerfully you showed how Dimitri didn't keep any contact with his parents. The song sounds a bit dark at the beginning so showing the torn photograph really fit the mood of the song too. The whole part with the lyrics "Kutsun tätä rakkaudeksi kahden ihmisen" was somehow really touching because of how the visuals and the music went together (and it really makes you think the song is about a homosexual couple rather than a straight one, right?) Then the contrast between their happy wedding and the cancer diagnosis was so sudden and powerful, painting the upcoming flashbacks a bit more melancholy in advance. And oh my, do I love the memories during the 2nd chorus. They're so beautiful and innocent :') My favourite part in the entire video starts with the flashback of their meeting and continues until the very end. The spotlight and the theatre just fit the strongest part of the song amazingly. Eric and Dimitri also make very adorable parents :') Eric's appearance sure was a bit surprising at first, but that's just because I'm used to seeing him with hair. I didn't have time to feel surprised for too long though 'cause I was just so happy to see that he was alright and that they got to spend their golden anniversary together, the warning in the description made me fear the worst :') ... I really didn't intend the comment to be so lengthy oops. I only skimmed through what I wrote so I apologize if something sounds a bit sloppy. Overall, this was worth all the wait and the hype. Now let me watch it another 100 times.
Aaaah! Long comments! So much fun to read!! :3 Whenever I heard this song in my iTunes, this was the story that was playing out in my head every time (not neceserally with these charcerts at first, they came later) and I am glad that people are not mad at me for sharing this. :) That part of the lyrics actually made me cryseveral times during the making of this. It was just so powerful to me and I really tried my best to transfer my feelings to the screen. X,3 And oh, the wedding/diagnosis contrast!!! When I made the scenes I had no idea where in the song they would be placed. My original thought was to have the wedding at one of the “church bells” part of the lyrics, but that changed. Then I by pure experimentation put them next to one another. My sister found me sobbing in my bed after that. :P The theater scene and onwards in my favorite part to. :D The ending is supposed to have people taken aback, it is the “twist” after all (otherwise I would have showed all of him in the first scene). :o Thank you for all of this! Feeling sad and angry - but also happy for the time you had/have with your loved one. And I do appreciate that you chose a happy ending, otherwise I would've burst out in tears (even more than now xD)
The thing most of the comments mention is Eric's bald head, and I find that interesting because of another topic that flies around in the Disney community - the discussion of a prince/princess with cancer or a handicap. People will look past the real "story" and only focus on what's different/wrong with the character. Even I were suprised by the scene of Eric, but my thought was "someone finally did it" - and laughing about it would only be me laughing at you and the story.

I noticed something in your videos: everybody seems to have/find their place in the world. Careers, hobbies, purposes. Even the "To Belong" main characters look like they know what they want and need, despite being homeless and hopeless. So, I'd like to give you an idea, of course, you decide what to do with it: what about making a video regarding a person who is wasting his/her life away, someone who just doesn't know what to do, what to feel, what to think? This might sound excessive but there are countless people like this in the world. I'm sure you could do it flawlessly like always. Oh, and be utterly proud of this masterpiece, because it's indescribable.

This was very interesting for me to read, because at first I did not agree AT ALL!! Like, I was waiting my finger in the air, ready to be all snarky, telling you about all the characters that I have that are exactly what you are talking about.

((wanted to share about one my my favorite OCs that fall into the character type that you were describing))
It´s the main protagonist form what I would call "my own princess story". She was born mute, and due to the ancient customs that still prevail in her country she is seen as a bad omen and becomes an outsider right from he start. Even though she is the king and queens only child she looses the right to the throne, and even though she has political power, she is not taken seriously by anyone. While the years go by she looses her parents, whom are replaced by an other family, and now she is left completely in the shadows. She is still royal, but with no power and nothing to live for.
Then shit happens and the story gets going and there are assassins and balls and betrayals and wonderful things going on and I want to make this into a movie so bad!! (* _ *)

In all honesty, this is some of the best editing I've ever seen. This is absolutely fantastic. Every idea came across perfectly, it flowed, everything looked natural, the song was wonderful and the story fit it perfectly, I cannot stress how amazed I am. I am just blown away. Woke up this morning and checked my email. I was so freaking excited to find a new video!! Then I watched it and I cried. That was one of the most beautiful videos you have made. You truly have a gift. I love all of your videos.
I've been binge watching these kinds of videos for days for the sake of boredom and curiosity. However, this is by far one of the best one's I've seen. All the scenes were in sync with the music, so well edited you would have never guessed these were characters from separate movies, and the story was easy to follow from start to finish. IT WAS AMAZING END OF STORY

