This model has been recalled. I got a notification from Amazon requesting to stop using immediately and confirm destroy for a full refund. Recall states unit catches fire and causes batteries to ignite. 160 reported incidents with some injuries and property damage.
Thank you very much. When I went to compete I took this charger and was able to run without any worries or running out of power. I could have taken a whole bunch of batteries too but packing lighter and having the charger to handle the demand was a way better route.
I was going to buy a ProTek prodigy duo dual charger today for 119$ but figured why not get this one for 87$, was able to pick up a couple zee batts with the savings. Thanks for the video!
Heck yeah. That’s awesome. I really put this charger to work during the comp runs and it never let me down. Thank you very much for your comment and support.
Just bought the same charger and I’m thoroughly impressed. I also have the cheap Prophet charger so now I can charge 3 batteries at once. I’m the battery king!!! Lol
Good Video for getting started with using my new C240 DUO Charger. I haven't looked yet, maybe you already created a video for it. But, it would be nice to see a video on some of the "other" function's, for example: Discharging, When & Why / Recording specific steps... Just a thought...
Thanks for your great video. I have a Yuneec Q500 quad drone and have been through tons of Lipo batteries. I'll admit I was not handling the batteries correctly. The charger that came with the drone stinks. I just bought this unit from Amazon and it will arrive today. Your video reaffirms my decision to get this charger.
Im receiving this charger in a boat purchase and just checking ahead. I also have 2 duo venom chargers well over a year and they work flawlessly. I'm starting to feel like a battery store with my collection of batteries 😂
Thanks for the information. I have a 240 Duo and was looking for additional from the manual. My manual was for a single unit so seeing the specific unit i am using was helpful. I am charging 11.1 v lipos using the balanced charge connection and balanced charge setting. Am I correct in thinking the only time I would use the straight "charge" setting would be for batteries without a computer connection?
Can you tell me exactly what you did wrong when charging? What settings did you use? And what settings should you have used? Im fairly new myself any info would be good. What exactly is high voltage ? I only know. 2s 3s etc
Great question. So Lipo charging on the charger should read “LiPo” like normal. High voltage are not “LiPo” but actually “LiHV” Lithium polymer high voltage. Charging at the lipo setting created heat causing the pack to swell.
@@thercsyndicate9867 man that is the things that cause those big ass fires isnt it? Wow that is a mistake anyone new like me could make. I ordered the charger today and thanks for the information.
I made a mistake and luckily nothing happened. Make sure you always charge your lipos in a lipo bag incase you haven’t been yet. Thank you for your comment.
I appreciate it. I think I was just kinda showing you can charge independently with different voltages. I charge my lipos at half or a little over half of the capacity but other have told me I can charge at at capacity. 1500mah =1.5amps. Back on the olden days of cheapbatteries.com labeled to charge at half the capacity.
Hi, I've just bought one of those chargers, its great, do you happen to know what the storage voltage charge shuts down at, great video man,, I've subbed,
Is this a good charger for someone who mostly has cars from Amazon such as Hiaboxing and WLtoys ? or just stick with the slow usb chargers that came in the box ?
If you are able to charge with a battery plug and you have a balance plug then yes. This would be a great option. Batteries like ones from the scx24 or lost mini t have their batteries charge through the balance plug. If the amp hours are 500 or less I think the usb would be just fine.

Confirmed, just received my recall notification too.
I just bought this charger, new to rc electric so steep learning curve for me! Videos and information like this is excellent, thanks for posting it 👍.

Thanks for the video! I’m going to purchase this charger to do my X Maxx batteries 🤙🏼

Nice video. Does that loud fan run all the time?

Great review, why not charge that 1500 battery at 1.5 AMPs ? why are you dropping it all the way down to .5?

It's perfectly fine to charge at 1c rate.example 5A for a 5000mah battery, 2.2A for a 2200mah. That's a standard charge rate.
do you know what's the difference between *LiPo Balance CHG* and *LiPo Charge*
All in all good charger but ch2 on mine won’t do anything just says reverse polarity
Great Video, better than reading the instruction manual, lol!
Thank you Brother, very informative 👍!
Haha awesome. I’m glad it helped out a little. I’ve been charging packs like no other through these chargers and solid. No issues. A solid purchase.
Hi, I've just bought one of those chargers, its great, do you happen to know what the storage voltage charge shuts down at, great video man,, I've subbed,
manual says storage voltage LiPo 3.85V, LiIo 3.75V, LiHV 4.35V
Does this charger show individual cell volt while charging???
yes it can
I have a 6s 6000mah battery. Been on charger for min and not done yet. Is that normal?
10:49 whats the number on the bottom right? (just under the voltage)
Can you power it from a 12v battery when in the field ?
Nice explanation
Does this charger comes with Ec3 connectors
No but you Can use the positive and negative alligator clips.
Can this charge lifepo4 battery?

You should get this one even better HTRC T400 Pro balance charger
whats the pc link software do ?
I have a question. Is it best to set the charger to accurate when balance charging or leave it at its default standard setting?
IDK but I set mine to accurate because why not be as accurate as possible
It's not awesome and likely to catch fire
