I'm praying that prayer right now!!! "May my joy, my strength and my satisfaction be found in You God!" Amen!! That means when I am sad, He is my answer! When I am weak, He is my answer! When I am discontent, He is my answer!!! HE is my answer for everything!! Yes Lord!! Let it be so!!! There was so much good content in this video (Like how Saul has no Holy Spirit and thus no internal conviction. So he can only see his sin and feel remorse when someone else who walks the Holy Spirit points it out., like David. Then as soon as David leaves, the conviction leaves and Saul goes back to his evil self. Reminds me that we cannot change people, we can only temporarily sway them. Only a true walk with God brings change.) But honestly Kim, I can't even go there right now because I want to mediate on that prayer. "God be my joy, my strength and my satisfaction! I'm going to pray that as I get out of here and drive to work! Thank you again!
Amen, such a good reminder that we can not bring about a true change in individuals, only God. Oh, the importance and power of prayer! Now, I do think Saul very much knew he was in sin, hunting David like he did, killing priests, etc. But there was something about knowing he came close to death at David's hand....but David spared his life---that moved him to remorse both times. Not that godly sorrow that leads to true repentance, but that brush with death temporary remorse. Even if David had returned with him as Saul asked (can you even imagine??) David's presence wouldn't have mattered. Dave would've gotten about 50 yards and Saul would've turned on him. lol smh HE is my answer to everything!! AMEN! I'm praying that prayer too!
Yes, you're so right! I guess when it comes to Saul, I should not have said he didn't know. I guess I should have said he didn't care. Only in sparse moments did he feel remorse and only temporarily. Sort of like the abuser who weeps in the pastor's office, but when he gets home, does it again. Thank you for the correction!!!
Thank you, sister, love your insights into the Word.... I am not trying to give empty flattery, but your love for Christ is contagious 😋, only the Lord knows how our obedience impacts others like a ripple effect.
This is what I needed to hear! I love the way you speak. It’s such a motherly and leadership type of talk. It’s inspiring and I love the way you tell the story so I can understand! I am definitely subscribing and can’t wait to see more! I want to learn more and more of God! Amen!
Amen to this message for wanting to spare the lives of my opponents I will succeed in life attaching myself to the heritage of the almighty Lord, loosening 1 samuel 26 and binding every attachments to other gods/demons than God almigthy as well as binding every spirit of revenge in the name and by the blood of Jesus Christ, hallelujah!
Kim I absolutely LOVE LOVE this series that you're doing on this book!!! I saw you only had 25 chapters in the playlist and was so sad lol Then I saw chapter 26 today...I was soooo excited!!!!! You are truly a storyteller and God has really blessed you with a gift!!! Can't wait for the rest of the chapter ☺☺☺
Aww, LaToya, praise God! Your encouragement is such a blessing and I'm so thankful to God. And I'm glad I updated the playlist because a couple of weeks ago, there were only about 17 videos in it....lol. Can't believe we're almost finished with this book, then we're moving on to 2 Samuel. So glad to be studying with you!!
No one can come against our God. Saul & his three thousand men could not, for our God controls the sleep of men. WoW that is powerful . Oh how I Love Jesus! He's a great and mighty God. When God is on your side and you CLING to him you can go through anything, just ask David. Powerful study sis. I pray God's blessings on you. XOXO
Great and mighty indeed, sis! There's no one like Him! I love seeing Him show Himself strong as in this chapter. Thankful to be studying with you, sis!
I am so blessed by your channel! I have subscribed and turned on notifications. I look forward to following God's lead... and your channel! God's blessings continue! In Jesus Name! Amen!
I am trying to imagine the scene where David and Abishai are having the conversation about what to do to Saul in the middle of the that circle. This is such a thriller. Imagine the whole camp asleep. silence, darkness, and two men moving silently moving through the people......, and then stop to have a full blown conversation...... 😳😳😲.SMH. God is God indeed.
I was just thinking that....what if Saul had truly repented? Saul should've definitely been paranoid! How much clearer could it be that God was completely on David's side and Saul's days were numbered? lol
Therefore was this a sign to Saul that David could have killed him, but also a sign to Saul that the Lord will deal with him in due time. Because I understand that David knows God's plan and the message that God does/Will do the same for us towards our enemy. I'm confused was this message for Saul? Blessings sister Kim, help clear my confusion
Irma, I don't know that this was God specifically giving Saul a message in this chapter. He had already told Saul through Samuel that his kingdom was taken from him and would be given to the man God anointed (David). So Saul already knows his days are numbered and God will deal with him. BUT, specifically intended or not, I'm sure Saul got that message! :) I think God put Saul's army to sleep and enabled David to do what he did to build David's faith that God was in control and David did not need to fear that Saul was coming after him once again. Sadly, David's faith takes a hit in the next chapter regardless. Hope that helps, sis!

I knooowww! Isn't that wild?! It really is a thriller. I could totally see this in a movie. lol AMEN, God is God INDEED!
Amazing. David get so close to Saul. Saul should really be paranoid. LOL Sadly Saul didn't see those times as opportunities to repent.
I was just thinking that....what if Saul had truly repented? Saul should've definitely been paranoid! How much clearer could it be that God was completely on David's side and Saul's days were numbered? lol
Saul is reminding me of Pharaoh.
I had never thought about that, Nicole, and I totally see it. Same spirit....