He is totally the kind of persons who stopped swearing when he became a parent, but it is such a deeply rooted habit that he will often slip up without even realizing it. :P
So yes. She learned it from him. XD Thankfully both her dads have talks with her about how hurtful/rude/inappropriate some words are, and that she should not use them against other people. As an adult she likes to "save" her "monthly swears" and then blur them all out all at once. She finds it to be cleansing.
There is a fun story attached to this: One night when she was at work, standing on the stage in the seemingly empty theater hall, she felt that this was the perfect opportunity to get it all out for that month. So she starts swearing at the top of her lungs, then most vulgar stuff one can image, and then in the middle of it all she hears another person´s voice. She stops, and in the audience there is a horrified man (a stranger to her) begging for forgiveness.
He was part of the cleaning personal, and had accidentally fallen asleep on the chairs in the hall. The sudden swearing had woken him up, convinced that Cindy was yelling at him. Embarrassed to the bones, Cindy did her best to explain the situation and offered to buy him some coffee as an apology. They became friends after that and 4 years later they got married. :)

It has a beautiful exciting video with a lot of sadness, but also filled with joy tells the story of these two characters that we know will not happen, but it is very beautiful to see the story of the two and the girls growing and evolving for me. This is the part that I remember the little heart that most also makes me very happy. I've seen this video many times, but it always makes me cry.

Okay, you had outdone yourself with this one. The storyline is lovely, the effects and transitions had me in awe; my favorite is Nani and Cindy plus the camera manip. By the way how many manips were used, it seemed like a handful!
so during the beginning of this totally thought Eric was dead then he showed up and I just got so happy! Also Dimitri blushing when he asked Eric to dance was so adorable I didn't know I needed it in my life until now. This was so beautifully done I love it! Thank you for such a sweet video.
Alright, now that I've watched this a couple of times more (... let's just say that 'a couple' might be more than ten) I decided to leave a better comment saying what I really thought of the video. This might be a long one 'cause I've got a lot of things on my mind.
I'm glad I can now think about this video whenever the song is played on the radio 'cause it tends to be played quite a lot, haha! Knowing the lyrics in advance gave me some expectations of course, but all the flashbacks that were shown through photographs and home videos were a really good way of telling the story of their relationship. I'm glad it went beyond just the two of them and included their children too.
I'd want to point out some parts that I liked the most.
I loved how subtly yet powerfully you showed how Dimitri didn't keep any contact with his parents. The song sounds a bit dark at the beginning so showing the torn photograph really fit the mood of the song too.
The whole part with the lyrics "Kutsun tätä rakkaudeksi kahden ihmisen" was somehow really touching because of how the visuals and the music went together (and it really makes you think the song is about a homosexual couple rather than a straight one, right?) Then the contrast between their happy wedding and the cancer diagnosis was so sudden and powerful, painting the upcoming flashbacks a bit more melancholy in advance. And oh my, do I love the memories during the 2nd chorus. They're so beautiful and innocent :')
My favourite part in the entire video starts with the flashback of their meeting and continues until the very end. The spotlight and the theatre just fit the strongest part of the song amazingly. Eric and Dimitri also make very adorable parents :')
Eric's appearance sure was a bit surprising at first, but that's just because I'm used to seeing him with hair. I didn't have time to feel surprised for too long though 'cause I was just so happy to see that he was alright and that they got to spend their golden anniversary together, the warning in the description made me fear the worst :')
... I really didn't intend the comment to be so lengthy oops. I only skimmed through what I wrote so I apologize if something sounds a bit sloppy.
Overall, this was worth all the wait and the hype. Now let me watch it another 100 times.

Whenever I heard this song in my iTunes, this was the story that was playing out in my head every time (not neceserally with these charcerts at first, they came later) and I am glad that people are not mad at me for sharing this. :)
That part of the lyrics actually made me cryseveral times during the making of this. It was just so powerful to me and I really tried my best to transfer my feelings to the screen. X,3 And oh, the wedding/diagnosis contrast!!! When I made the scenes I had no idea where in the song they would be placed. My original thought was to have the wedding at one of the “church bells” part of the lyrics, but that changed. Then I by pure experimentation put them next to one another. My sister found me sobbing in my bed after that. :P
The theater scene and onwards in my favorite part to. :D
The ending is supposed to have people taken aback, it is the “twist” after all (otherwise I would have showed all of him in the first scene). :o
